Why Chevy Is The One To Buy And Buy It From A Small Town Dealer 

There are class action lawsuits against both of Chevy's V8s for lifter issues and this summer a judge approved a lawsuit against their 8 speed transmission. No Chevys for me.

Lifetime Chevy owner and have NEVER had an issue with any vehicle I’ve ever owned. There are issues with EVERY brand, make and model so there’s no reason to be biased one way or another. Like what you like and take care of your vehicles. Nice vid!

Did a lot of research and I settled on a GMC Sierra 1500 AT4 with 3.0 Duramax diesel. Got it from a small dealer in upstate NY. I’m very pleased. I left Toyota and I feel I got a great deal.

I love the Colorado & the Canyon trucks unlike most others they overbuilt their bottom ends of their 4-cylinder turbos like a diesel

I totally agree with you when it comes to customer service they go on and beyond for you, sales experience same thing there sales people will take care of you from the minute you walk on the lot.

Couldn’t agree more. I’ve least with Chevy last 6 years, two different silverados for these reasons. The deals I’ve gotten are so beyond better than any other company. And the trucks are great! 6.2l v8 with active exhaust. Can’t complain.

I hope your right. I have a '24 Colorado. Overall the truck is ok so far. The 2.7 has adequate power but sounds terrible and is not as smooth as I'd like. I am meticulous about maintenance and take good care of my vehicles so I hope this truck is reliable and trouble free for me long term. So far no returns to the dealer. By the way the dealer I bought from was barely competent but not the worst buying experience I've had.

I keep my vehicles for at least ten years. I’m not sure Colorado has the reliability. I feel like I’d have fewer issues with Ridgeline, Frontier, or Gladiator.

I'm currently on my 2nd Silverado. What I don't like about the newer models: that insipid auto start/stop and dynamic fuel management where your cylinders go from 2-8 firing, depending on need. I was able to use a Range Tech in my 2017 and keep my 5.3 in V-8 mode 24/7. I also know a someone who runs an axle shop and he claims that the GM auto-locking rear differential has a faulty design. I haven't experienced any problems with mine yet.

I own a 2020 tacoma and wanted to buy the new tacoma, but i can't trust toyota Reliability anymore. So i might as well buy a colorado zr2 bison aev. Either one is a gamble.

Let's be honest with ourselves, as of today, the Colorado is the best offer on the mid-size pickup truck market. The design is truly the best, and if you go for the ZR2 or BISON, you'll definitely turn heads in the neighborhood. Off-road capabilities? The base models come with automatic all-wheel drive, and let’s not forget about the legendary G80 - a free rear differential locker for all owners, isn’t that cool? What do base Toyotas, Nissans, or Fords offer? The base ZR2 comes with Multimatic shocks and loads of other cool off-road features, and of course, the cherry on top is the front and rear differential lockers, making it a beast off-road. Now the question is: who can offer something similar? No one. The only competitor is the Gladiator with the 3.6 Pentastar and ZF transmission, and yes, this is indeed the best combo on the market in terms of reliability. But guys, have you seen the price for a Rubicon?! Good luck finding one for under $70k. Meanwhile, you can build a ZR2 with ventilated seats and HD cameras for $54k. The only thing concerning about the Colorado is the very modern electronics, which have already had some issues, and the new 8L80 transmission, which we know very little about so far. For those worried about this, wait a bit for Chevy to test it thoroughly.

Has GM finally resolved the lifter failure problems? I have not heard much lately about this problem and I was never sure about how frequently that problem occurred. I have seen videos recently with a lot fuel pump failures, of course leaving owners stranded, happening on GM trucks. Wondering if there’s any validity to that problem.

Nice overall reviews and outlook. I've owned two 3/4 Fords since 2001. The 7.3l powerjoke and now the 2018 F250 6.2l. I main complaint on the 2018 6.2l when not towing tractor for shredding jobs is the buck board ride! I miss my 2014 Tundra!!! But we upgraded our 2014 4rnr for a 2023 4x2 and can't swing another payment. So, new tires and Bilsteins and hopefully ride will smooth out, some. I know we 3/4 owners are a minority but for future reviews would you consider reviewing the differences in rides of a Ram, Ford and Chevy/GMC? Our son's Silverado rides as nice as my old Tundra, so the IFS makes a huge difference. Here in Texas I see mostly Fords and Rams in the 3/4 range very few Chevy's, so wonder about reliability and durability of working the snot out of the IFS on the Chevy/GMC trucks. Thank you for being a straight shooter about all those comments where every truck sucks but the one the commenter owns...!!! had a good laugh!!!

“A very smart buy” have you seen the prices? Yeah a v8 but chev like others is plagued with engine transmission problems. Looks are subjective. Sorry not much difference than the others. Yeah Toyota motors are grenading but the company is making it right. Great channel

My coworker just bought a new z71 and less than 2000 miles they fix the engine of that truck. No Chevy for me.

If Chevy drops a 91-93 octane tune for the Turbomax since Ford dropped a performance tune for the Ranger Raptor, the 5.3L V8 becomes pointless. That being said, been in my ZR2 since last Friday. It's hard to put into words how impressed I am with the Turbomax in it. And I'm coming from a BMW inline 6 turbo with 400whp / 480wtq. Power rolls in very similarly, which I like. That motor moves the ZR2 on 33s so effortlessly.

I had five tries with a GM product. Never again…way too many Chinese parts in them today.

I had a 2002 Avalanche and it was great, never had an issue with it. Now I have a 1997 1500 WT with a V6. But now I want something comparable to a Ford Maverick, with a naturally aspirated V6 or V8 no turbo. Saying they ‘only marked up their prices 20%’ is like saying you only cheated a little on your test. Friend of mine bought a Chevy Trax earlier this year. She’s had multiple problems from brakes to electrical issues. The dealer just ignores her and refuses to fix anything. She is very unhappy with the whole mess.

I am so tired of all these companies with four-cylinder engines and a turbo. A turbo will burn out and they are not reliable or robust.

No Chevys. Until they permanently eliminate the AFM, DFM lifter failure problems. Which totally trashes the engine. Also, the 8 speed transmission is complete junk. It's a design flaw. With no fix.

Haha if something can sell by itself, of course it will be more expensive. Don’t tell me u don’t know the trouble afm dfm since 2007, or the fuel pump module trouble on all gm vehicle leaving people stranded in the middle of the road. I know the Toyota after 2023/2022 haven’t been reliable but they are on a whole new power train. Give it some time I bet 1/3 of what gm took and they will still be better than the best vehicle gm has to offer. All of gm are made in Silao, Guanajuato, Mexico don’t tell me u don’t know that open the door and check them all out. This is typical mindset of rural Georgian / Alabaman. I work on these instead of yapping on a RU-vid appeasing to GM fanboys. Praising everything even the 2.7 4 cylinder 😂😂😂. Next thing u know they will come out with a 3 cylinder hybrid and u will be praising that as well. 3.0 duramax isn’t any better and even the 6.6 gasser without the cylinder deactivation breaks down. Not hard to look them up sierra Silverado forum fb group or Reddit. Every day there are people posting. Gm also doesn’t e coat their frames ram and ford both do. Can’t drive them up north

Wow I like your videos but you need to do your research the Chevy trucks are pretty nice looking I'm going to agree especially the Colorado Z71 beautiful looking truck but if you do your homework they're having nothing but problems just as bad as Toyota garbage!!! It's all in the research no point on deceiving lying to people!!! Let's just tell it the way it is you want a real truck go buy a Ridgeline don't judge it until you've tried one believe me I did and you won't go back promise you that!!!!!

I have seen 2 year old Silverados on auto trader with 25-40,000 miles on them for $25,000. What does everyone think about one? V8 with 8ft bed, obviously.
