Simple question who Wrote the bible because the torch and quran state their authors and Matthew mark luke Jhon aren't there real names even in the old Greek MANUSCRIPTS they can't find an author just notes from Priest and saints they Claim to pick from Seventy gospels to make up the thirty seven gospels of the original new testament so who came up with the gospels and what happened to the ones that didn't make it and who came up with These gospels please do your research with a grain of salt

@@dougboy2856 You have to understand two things. First, the original Gospels no longer exist in it's entirety. Don't forget, they didn't exactly have laptops and the internet where data could be transferred from place to place, person to person or stored in it's original format. Nor did they have anyone who could proofread and verify the contents. They were mostly letters written to a very large audience and it took a while to gather these letters and write them down as a form of codex. Also, a large part of the original writings were translated, often with grammatical errors, word associations unique to one particular language, and of course a healthy dose artistic license including omissions, additions and exaggerations, then re-translated into dead languages and again re-translated back, and this caused a lot of deviations from the original script. Not to mention parchments have a very short shelf life and we don't even know who the authors are! It would be best to consult the surviving, original manuscripts found in museums and academia, such as the Codex Sinaiticus, Codex Alexandrinus Codex, Vaticanus and correct the modern Bible back into what is was meant to, such as the NIV or the CSB. Versions such as the TLB and GNT are rife with errors. Second, the Gospels in print as we know it are much younger than just from around 50 - 100 AD; they were slap-dashed together by Emperor Constantine and the bishops of Bithynia to counter the threat of Arianism which threatened Constantine's control of the Roman Empire. He knew Christianity was on the increase, and so to side with the winning team he declared Christianity as the dominant religion, and also negating the genocide committed by early Christian fundamentalists, Conservative Jews and pagan followers that threatened his credibility as a ruler. Then in 325 AD, to consolidate his power, he convened the First Council of Nicea where the first, modern Bible was created and the rest is history. So naturally there is the issue of the time frame and Gospel content, and luckily scholars have worked hard to sort this mess out.

What other religions have you been studying? Hinduism invented snakes and ladders to show you have no control over your life and regularly play it during the spring festival to remind themselves of that fact. And catholicism, a form of christianity, has the whole "through works not by faith" thing. So even christianity is not immune from trying to do things through human power.

Like you, I have suffered from decades of chronic fatigue, Lyme and otherwise unidentified illness which is now compounded by long C video. Yet the Lord has been so gracious to me through His Word. I look forward to spending more time with you here, for I feel I have found a brother. Your testimonies resonate with my own prayer time and inspire me as I begin to expand my evangelism to youtube as well. The hurdle I face is the temptation to go it alone, yet another excuse to isolate at home on a computer all day. I do have the encouragement of my pastor and church elders, but I need to somehow make my efforts here a collaborative one or else fall into a trap of vanity and isolation. We are most definitely not fundamentally good. God created us good, but we inherited a sin nature at the fall of man. But thank God for his grace.

We are saved by grace alone, through faith alone. When a person exercises true saving faith, they are born again. When a person is born again, this produces a transformation. The works that come from this transformation are NOT meritorious of salvation in ANY way, but rather are the evidence of the born-again experience. This is the gospel of grace alone.

The Bible tells us that God is just. If he allowed any sin to go unpunished, he would not be perfectly just. In fact, he would be an evil and corrupt judge. But Jesus took the punishment for sin on the cross, demonstrating that God is both just and merciful.

Yes Geelong are a great team. Love your content Matt....please pray for me at the moment as I am suffering with chronic anxiety and chronic pelvic pain which have been ongoing for the past 2 years. Unfortunately I am having intense suicidal thoughts at the moment. No intent but I cannot get rid of thoughts of self harm. I do not understand as I have very strong faith in Jesus and have given everything I am to him. You would think with this strong relationship with God I would not be having these thoughts.

I’m very sorry to hear that. Have you watched my videos about mental health, and physical illness? I’ve opened up a fair bit about some of this stuff. Going through crazy OCD thoughts, due to protracted withdrawals, has been beyond tormenting at times. Just know, that you’re not alone. Every single one of us chooses wilfully to sin. We are not without excuse. The only way that we could stop, as if God made us robots. That is not the answer. But God did provide the solution, which is salvation through Jesus Christ. He gives us something better than justice, and that is mercy. No one is going to be eternally separated from God because they didn’t believe in him. People will be eternally separated from God because they have sinned. By believing in him, a person can be free from the punishment that they deserve. It’s like a person is already drowning in the ocean, God is reaching out his hand to save them. If the person reject this, God is not throwing them into the water, but that person is choosing to remain in the water, where they will drown. I don’t accept the opinion that no one can know the truth about what happens after death. This itself is simply an opinion. I ask the question of who is most reliable to give me the answer to what happens after death, or if we can know. The one who is most reliable, the only one who is reliable, is Jesus Christ. He fulfilled numerous prophecies, written hundreds and thousands of years before he came to the earth. He historically rose from the dead, proving that he is God. I trust him to tell me the answers. We don’t need to read every other philosophy written, in order to discover the truth. Just like with anything else, when we find something is reliable, we can put our trust in it. Jesus Christ has proven himself reliable, as I mentioned above. But, having studied other religions and philosophies, there’s one thing for sure. There is no other text that has proven. It’s divine origin, other than the Bible. Fulfilled prophecies have validated this. There’s no other person in the history of the world who claim to be God in the flesh, and backed it up by historically rising from the dead. I would encourage you to explore the truth of these things further. There’s a really great channel called “Testify” with some really great evidences for the Bible and the resurrection. I'll have a look into the fulfilled prophecies, I only know what I've heard from others. Such as "they say this is a prophecy but it isn't" And in regards to Jesus Christ being a real person. Sure I probably can say I think that's true, as for raising from the grave I'm not so sure. As well as the miracles. I say this because Christians like to point out the over 500 eye witnesses as proof, bars in mind proof with the eyes are ultimately the best proof for anyone. But there's people in third world countries who have been able to arguably fool way more than 500 people, take TB Joshua for example.

When it comes to the big questions no Christian has an answer because they don't actually know, either that or their answer is not anything even from the Bible its usually just a guess or their own opinion, I notice they are all programmed to question a question and always use analogizes to answer everything. Stuff like why does Jesus even have to put this Curse onto Adam to begin with, it makes no sense why he would even create the human race knowing we are all going to sin in the first place. If I got together in an era with no electricity or any form of internet with a bunch of people and made a book claiming to be inspired by God and spent years of our life planning it perfect to make it look as though it cannot be contradicted or have any mistakes. You'd probably still believe it. The new testament is so short too, the fact it Lines up with the old testament is not surprising, as the old testament was the first book.. Thanks for listening to my comments, I do wish I could seek answers but I just find it all hard to believe, if I told someone I lived in the belly of a fish for 3 days and nights I'd be sent off to a ward for a mental assessment.

I know that Reformed Theology teaches this, but I haven't read it anywhere in the Bible. Where does the Bible say that "Jesus took the punishment for sin on the cross"? God is always just and merciful toward those who follow Him. “The Lord, the Lord, a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness..." That was 1000 years before Jesus.

The Bible tells us that the animal sacrifices were a foreshadow that was “looking forward,” to the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. As I said above, if God allows evil to go unpunished, he is not just. This is very simple truth. I’ll leave it there.
