Hi! I am so glad to hear that Santa is a part of your family tradition! My parents raised me to Love Jesus with my all & all. I had the Christmas story from Luke memorized at four. I would stop each family member to make them listen. Yet my precious Moma and Daddy would do all the Santa stuff as well. They set up toys and left an empty cookie plate and mug where I had made hot coco for Santa! Of course I think my parents were the best of the best! But, all of those memories coexisted and I grew up in love with Jesus! Believing in Santa was tons of fun at say 3-6yrs of age. Momma & Daddy were great at laying a firm foundation for me in Jesus. Just wanted to share with you. Praise our Jesus!
I wonder why christmas is so popular under christians as it is a pagan festival that is not written about in the bible. In Lev.23 the bible speaks of His holy days....know where is christmas mentioned. Stronger yet His birth day is also not bluntly mentioned. But one thing is certain in can't be in Dec. Because Shepards don't watch their flock by night in the winter. So wheredoes this christmas ariganate from?
Lol...honestly didn't watch. Just passed by the thumbnail. Im sure they're great people and I'm sure being Christians they believe Jesus is the reason for the season...but their outfits say something else. Everyone's free to celebrate what they want but I just wish " Christians" would just be honest and say Christmas has nothing to do with Christ and everything to do with heathen customs. If we Christians truly have a heart for Jesus, we would look into why our Lord and Savior gets a celebration that's likely months away from his actual birth month. The bible is never on the side of majority. So if you're a " minority Christian" that doesn't celebrate...know that the minority followed Jesus and Paul. Someone got this far reading? The gospel that saves our soul from destruction is found in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4. May everyday be a day to celebrate our Lord🤗
Something that I always do is the light the world campaign. It focuses on Christ in Christmas and there are a lot of service opportunities that it has. It also has a lot of easy things to do for others like take dinner to a friend or call someone who is sick or visit people who feel a lone things like that
I've never heard of this before. It sounds incredible! Is this something that is local to you or something that's more popular everywhere? I'd really like to know more about this so my family and I can participate.
Jinger!!! You have to watch "A Christmas Story"! The ones we watched as kids are Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer and Frosty the Snowman... I'm surprised you didn't mention Scrooge etc. I'd love to hear what you think about A Christmas Story though! Merry Christmas to you and yours. xoxo
Here is what is so funny, today we are doing stoffers lasagna and garlic bread!!! lol My husband use to work for a company that catered using Stoffers and at first we joked about it, until we admitted how BOMB Stoffers Lasagna is!!! lol It is on the menu for today which is so funny you mention it. Merry CHRISTmas everyone. Jesus saves. 😊🎉
Celebrating Christmas is commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ but sadly it has become so commercialized!! I think that Santa should be left out entirely!! Simple old fashioned Christmases are the best!!
To be perfectly honest, Jinger, your interviews with people other than Jeremy are much better. I mean no disrespect toward Jeremy, but these interviews with him seem far more “ forced” than I think you intend them to be.when you interview with one of the real interviewers ( like Tamron Hall), you come across as very self assured you present in an excellent way. When you do these questions with Jeremy, they sound very forced and as if you are being controlled. This is just my opinion, but I have heard others say the same thing. I am glad you have some fun Christmas traditions with your little family. Seems to me that back on 19KAC, you guys didn’t do much at Christmas time. Your descriptions here are a far cry from what we saw on tv. It is clearly obvious you are protecting your parents.
Did you know that most Christmas songs were written by Jews? They absolutely were and some of the most famous singers of these songs were & are Jewish singers. While celebrating Christmas Please have in mind all the Israeli hostages still be illegally detained by Hamas terrorist who by the way hate Christianity almost as much as they hate Jews.
Merry Christmas and enjoy your time away with your family and friends. Balance is key to life and we see much progress, love and patience with your family. 🤗🎄🌲🙌🏽✝️🕊💜💜
I don't like cookies much either. My kids love Cookies I love Christmas with the kranks. We celebrate ADVENT season with the wreath candles and daily ADVENT prayers preparation for Jesus Christ Birth. St Nicholas feast day is DECEMBER 6th. We celebrate that day. I always taught St Nicholas. Love eggnog. Right now is ADVENT season season. Christmas starts Christmas day and it goes for 12 days of Christmas to January 6th Epiphany Day. It's true...never allow people to diminish your family celebrations with their outlandish Santa feelings...Santa is what you make him, or not and you can revere Jesus and make it all about Jesus without letting any negative Santa info in...does that make sense? It did in my head! Children need to know the importance of Christmas if they're Christian and even though I'm Jewish, I revere Jesus. Hanukkah is a very minor holiday for us and doesn't compare with Christmas in any way. It's the time for Christ...even I understand that. Someone in GA loves you all! Merry Christmas! 🎄🤲🌟🕎(sorry...the menorah was for me, lol). ❤
TOP CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER ... 1: ITS A WONDERFUL LIFE.. 2: MIRACLE ON 34TH STREET 3: A CHRISTMAS STORY 4: A CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS I BINGE THESE MOVIES AT CHRISTMAS TIME.
Love non dairy egg nog (obviously no eggs lol) ! I used to love Miracle on 34th street film. Doesn't matter that there is no way of knowing exactly what day Jesus wss born ....most important thing is that he was born and he sacrificed his life on the cross for us all and that he rose 3 days after being resurrected. Holidays are fun!
I remember when thier show first started they didn’t believe in putting a tree up. But they put a Banner up. Now her parents do. One by one as the kids got married they started putting trees up. I think it’s nice to give one gift from Santa then the rest of the gifts are from parents. It teaches children they can’t have everything due to parents not having a lot of money to get everything they wanted. We read the Christmas story out of the Bible holding a candle and then sing Silent Night before opening gifts. Merry Christmas Jinger and Jeremy and your sweet children! ✝️
My parents did that...1 unwrapped gift under the tree from Santa, the rest from my parents...I carried this tradition on with my 3 children, and they have their own children now...
@@catherineannelockman3805 it’s nice in my opinion and teaches the children that parents can’t buy everything they want. Kids today and not only these days but back when I raised mine they thought Santa bought thier presents and they’d get everything they wanted and if they didn’t they’d cry!
Home Alone is still a favorite of mine to this day! It was mine and my cousin's favorite Christmas movie growing up and since he passed in August, it's extra special
I keep tuning in occasionally and hope it will be interesting. It seems so planned and uninteresting. Guess this is why I bought Jills book and not this one.
We always told our little ones, that Santa brought presents in honor of Jesus Birthday. They always new that Santa was a good person, showing honor to Jesus.
We always told our kids that Santa was so happy about the birth of Christ that he shared his joy by giving gifts to everyone. But Santa only gave one gift and the parents buy the rest.
I know and understand why you don’t film and post your girls online. BUT, I’d love to see your Christmas card. It would be nice to see your beautiful family once a year.
You are the first person I’ve known of that loves Christmas with the Kranks! It’s my favorite and I usually watch it as I decorate the tree. Our kids are grown so Christmas is different than it used to be but we do our family gifts on Christmas Eve. When there is a good movie at the theater we would go there first. But that was harder when we have small grandchildren here. We watch Charlie Browns real meaning of Christmas segment before we open gifts! Merry Christmas to you and all your family! 🎄
I should tell you that Christmas started WAY before Jesus. It's a combination of different countries traditions. I never taught my kids Santa as a person, but rather a holiday tradition for people, so they wouldn't ruin it for other kids. For me Christmas is about LOVE. Love for families, friends and even strangers. If I could leave every person in need with something special I would!
I love cards, but rarely get them with so few people in my life. I send some, but it would be nice if people woukd actually include a letter or a paragraph even in the card. Just signing it just doesn't seem enough.
Christmas is my favorite too! Love hearing how y'all celebrate the holidays. My favorite films to watch at Christmas are Its a Wonderful Life and Little Women (1994). They are classics! Also, I love sending out Christmas cards.. do y'all have a public PO Box? FedEx? Gifting is my love language and 'tis the season' Merry Christmas & Happy New Year Blessings in 2024! 🎄🥂 Happy 30th Birthday Jinger!! 🥳
Thanks Jeremy and Jinger. Enjoyed it. Remember it's not Santa Claus but Santa's Cause that's what's really important. Bringing joy and happiness ,peace and love to little children that's most important. Have very Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year. GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY.
One of my favorite social media couples, love you both as a team of husband and wife, along with your 2 beautiful girls. God Bless ya all always. And Jinger...Stouffers lasagna is delicious, I make it all the time.
you two are the best! i absolutely love how you will let grandma spoil the kids without making a big deal out of it ( sugar intake) that’s what we grandmas do! jinger and jill are my two fav duggar girls!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! I love the shirts! lol And thanks for sharing your Christmas favorites and memories with us. I loved the pickle story. And my friend literally buys cases of egg nog to store up because she loves it so much. Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year. Loved your neighborhood tradition too. 🎅🤶🎁❄☃🙏❤💚
The only Santa I've had in my house at Christmas was a little statue of Santa kneeling over baby Jesus. I also love to see family Christmas cards. Wish I could see yours...
