Hey everyone, sorry for the issues with the sound at the end of the video. In summary, you can join our free FB group to connect with other's who are training for CG boot camp. Links are in the description.
I guess I had an unusual experience with recruiters. I called the main office and after the second ring the chief picked up. Scheduled an appointment for the next day. Nothing but smooth sailing for me. Surprised to hear about all the difficulty most people experience!
This happen to me I literally called like 4 different offices like 2 months ago, and only ONE got back to me and now I’m in the last steps of joining I already been to MEPs
I’ve sworn in and I’ve don’t everything I needed to, now I just need to sign my active duty and get my boot camp date, but it’s been 2 weeks since I’ve sworn in, and I’m just trying to get in I’ve been dying to serve, and now it’s more then that, I’m sleeping on a couch in the living room because I keep thinking “I’m about to go no worries” but man, not hearing anything from my recruiter and just sitting on my butt doing nothing all day, it’s making me just so anxious, I just wanna get in already man

You should call and find out, I got my date the day I sworn in. Maybe yours is just delayed because of the whole covid situation, but just give it a try.
My son has had a wonderful recruiter. We live in SC. Always available and she even texts and calls him to check up on stuff. My son leaves for BC in 2 days!!!!!!!! He is super nervous. He’s been preparing for this for years. Been wanting to join the military since he was 8. My stomach is in knots. I can’t wait for him to get thru and graduate. She played a big part in helping him. Also his NJROTC Colonel. They both have been top notch in mentoring and guiding him. Go Coast Guard!!!
I should have specified that ALL of my cards HAVE my cell phone on there. I do not think recruiters have the option anymore to exclude their cell phone. That IS government property, and paid for by the Coast Guard so that recruiters can be as mobile as possible.

Luckily I haven’t had any problems so far with my recruiter, quick to answer and assist. Idk if it has anything to do with having a friend in the coast guard that connected me with his previous recruiter helps, but if you have that chance do it that way.
I haven't heard anything back from my recruiter since before corona started and have been calling and emailing him twice a week and nothing I tried to stop by the office and there was nobody there dose anyone know if they closed recruiting office to have recruiters help with other things?
so my situation im having to IST to coast guard and ive had to call him multiple times but realized that there is only 1 coast guard station in San diego so i figured he was busy unlike Navy ,Marines Army etc there are multiple recruiting offices for them so for me i always call at 9/10 Am. 11AM 12PM good luck
@@militaryjourneymen I thought about doing that when I transfer from AD to reserves. That A-school was just too long. I was an AET up until a couple years ago when I switched over to the reserves as an IS. I work in IT as a civilian though.
