Did big product lauches ever make sense though for professional grade cameras? Sure, for things like mobile phones and stuff, it is all creating a buzz, and nowadays the best buzz is influencer based buzz. But when Canon releases an R1 or whatever, they could do without the buzz if you ask me. Those who would consider buying it will know and don't care about the buzz.
