From Joe Gannon the appliance doctor. He recommended a damp wipe with white vinegar. I used a paper towel to accomplish this. In addition I left the paper towel on the switch overnight. It’s now been 6 weeks of flawless operation. White vinegar a mild acid, cleaned the contacts sufficiently to restore normal operation. cheap and easy to try ! I have a Jeep Grand Cherokee 2012. I was tweaking some settings using JScan and ended up losing the cruise indication coming up on dash. I checked all buttons are getting registered as per this video. Brake switch is also functional. Any clues what might went wrong? Also reset the ECM/ECU but didnt work out. Any help is welcome
great video's, but I have a question, for newer vehicles, does the Security gateway Module need to be by passed first when when using the the Autel Scanners MaxiCOM? or is it as simple as using the regular OBD2 port? thank you.
Thanks man this helped me. My cruise control wasn’t engaging when you mentioned the switch get them filled up with the dirt. Also other stuff like water and food that take my mind so I decided to tap my French push control button multiple times that may be squashed the dirt or whatever that was in between so now it’s working just fine. Thank you so much.
Press and hold for a few seconds (+) and (-) buttons - that is how I reset my cruise control on Dodge Ram 1500 year 2017. It works !!! I have done it while driving - be careful! Try it others way. Good luck.
2013 Chrysler 300s cruise control wasn't working. Not faults, bad fuse, or bad relay. Control switch on brake pedal malfunctioned. Gave the switch arm a couple strikes (push back with finger and let it go) works good.
I have a jeep jk wangler you can turn the cruise control switch on and set your speed, it will set but will only stay on for only about 20 to 30 seconds and kicks off, you can hit resume and it will go back to the speed that was set but eventually kicks off again, any ideas?
Mine was not working I had oil over due I did a reset, after that it didn’t work so I saw a video the guy said press the wide blank button above the On/Off and RES+ button pressed it a few times and tried pressing the On/Off button it started working I still have airbag sign and my cruise is working now 😊
first my vauxhall zafira a's cruise stopped working and repairshop changed the clutch switch dunno why not change cruise switch just a thought afterwards after that i noticed my brake lights didnt work at all and they changed the brake switch and after that my car didnt stop running even without key and lights on so now the brake switch is taken off... dunno where to go from here, any tips appreciated about whats next gotta try to repair it myself or atleast diagnose problem.
My cruise control fails to engage when it is hot outside. The problem is intermittent. However this year the problem did not occur until just today, July 3rd, even though we've had 100 degree days before now. But during the fall, winter, and Spring, the cruise control works reliably. But when it gets warm to hot outside it gets intermittent or doesn't work at all. Have any of you had this problem, and if so how did you repair it? Thank you.
@@jerryheberlie6790 Another person told me that the steering wheel wiring goes through a "clock spring" assembly which allows the wires to turn with the steering wheel. He said that in his case he gave the steering column a whack and it fixed it. My cruise control wouldn't engage the other day.....I gave it a whack and it fixed it. So there are videos on how to replace the clock spring assembly in your steering wheel. Good luck.
I have 2012 Altima 2.5 ... my car's cc works fine when I start the vehicle... but as soon as I hit 100kmph.. the cc set light starts to blink very fast and the cc disengages and does not work after that. Any idea?

My nissan altima 2.5 has cruise control issue. It engages and works fine till the car is below 100kmph. As soon as the car reaches 100kmph speed... the cruise disengages and cruise set light starts to flash or blink fast. The cruise does not engage after this till the car is stopped, shut off and restarted after 10 seconds. No check engine light. Any idea?
How could a "Brake Off" switch keep the cruise control from engaging? I would think the indication on the analyzer would show "Brake On" when it is off because a "Brake On" status would keep the cruise control from engaging.....not a "Brake Off" status.
All of a sudden my darts cruise quit, turns on but when I go to set it , it turns off. Was working when I had tonosss someone and then now it won’t set
I got no lights on my dash I got a 2012 300 I don’t think he brakes have to do anything with cruise control because rarely it’ll turn on and sometimes it won’t maybe you can make another video that’s it’s probably a fuse also
Hey I have a question my cruise doesn’t work on my 2013 Dodge Dart i used compressed air to clean behind and between buttons and seem to work better. Well I bought a new switch for it repacked it and it only works when it wants to it is a 1.4L turbo manual transmission do you have any ideas for me to check
If break lights are working then your break switch is good however cruise control switch (ccs)is seperate next to the break light switch and it could be bad. Hovever, my issue is i can't engage cruise at all by pressing the button onn/off its telling be it coukd either be the button or a fuse. Now i can't find anywhere what fuse controls cruise control. I have come across many videos mentioning a fuse but they don't show which fuse.
Change the brake light switch above the brake pedal. If that doesn’t work also change the cruise control switch which is next to the brake light switch.
Holy Cow! So I laughed so hard about this but decided to try it out. Cruise control was completely not working. Tried to reset by holding +/- for 10 seconds. It didn’t turn on. Then I gave the controls on the steering wheel a fist chop and the dang thing turned on! I took it out on the highway and it worked perfectly. So thank you.
