I got it The "I love you" level is a form of art Of course the keys are right there, you're not a prisoner in your own home: you just have to decide to leave your abuser behind Or I'm reading too much into that

In the last level, the creator probably tried to link the keys to the boom-booms, but instead just put them together on the same tile.

These kind of levels stay uncleared not because it's hard to beat them but because noone has the patience to figure this crap out

I'm glad Ryu is making a point to boo and like levels. He used to have a problem of praising or trashing a level verbally and doing nothing.

11:48 - 14:44 had a lot of potential!! i think if he calmed down with the trolls that pertained to the actual level (the hidden block on the vine [keep the fake dev exit]) and cleaned up his cheese, he'd be a good level creator.

First level went from "not so bad' to "OH, So it's this kind of level" so fast.

If the song doesn't end with Ryu slaying on the guitar I'm gonna be sad

For some reason watching Ryu makes me feel comfortable and at home. I feel all cozy and safe and secure.

I think the reason why the shell isn't off screened in the third level has to do with it being on a snake (or on the seesaw, depending on what the game identifies as the ground). Whatever it is, it must be Global ground. Stuff on global ground don't get off screened, as opposed to non global ground, on which stuff get off screened. It works with pows, p-switches, even enemies I think. Fun fact, Builder Mario's boxes are global ground : put a pow on it, go anywhere (except a door or a pipe) and the pow's gonna stay there. Pretty neat

I swear I watch this each day to hear Ryu's wife sing, and hear the next line of the 12 days of Ryu. Warning: there are a lot more than 2 kaizo blocks in the first level.

I can explain the off-screen thing. Snake blocks have permanency in the same way note blocks and tracks do (so things on tracks/snake blocks will keep existing even when you leave - that's how most continuous music levels are made) The reason jumping made the snake move was because there was a see-saw underneath - you start by walking on the see-saw instead of the snake block, and only jumping makes you finally step on the snake, which activates it.

That is called “Global Ground” it allows anything to be still spawned. No matter how far away you are.

2 things. 1.) I can say with 100% certainty after watching pretty much every single run on your channel, Japanese levels are notorious for soft locks with Kaizo blocks. That's the easiest way to find such a soft lock. 2.) That level where the shell was still going while off screen was using global ground. Things on global ground always stay active. It's a big part of more cool and complex levels. Originally in SMM2, you could use icicles, but Nintendo patched it . It looks like this person found a new way to make global ground.

The beetle kept hitting the switches off screen because it was on top of a snake, which is a global entity and it prevents every entity on top of it from being unloaded

Pretty sure the Buzzy Beetle didn't despawn because of the snake block which acts as global ground (block that don't despawn entities on them when off screen, hence "global")

Every single video I am blown away by the intro. It is genuinely incredible.

The switching goes on because the snake is a global object and everything on it will keep spawned, so the shell keeps going

That first level was like old school early SMM1 troll levels. Lots of garbage with a solution hidden inside.

Last level is funny. I guess designer should have added keys to those mini bosses, but just placed it in level.

When I upload I sit at the goal until time is almost up so there’s no hint to how hard it is.

The big beetle on the snake block doesn't despawn because on certain blocks items don't despawn. Just saying for anyone who didn't get it. (ryu) lol

Ryu, you gotta play the 'good' troll levels. The ones from Carl and Simp and Defender and SteveO. There's some classics that will blow your mind and the trolls are high brow and not stupid softlocks or sniper thwomps or fish but ones that will have you questioning everything.

Anyone else think that when smb2 mario lifts a cloud...the cloud looks in pain? Or shocked about his demise at least?

For the first level, I assume the intended way is to get to the right, activate the hidden blocks, then cycle through the red coins subworld, then go through the blue pipe and land on the hidden blocks, win.

I don’t agree with booing levels for being troll levels that are intended to be troll levels and tell you that they’re troll levels lol
