you're coping lmao. Kazuya's HS is undisputedly better. Your argument was the oki situation is better? KAzuya's HS is a true vortex, a wake up situtation doesn't matter when the opponent wakes up hours after Kazuya's HS, while kazuya is long recovered and waiting to apply another vortex. You go into all these oki situations with ifferent options and routes. But we're still doing numerous things to try and replicate the oki situation kazuya can get. There's no thiking about it. kaz gives a true vortex, beefy damage. Better vortex due to having a better mixup and can somewhat nichely get the wall for 68+ damage.
kazuya has better range, better oki and reliably wallsplats when near the wall for a full combo. When he's in heat all of that enhances and he can also floor break. Also Devil Jin has no scary mids to compliment his "strong" hellsweep like kazuya and reina does
so true, dvj was always the character with the best hellsweep, he needs it cuz he has no other good lows other than db2. now its easily the weakest out of the mishimas (even reina has her HW mixup after). praying for a buff... of any kind lol 🙏🙏🙏
@@mfbandit7930 which requires top execution, has barely decent range, is punishable and a launch against Paul, and barely does decent damage for a really hard combo with ws3 tech
While i do agree that theres no doubt that DJ is the weakest mishima rn, its not like you dont have threatening mids to mix hellsweep with, which sure doesnt do much damage but is still a two way launching mix both of which u can set up oki after to compensate for mediocre damage. And yeah its unfortunate but you gotta be able to to iws2 if u want to get good mileage out of your 50/50. Same happens with kazuya if your opponent knows how to option select ff3/cd41
The hellsweep in not nearly as good as kaz. Its not worth losing all oki for 10 extra points of damage. Especially with his weak mids and terrible demons paw
I think Devil Jin's hellsweep is better than Kazuya's in two aspects: 1. it does more damage, 2. it carries the opponent to the wall although no wall combo And it is worse than Kazuya's in two aspects: 1. no potential wall splat into a full wall combo, 2. no oki Yes, Devil Jin can replicate Kazuya's hellsweep oki by sacrificing some damage, but this isn't optimal Devil Jin. No matter how good the setup, his 50/50 just isn't as strong as Kazuya's. Devil Jin doesn't have an i20 mid launcher that's safe on block, so his mid option for a true 50/50 with the hellsweep will either be iws2 which takes high execution and isn't safe on block, or demon's paw which is objectively the worst demon's paw in Tekken 8 and arguably the worst it has ever been in the Tekken series. When we're talking about the move only, yeah I can understand why people think Devil Jin has a better hellsweep. But when we take other moves of the characters into consideration we can't just blindly state Devil Jin has the best hellsweep in the game. This all changes when Kazuya has heat activated though, then Kazuya's hellsweep becomes best of all Mishimas no matter what. And while Devil Jin is "easier" to play for casuals, he is definitely harder for pro players or even just high level players because he just lacks solid pokes and they won't fall for his BS gimmicks as often. Not to mention his 50/50 is high risk low reward compared to not only other Mishimas, but also the rest of the cast.
You're right, for the wrong reasons, but the overall point you've made is fine. The reason it is the best move in the game (like it was in T7) is simple: Unseeable launching low, that gives the wall and potentially 60 damage with heat extension, on a character with excellent poking and punishment, his mental stack is unbelievably high due to constant fear of being launched without counterplay. Laser scraper mental frames on hit also make hellsweep even scarier.
