@supernoodles908
@supernoodles908 3 года назад
I depends what you're doing/sport eg running long distance. You don't want to be unbalanced due to uneven loading in the joint causeing pinch damage. It really depends what you're doing. Train for what you do and if you do is unbalanced then train unbalanced imo
@mandy7674
@mandy7674 3 года назад
@@supernoodles908 Yeh ..I imagine high level athletes who are a part of those kinds of sports would have to focus on maintaining a good level of balance to perform optimally. Like I suggested in my comment... it's probably not a natural state, they'd have to consistently work at creating the balance.
@gileee
@gileee 3 года назад
@@supernoodles908 You're still putting a lot more focus on the bottom half of your body and your lungs. Big arms and back would be a disadvantage right, due to having more weight to carry around. I would like to add something to this conversation. I have cerebral palsy that affects the left side of my body, so basically my left arm and left leg naturally want to turn inward. It makes it hard for supinated grips and stuff. But anyway, I find during my weight training that my body knows my left side struggles more than my right, and so it doesn't matter if its building my chest or my biceps, my left side struggles more on the lifts but gets bigger noticeably faster than my right. And my right, I can do the workout and feel like a boss on my right side but it never grows as fast as my left. It kinda goes to show nature knows how to compensate and adapt to your needs.

I wonder is it possible to have such a strong grip with your thumb and finger that the other guy can't slip out? Did you see Khaled (Awa) holding on to the big Indian armwreslter while he was trying to slip and totally couldn't? And in Larry's new grip video Khaled is pronating a sledgehammer and lifting plates with his wrists like it's nothing! Crazy stuff

A true student of the sport. For ever exploring. "No Limits" : never was an appellation more accurate. Thanks Tom&Juji for making this happen. Cudos from Austria

0:50 Is this an actual biological response of the body which starts prioritizing 1 limb over the other or is it just due to the fact that one arm gets fed a ton of volume and intensity and the other gets nothing? It'd be interesting to test that out, there's not a lot of empirical data on the hypertrophy benefits of unilateral training when it comes to applying the Way of the Giant Pumpkin, outside of the ones we already know (joint angle specificity, better mind muscle connection etc...)
