She had no medical records (therapist records don’t count because she is the one feeding the information) and no pictures of blood, etc. if she had been raped with a bottle and had cuts on her feet from broken glass, the blood would be enormous, her doctor would have had to report it, and she wouldn’t have been able to walk just fine at the airport because she most likely would have had to get some pieces pulled out.

That trial wasn’t between Depp and Heard, he sued the newspaper. She was just a witness. A jury did not decide the UK verdict, a judge did (and a highly biased judge at that.) In the US it’s notoriously hard to win a defamation trial _especially_ if the person suing is a public figure. The jurors in the US trial listened to 6 weeks of testimony and ruled in Depp’s favor. That is almost unheard of. She _admitted_ to hitting him. She told him to go public because no one would believe him. She tried to ruin his life (which btw, is actual “malice.” Something that must be proven to win a defamation case.) “Sloppy arguments?” Please.🙄

@@princessadora Just to add my voice to the discussions on BPD, I've had multiple female friends who have been diagnosed with BPD. They are strong, badass, fierce, intelligent women, and they are not like Amber Heard. Amber Heard is abusive because she is abusive, NOT because she may have BPD. My friends can flip out if the situation exceeds their coping strategies (like we all can), and may use angry and hurtful language when it happens. I've witnessed this with two of them, and am aware of it with a third (and she confirmed it). I've been friends with *SIX* women with BPD, and I have not seen this behaviour in all of them. Even when I have, the situation has to be quite bad for them to lose it. One of the two I've seen, I'll call her Lily - she's really badly affected by it. I was a witness to Lily lashing out at three people - a close friend, her then-boyfriend, and finally myself, and I was in constant communication with her throughout, so I got a pretty good overview of her thought processes. And I mean lashing out with words, not physically. With Lily, she's genuinely remorseful if she lashes out at the wrong person and she does whatever she can to make it right, even if it doesn't personally benefit her. She also tries her hardest to not allow it to happen again. She's very much aware that her thought processes can be irrational. All of them that I know personally are like this, in the sense that they can get really frustrated with themselves for losing their temper because they work so hard to avoid it. They hate it when they hurt people. I acknowledge that my experience might be a bit different because the women I know were already diagnosed and are very self-aware. However, Amber's behaviour is not that typical of women with BPD, and I say that as somebody who has been friends with 6 of them. There are similarities, but Amber has more going on and seems not to have been treated at this point. The one I mentioned who is badly affected - Lily - she's probably the closest to Amber. Note: She's still not as bad. She can be a real bully when she feels threatened or unsafe, and she's great at going after somebody's sore spots. I've never seen her be physically violent, but I think there is a possibility of that because she's so self-destructive. Even if she was in a relationship with an abuser (which she has been), she absolutely could attack them, even if she was putting herself in danger by doing so. I can't see any of the other BPD sufferers I know doing that, they'd be too terrified and would be more likely to run and hide, or reach out to a friend for support. Amber is extremely prideful, which is a major problem for her. So, Lily is the closest and she is the only one I know who is affected that severely. I also have to note that Lily was also diagnosed with antisocial personality disorder, years after her BPD diagnosis. Whether that is an accurate diagnosis or not I don't know, but it does suggest that in terms of Lily's mental health, the picture is more complex than BPD by itself. Women with BPD are at tremendous risk of getting into relationships with abusers, due to their childhood trauma. We should never, never, EVER assume somebody diagnosed with BPD is lying about abuse. Ever. Ever. It's incredibly common for them to be victims of IPV. Using Amber's false accusations to dismiss others with BPD who say they've been abused would be the worst thing we could possibly do.

I watched the whole thing, she's a very troubled person but she was an a-hole throughout and what really got me was the smirks and pleasure she seemed to take when he would relay the worst bits of abuse... Just made me think of Ted Bundy if you've ever seen him during his trial. The best thing she could do is go to ground, get some mental health help and make some changes and focus on her daughter (I worry about that child) then perhaps, she could come back and talk about that. She's going to appeal but I think that's a mistake - she was so clearly lying.

On the stand, Amber stated that she HAD given her lawyers other photos, ones that better documented the abuse she received (either more photos of incidents we saw, or photos of incidents that weren't currently documented; maybe both?) & she didn't know why her lawyers hadn't submitted them. My first thought was that the alleged unsubmitted photos were even MORE obviously doctored, but that's just a guess. I had the feeling throughout the trial they wanted to stay as low key as possible. I hope that this case brings good awareness to personality disorders rather than bad, like people want to learn more. People keep getting her diagnosis wrong and I'm starting to feel like it's on purpose. Amber is an example of untreated BPD who is probably just not a nice person on top of it. The people with BPD who are in treatment that I know are some of the kindest and most empathetic. I think it all comes down to whether or not you want help. I think Amber is too far gone to improve without some big intervention happening.
