Shortly after Anakin wiped out the Separatist leaders on Mustafar, we see him shed a tear.. but why?
Well thankfully, we have an explanation in both the Novelization of Revenge of the Sith and the Legends novel "The Rise and Fall Of Darth Vader"

He shed a tear(s) because he was conscious of his actions and how he has destroyed so much "for the greater good". Anything else and you're just reading too much from it.

@@VadersOrder And yet the novelization got it wrong. These are movies first before they became novels, and then they're written by a third party author, not the creator himself. In other words, what is portrayed in the movie is not what is described in the novel.

He cried because he had memories of his mother, Qui-Gon's death, Master Windu death (even he had hatred since he was a child), not having friends his own age, his student leaving beforeshe had a chance to be a Jedi Knight, the younglings being murdered especially the one who called him master even though he wanted to be a master but was denied to & the loss of his arm.
