Why Did Furiosa FLOP?? 

The actual Hollywood problem is four private equity firms controlling the whole thing and execs thinking they're more creative than writers. Political projection from audiences doesn't help. You get actual visionaries like Miller caught under the wheels of monopolies, overpowered pencil pushers and ideologues and it all falls apart.

Nobody has any money to go to the theaters. There are no movies that are doing well because of this well-known fact. This is a great movie and anybody saying otherwise wouldn't know a good movie if their life depended on it!

I didn’t see it cuz I got bills and a mortgage to pay. I’m less willing to spend upwards of 25+ dollars per ticket to sit in a theatre when I can just wait 2 months and watch it at home for free. If I don’t like it at least I just wasted my time, and not my time and money.

I don't think you can escape political messaging when there are only two parties. It's not possible to make a movie without a movie leaning in one way or the other. Folks pretending the _left_ are forcing them to watch crap or the _right_ is doing the same thing, are kinda blowing smoke up their own asses. Getting fans excited that *their* kind of movie is being made is just another advertising tactic.

I enjoyed the hell outta this movie and im very anti woke/ girl boss. Its really too bad because if there was any hope of a final gibson mad max movie, this all but extinguished that hope. Sigh. I love this universe SO much. Hope and glory is pretty damn good.

I think this preoccupation with “woke” cinema derails a bit of your point, especially when you admit that there is a way in which good characters are written. Trash be trash, woke doesn’t necessarily play into it. At least in my mind. I’m still subbing, but try not to clickbait a video too hard haha

Im not watching it cause despite furiosa being not a mary sue it begun the trend of feminist like characters replacing males even in movies titled by that male character. Mad max fury road is a furiosa movie guest starring a non australian mad max played by tom hardy. Now 9 years later instead of making the mad max 4 with mel gibson or a sequel focusing on tom hardy mad max they do a prequel to furiosa without mad max, if it was bad that he became a side character imagine a 5 second cameo. George miller feels like he is a feminist he hated mel gibson like the rest of hollywood so he wanted to replace the actor and make furiosa the main focus of the franchise.

This is probably the weakest fucking take I've seen thus far on this movie.... wow. "Woke" isn't killing cinema... Skyrocketing prices and streaming are. There's like 6 times the amount of entertainment premiering almost weekly on streaming in the form of binge-worthy television, and straight to streaming flicks that do reasonably well. Coupled with the fact that most movies NOW go to streaming after 4 to 6 weeks, and you have a recipe for change. Most people would rather just wait the 4 to 6 weeks to watch it on Amazon, Hulu, Max, or Netflix than pay $40 for a date, and $100 with a family.

I haven't watched Furiosa yet, but the combination of an unnecessary prequel and how cartoonish the CGI looked in the trailers has kept me away.

Honestly I didn't really care for Fury Road and I thought it was the weakest of the Mad Max films. I liked the action scenes but to me the original trilogy with Mel Gibson are still the best in the series.

I just watched the movie and I can tell you why just from the first chase sequence. So get this a woman riding on a horse catches up with a motorcycle shots em off takes it gets lectured by another woman before heads out shoots another biker taking there gas tank slowly replacing….. do you see a problem here for a chase sequence.
