Truly a lovely watch and beautiful wrist companion. Me, I have a first series 915 (V serial) which had the display case back. It's the sixth Panerai that I've owned, and my favourite so far. The sandwich dirty dial contrasts so exquisitely against the sublime polished steel Bettarini case.
Man, I just got my PAM915 and I have a box full of Rolexes from oyster perpetual to day date 40, I just cannot take this panerai off my wrist, me like yourself am an active person and I wanted the 300m, sandwich, hand wound luminor, I will be buying another Panerai for sure
I started by taking a chance with an older PAM now I have three. My favorite brand by far and mine are all very accurate and reliable I prefer the 6497s myself. Great pieces.
Panerai has always been on my mind, to me it is just a very cool, elegant, Italian esthetic. As a brand it may not be at best right now but nevertheless cool watch. It fits you well Chris!
Nice vid. I never considered Panerai. Always thought they were far too big (i stay under 39mm usually and my IWC Mark XVI was a big as I wanted to go)...but... I tried on a Pam 00560... and now I'm totally obsessed... these watches must be tried on in person. You suddenly realise what the fuss is about. I love the clean dial with no moving hands... the hand winding felt superb... the caseback on the one I tried on was sapphire which is cool. Is the 914 a solid case back? I think they did make 1000 ones with an exhibition case back, but they're probably hard to find.. anyway, I would be happy with a solid back.... I'm slowly saving for a 560, or a 914, or even older 112, but they are thicker.... I never thought I would be converted, but I get it now...its such a unique streampunk look, and it just suits being larger.... the lume must be stunning too.. I don't think I'll sell my IWC to speed up the purchase.... I'll have to wait, as I think having both watches is what I'd like... ideally
Hi. Great review. For reference, can I please ask: what is your wrist's size? I am considering buying the Pam1313, which has same dimensions as yours. I have 17.6cm, 6.9 inch wrists, and am 6 foot three, and I wonder if it will be to large. Thanks. In the shop it looks great ... but out and about I am not so sure.
I was attracted to panerai is its simplicity dial and clear legibility, have to admit can't afford a genuine one so settled for a AAA grade clone. I known am going to get alot stick from panerai owners but they are really expensive for me. Sorry
Man, no need to apologize to anyone. Just do your best and work hard in life. I’m sure one day you’ll be able to get the real thing. Until then, just enjoy what you have.
I notice you wear the watch on your right hand. Im right handed and wear watches on my right hand. How did you find it with the crown guard on your forearm? Nit sure i want to go for a left handed Panerai. Id be very interested in your views...
Do you find the strap comfy? I got mine and for some reason the strap starts to hurt after a couple hours. Maybe the leather hasn’t broken in yet or I’m wearing it too tight
I had a watchmaker test it and it came back with -2 +4 sec per day, keep in mind that it is a twin barrel power reserve this helps allot with accuracy. The P5000 is a robust and very reliable movement, one of the main reasons I went with the Panerai 914
@@WristwatchDiaries do you know the first release date of this particular model? I read 2020 but not sure. I think yours is a newer release with 300m water resistance
