His plays are a bit formulaic but they are still great, his style in his plays are wonderful though. His movies, I would say are a lot better than his plays because he is such a storyteller. In his plays, one is Madea there is a sidekick always to Madea and then there is a lot of trouble around that Madea has to wade through and good old solid motherly advice and wisdom along with the Gospel message always prevails. His movies are much more to his strength as a storyteller.
