You are in a different league when considering $1000 for a toy train. I thought I was a bit wild when an engine was $99 that I sprung for. Yes it’s nice but gotta get myself back to earth when considering future toy purchases. Too many other interests to spend big money on my toy trains. Interesting on what others acquire for their hobby. Thank you for sharing.
I do agree with what you said. The price is high for a “toy”. But the end of the day I still see them as toys. My other hobbies are calling so money has to be redirected to other efforts. No problem thanks for watching.
I enjoy your honesty and no fluff videos. I missed out on most of the same engines you did. However I do have two vision line GG1s. Fantastic engine. I 'll let you know if I decide to part with one.
Both of us are in the same boat. I too mostly a collector with a small layout. Totally agree that Lionel reissue the vision line NYC Hudson. It's been over ten years since it came out. Like you regret not getting one when it came out! Like your comments, also you SAY IT AS IT IS. That I like !
Enjoyed the video, Zac! At this stage of the game, I do not really have any regrets associated with not having purchased particular trains. But with that said, lol, I can conjure up a few I would like to have in my collection. I'd like to have a Legacy PRR GG1, a Legacy NYC Niagara, a Legacy C&O Alleghany and a Legacy UP Challenger. They are all out there, but it is more a matter now of not wanting to spend the money for something that I cannot run on my relatively small railroad with its sharp curves. I operate all of my trains and if they won't run on the railroad, I really do not want to purchase them. I will say though that I really struggled to convince myself that I did not want to purchase one of the newly cataloged Dreyfuss J3 Hudsons, lol. I do enjoy your sense of humor. Bill B.
Thanks Bill. I appreciate your comments. Your layout is starting to really look great. That’s a good list of engines you would like to have. Hope to see you at York again in October. I’m planning on being there.
@@Jokers_Trains Great Zac! As of now I too am planning on making York in October. Thanks for the comments on the layout, but if you could see it now, we’ll it is a mess. A lot of work going on right now and things look pretty torn up. But then that is progress in motion, lol.
Nice video Zac!!! I like the topic. Man I have a list a mile long of things I should have ordered but didn't. One day we will all find those pieces we regret not getting. I know a Y6b that will fix one of the items on yours 👍.
I could have really made this video a lot longer. Maybe I will do another with the other manufacturers. Yeah my Y6B will likely be better than the legacy one 😏
Your collection is amazing. I’ve seen your videos many times I don’t collect at that level I do collect Lionel trains I collect starter sets that’s where I’m at I just don’t hav the space to run those trains
I bought the full set of those 2016 release 21" Daylight cars along with my 2016 Legacy 4449. I ended up selling them and purchasing a set of the 2005 18" Aluminum Daylight cars. MUCH better cars and, ironically, the colors match the 2016 engine much better. The 21" ones were very cheaply made and had a number of issues with derailing, paint peeling, name plates peeling off, and general QC issues. There wasn't a single car in my set of 7 that didn't have an issue. You didn't miss much, I promise you!
Y6B for sure is on my list of want to get. I was just getting into the hobby around when you could still get one after they shipped and I wasn't at the point of getting engines that expensive...yet. Oh have times changed in my collecting. I tend to stick to the highest end and look for quality over quantity so far in my collecting. Im surprised you didn't mention an AC-9, unless you have one and I just am not aware of it.
I agree. As RBP as called me top shelf steam before. I love the high end stuff. The AC-9 almost was added to this list. But I’m reality this video could have been an hour long 😆😆😆. So I tried to keep it under control. Maybe I will do another video with the others brands items
@@Jokers_Trains I’m a Lionel only guy as well and I only have steam so high end is pretty much all there is when you’ve pigeon hold yourself to those standards. I also tend toward the articulated steam engines which really doesnt help with keeping costs down. I’d like to get 3rd rail Sunset steam someday, but I don’t think I’m there yet. I also like smoke features beyond just smoke stack for my money. I think you would really enjoy a VL Niagara more than you might think. They have great “playability” as I like to say.
I would love a Y6B. I have Pennsy sharks with superbass B unit. And the GWB MTH Loco. That was an awesome list Joker. You are a character none the less. I like your sarcasm it makes me laugh! Take care bro! Go Gators!
I came into the hobby late, and missed out on several engines and rolling stock items. Lately, my new Lionel engine purchases have had quality issues. Not good. The one engine that I still would love to have (or see released again) is the Lionel Legacy Pere Marquette 1225. I have the LionChief version and it's just not the same. The secondary market pricing on this is abolutely STUPID!!!! I was able to find the Delaware and Hudson Shark units after finding out the real engines are currently in storage in the town where I was born. I would also LOVE TO HAVE THE GM AEROTRAIN, however, since it was an MTH, and my layout is Legacy Controlled, it would have to be a shelf queen. I keep hoping that Lionel would buy the tooling for this train, but I hear it wasn't very popular. Most of the previously released rolling stock items I've wanted, I've been able to find. There are only about 5 or so I'm still searching for. Also, don't change a thing about your channel format. It's unique from many of the other channels, and that's why I'm subscribed. Having a bit of humor, sarcasm, and wit make it much more entertaining than other "vanilla" channels. Also, the Allegheny #1601 is actually at the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, Michigan. It's amazing to see it in person!!!!
The 1225 would be a great engine to release again. I appreciate the comments about the channel and thanks for being a subscriber. I really need to get some of these Museums around the country, feel like im missing out a little. Thanks for watching.
Sharks for life! I think the only engine I regret not preordering is the BNSF Visionline GS which I never saw anywhere for sale. Also do you have any Dairy Queen codes?
Great video, Henning's trains in Lansdale pa. Has the George Bush funeral train for 1,200 in case you're interested. Keep up the great work and thanks for sharing.
Does the N+W y6B have the controls on top yet? P.S. I have an Allegheny. I check it out, has some marks on the bottom from bad packaging. Then make you an offer. I don't like the whistle 😊
Hey buddie l got a brand New Lionel Legecy Acela from 2022 I have 2 sets 1 iam keeping and 1 for sale or trade equal value if you know anyone 😉 lam a big fan 🎉
