By the way, not all the whites were killed. The Polish battalion that Napoleon had sent to help squash the rebellion but turned on him and started fighting alongside the Haitians were not harmed. They became Haitian citizens and bred into the population. You can find blue eyes Haitians, descendants of those Polish soldiers in an area in Haiti called Casal.

and the part you are not telling is Dessalines was brought to the French West Indian colony of Saint-Domingue (Haiti) as a slave. He worked as a field hand for a BLACK MASTER until 1791,

False…. His slave master DUCLOS was a WHITE MAN who he worked for 30 years and the “black master” was actually a mixed race man who Dessalines had a good relationship with and only spent a tiny amount of time under his service….. The original slave master DUCLOS was not a black man…… he was a white Frenchmen and one of the most brutal in the colony…. get your facts straight before stinking up my comment section with your falsified information….. also, mixed race men were not black men…. Dessalines remembered the FACTS that the death rate among Haitian slaves was the highest in the Americas, that the French considered it more profitable to work their slaves to death and replace them with fresh slaves from Africa, that the average life expectancy for a newly arrived slave was 5 years, that around 1 million slaves had died in the 100 years of black slavery in the colony, that punishment for slaves for various "offences" were extremely brutal, that the French had abolished slavery then reimposed it, that the French had dealt dishonorably with the leader of the revolution Toussaint L'Ouverture and tricked him then captured him and took him to France and cast him in prison.

@lulu0724
@lulu0724 10 месяцев назад
@@beatrice123fulThere's a difference between a Nation and a Country. The Dominicans have been a Nation since before the current Haitians arrived to the island as slaves for France starting in 1659. There're many evidence of this even a letter from the King of Spaing Phillips IV from 1626 thanking "dominicans" for their fight against Dutch pirates. Dominicans are the mixture of the tainos, spaninard and West African slaves brought to the island from the 16th century. Haitians are not tainos, you can start kicking and screaming all you want but it's not going to change your genetics. The current Haitians were brought to the island 117 years after the pure tainos went extinct, the only tainos left were those mixed with spaniard and the Dominicans African ancestors mostly known as the maroons. This is the reason why haitians have a 0.0% taino DNA. The only haitians who have a drop of taino in them are the ones who have Dominican ancestry reason why spaninard always come up in their test such as countries in Africa such as Gambia where haitian slaves were not brought from. The only thing haitians know of the tainos is from the dominicans/spaniard and this is why they're never able to state their sources for their info. Also copying, stealing and culturally appropriating a nation while hurting their descendants won't do a country no good especially when the tainos were great believers of Zemi, they're clearly not happy. Please educate yourself and stop claiming the Dominican history as yours, unless you're ready to admit you have Dominican dna running throught your veins.
@PurplePillRiches
@PurplePillRiches 9 месяцев назад
@@lulu0724hate to hurt your feelings but they're Haitian Tainos and Haitians with Taino blood. Secondly, Most Dominicans don't have Taino blood,and the ones that do have an extremely small amount. Dominican President Raphael Trujillo, who is of Haitian descent, purposely brought in Europeans,and Arabs to the Dominican Republic to promote mixing to lightened up the Dominicans complexion by design. It's strange because Trujillo and Stenio Vincent(Haitian President) hug each other and both administration was cool while the massacre of Haitians was going on. Trujillo was buried in France not DR or Spain. Both presidents, Trujillo and Stenio Vincent was put in power under US invasion of both sides of the island to keep Haitiens and Dominicans divided. The Haitien Government today supports the Dominican Republic Government as well. Both Government are led by Jews, Lebanese,and Syrians whom are related to each other yet playing both countries on the island. Dominican Republic president Luis Abinader and his wife are Lebanese not Dominicans, checked their background. Gilbert Bigio, Haitien Jewish billionaire supports Luis Abinader and mentor him. Bigio responsible for the Fuel and Construction material companies in Dominican Republic, Haiti, Jamaica and St.martin.

I beg to differ that Jean Jacques Dessalines, the Great, wasn't fitted to be our Emperor. But rather he was supposed to be a general of the army... Well, the irony is that all those leaders who came after him were seeking out to emulate him: Henry christophe(king), Alexendre petion, Jean pierre boyer,... Even Toussaint Louverture(prince) during his reign was never acted without consulting JJ. Dessalines... The only thing I will say of king Henry christophe in that regard, is that he was a man with a grand EXECUTION... While the Emperor, JJ.D, was indeed a GRAND MASTER OF PLANNING(VISIONARY)...put those two guys together HAYTI(Ayiti) would have been at her prime...Sadly.

Nice work but H.I.M Jak 1st was absolutely the right man to stomp on Imperial Colonialism heads. Yes as a soldier Dessalines was nothing to fuck with. Only Toussaint was on his level but Toussaint betrayed the code, which was abolish slavery, reestablish the H'Ayitiene Empire (NOT THE 1st Black Republic), and continue to drive on to abolishing slavery world wide and complete severance from Europe and her ways. Simple or complex diplomacy wasn't going to accomplish that. Keep in there were 3 European powers in Haiti. Governor General Toussaint had driven 2 out and decided he'd keep the Island for France, going against code and against many of his generals advices, especially Dessalines. So the power, the Force left him was passed down to General Dessalines. Toussaint's failure to heed to the advice led to his entrapment and arrest and extradition.
