Why Did Jesus Die On Good Friday? Why, at every Sunday Mass, do Catholics confess that Jesus came down from Heaven “for us men and for our salvation?” Dr. Michael Patrick Barber provides a thorough, deeply Catholic and deeply biblical answer in this Bible Study.

It is so sad that so many Catholics (a majority of Novus ordo attending Catholics who I have encountered in my life), are not properly catechized. As a convert from the Protestant religion, knowing the true faith is so important to me, to learn, to understand and to pass it on to my children. We have such an abundance of traditional orthodox teaching available to us as Catholics, 2000 years worth. Anyone who truly wants to see God and to know his revealed faith thoroughly can. Once we are no longer children it is our responsibility. I often wonder if it is the design of the modernist in the Novus ordo to poorly catechized the faithful because that makes them easier to manipulate and more likely to fall away from the faith. One addition I think was needed when the professor talks about his conversation with that young woman at University is yes, Jesus wants us to come to him exactly as we are, right now! But he doesn’t ever leave us in that state. The follow up to all the sinners that Christ encountered was “go and sin no more.” We must except God‘s initial grace which is fully received undeserved on our part through baptism. After that we must cooperate with God‘s grace on earth through the sacraments and through living a proper life as Christ has taught through his church. When we stumble we must confess our sins, truly repent and make an effort to never offend God again. We must be working towards holiness. No exceptions. You cannot be practicing contraception, maybe had an unrepentant abortion (which means you’ve automatically been excommunicated from the church already and need more than just a confession to be back in God’s Church), vote for politicians who promote and advocate/fund abortion/sodomy, be divorced and remarried and take communion, be living in a sinful relationship, etc. etc. and think that God‘s grace is just gonna cover you without you having to do anything or change. You aren’t Catholic if you believe any of that. If you disagree with a single Dogma defined by the Catholic Church you are not Catholic. That is the heresy of Protestantism. And sadly it has damned millions of souls. We can see why - because it allows people to think the demonic idea that they don’t have to change because it’s all just about Grace Grace Grace and a bit of mercy! No change or confession necessary. Yes everything we are given is because of God‘s grace, but he demands some thing of us our entire living life, and that is obedience. That is the beauty of the one true revealed religion, it is open and available to all, all who will believe and be obedient to the Word of God.

Luke 18:10-14 [10]'Two men went up to the Temple to pray, one a Pharisee, the other a tax collector. [11]The Pharisee stood there and said this prayer to himself, "I thank you, God, that I am not grasping, unjust, adulterous like everyone else, and particularly that I am not like this tax collector here. [12]I fast twice a week; I pay tithes on all I get." [13]The tax collector stood some distance away, not daring even to raise his eyes to heaven; but he beat his breast and said, "God, be merciful to me, a sinner." [14]This man, I tell you, went home again justified; the other did not. For everyone who raises himself up will be humbled, but anyone who humbles himself will be raised up.'

Around 27:00 it seems the tax collector had alreqdy hears Jesus teachings and was changing his ways before this encounter...he was being purified of his sinful heart ...its not like he was an unrepentant sinner whom Jesus chose to stay at his house ....or does the tax collector change more after Jesus stays with him?

It's not a Catholic teaching. Our Lord Jesus visited the house of Zacheus because he repented and did the reparation required by our Gid the Father in paying back what he had stolen 4times. Faith without work is death. Our Lord will say in the last day, "Well done good and faithful servant...."

16:47 Really? You are now citing Barclay? Charis does not at all ever mean "gift". There is a specific word for gift and charis is not it. Doron is gift (δῶρον). Charis exactly means "cheerfulness". It can be translated "cheerful grace" of God, for example. Noah found cheerful graciousness in the LORD's eyes, for example."into the cheerful graciousness you are being, the ones having been saved" often translated something like "you are saved by grace", but in the Greek text we are not "saved by" charis. We are being into it. "8 For into the cheerful graciousness you are being, the ones having been saved through the persuasion and that not out of you. 9 The gift of God is not out of actions of toiling in order that no one may boast for his own benefit in wishful praying, 10 for of him we are a product being acquired in Christ Jesus, superimposed good actions, into which good actions God pre-adjusts (you) in order that in them you may walk about." [The Rooted Word translation Precise English Edition] Also, it is unclear whether it is charis or persuasion that is the gift of God. Charis is not being given in this passage. Rather YOU are being given into charis. However, the two inextricably bound terms are ones having been saved and through the persuasion. And immediately Paul contrasts "it" not being out of you with the gift of God not being out of actions of toiling. So it appears that faith is the gift, not grace. For he argues, in order that no one may boast. So in verse 10 that same faith, which is a gift from God, allows us to accept good actions superimposed on us from God as another kind of gift, which we have been custom fitted to and in which we may walk all about.

If you bear the image of the beast you cannot have salvation. The image of the beast is the violation of the first three commandments. Bearing the image of the beast is also blasphemy of the holy Spirit because blasphemy of the holy spirit is giving your soul to Satan for the material world. The story of the golden calf is about bearing the image of the beast, the reason that you can't understand that story is because one word is deliberately left out and that word is Masekha מסכה which means mask. The golden calf was not a statue it was a mask of a beast, a mask is used to cover your true identity, the first commandment in the Bible forbids this.

I'm sorry but don't you know that these scriptures were put together by One Holy Catholic And APOSTOLIC church under the guidance of the Holy Ghost. And plss do not take everything out of contexts. God himself instituted ark of the covenant. Showing a tangible sense of his presence. Just go through the bible and see the amazing parallel God has made, it will help u to save your soul. MAY GOD BLESS YOU 🙏

And she took of its fruit, and did eat; and she gave to her husband with her, and he did eat. 7 And the eyes of both were enlightened, and they knew that they were naked, divested of the purple(9) robe in which they had been created. Thou shall not lie. Saying Jesus died on an Friday is a great lie . Matthew 28:1 . The Sabbath ends on Saturday and.Jesis resurrected at the end of the Sabbath. Saying Jesus rose on Sunday is a misconception which Catholics need to address or a lie taking them to Hell
