Did those who were baptized through John’s baptism really have their sins forgiven? and were they really regenerated and saved? Or was all that symbolical and only effectual after Jesus’ death and resurrection?
Jesus was baptized because:- 1. He was showing us what we should do. 2. This was God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit all together. 3. He was showing us what was going to happen to him. He was showing himself dying - when he went under the water, buried - when he was under the water and rising again - when he came back up.
Why do Christian always redefine what the book said? The verse told you that heaven opened onto him, and you are here saying that he is heaven. And this verse clearly proves that he is the son of God and not God himself. This verse also proves that Christianity is not a Monotheistic religion. It wouldn't be, if you consider the son of God to be God also.
Its trinity. At first i also though it was a joke but the more i think about it the more it makes sense. Jesus is the son and the one talking to him is the father. They are one as a being "God" but different as a person and role. You believe god can do anything so why not seperate himself as 3 person? When people ask why jesus prays implementing why god prays to himself. In christinity praying is a means of communication and jesus was just communicating to the father which again different person, different role but same being. And if you read the bible with the concept of trinity the you would start to have much more clear understanding about the verses where jesus says how father is greater than he is and when he says he and father are one. Father is greater than son in the context of roles and, father and son are one in context of being.
