Mohammad Aziz used to sing in restaurants, his melodious voice earned him recognition as Rafi's clone Mohammad Aziz is counted among the legendary singers of Hindi cinema. He has lent his voice to films of superstars like Amitabh Bachchan, Anil Kapoor and Sunny Deol. Aziz was a part of the biggest hit films of the 80s. After the demise of famous singer Mohammad Rafi, nostalgia was perhaps one of the biggest factors in the emergence of a whole group of singers. Singers Anwar and Shabbir Kumar were compared as Rafi's clones. But it was Aziz who became the voice of that era. During Rafi's rediscovery in 1970, there was a competition among music directors to sign a good singer. At that time Rafi was suffering from a throat disease, due to which his singing work was limited for some time. This was the time after the 1969 film Aradhana, where Kishore Kumar became a more popular singer. After Rafi's death in 1980, people were looking for an alternative singer like him. In such a situation, Aziz came and spread the magic of his voice in the world of music. Aziz had won the hearts of people with his powerful voice. During this time, film director Manmohan Desai noticed him. After this, he introduced him to Anu Malik and he got a chance to sing in the film Mard, where he showed the magic of his voice and won the hearts of people because of the title track of the film. During his career, he sang songs from superhit films like Tridev, Aadmi Khilona Hai, Chalbaaz. Aziz had won the hearts of people with his powerful voice. Not only did it reflect but also gave a philosophy of life apart from religion which was full of relief. This nostalgia of ours is the reference point due to which we keep getting delighted again and again by listening to his songs even today, and will keep getting delighted throughout this life. It is a pity that the new generation may not be able to understand this reference. But these are the songs that people's cassettes got worn out by playing them so much. These were the songs of Mohammad Aziz sahab which relieved the fatigue of tempo and taxi drivers throughout the day, were companions of truck drivers during their long journeys throughout the night, echoed in the streets and alleys after being played in a melodious manner on decks and stereos and remained on the lips of crores of people.
