At the very least InFamous 1 and 2 need a good remaster. We have ppl online who have remastered it on PC, from 60 FPS, cleaned up graphics, better lighting and shadow, better line of sight. They can do it.
Honestly for infamous second son I would just like a patch that adds some reflections to windows and mirrors. Everything else looks good but the lack of reflections is poor looking.
Bro, Days Gone, every time I play it I can even see Delsin in the game just destroying all those Zombies and drinking some cold ones with Deacon St fucking John.
Delsin was a breath of fresh air imo, during a time where every main was a aloof, angry, moody bald or unhappy character, we got Delsin who was more of a smart ass and energetic who developed to a responsible hero.
Infamous was one of my first PS3 games, and my first where my actions mattered. I loved playing them, and wish they did get sequels, even if I can't play them. Got an xbox now since the PS5 and the scalping issue. Plus, the game has limitless potential for characters. ANYONE, could suddenly become a character if they had the Conduit Gene. Which allows for many people with unique personalities, backstories, and even powers.
Was my second ps3 game, after I got skyrim. So I feel ya. Also, Delsin still has things he needs to finish. The cartels. Celia. Darpa stealing kesslers tech which is 150 years in advance, could throw in mechas.etc. Yeah, SS needs a PS5 patch.
Massive opportunity for a Remastered GOTY bundle containing base game and DLC especially with a PC release. This 11 year old game is still at par with most of the latest ones when comes to graphical presentation.
Because Second Son wasn’t that prominent so the change to Tsushima made sense. Still, remasters of Infamous 1 and 2 would be doing the world a big favor.
That really sucks because Infamous 1&2 were some of my favorite PS3 games and Second Son was an apparent success. So, for them to just cast aside the series like this is a great injustice. But Sony be that way sometimes.
honestly i just want the series ported and/or remastered on pc. at least infamous 2. it was the only one i played but man i loved it. probably my top single player game of all time. but it would be cool to see just one more infamous game from sucker punch. a modern game. taking advantage of all the tech of today. could def see it looking beautiful
if theres a new inFamous game/remastered trilogy, i'll pre order it all today even if its released in 10 years time... and that goes against everything i stand for in gaming hahaha
infamous 3 went stale cause the story was very weak compared to 1 and 2 , that being said i wold like to replay them on pc together with demon souls remake but chances are there never will be a port for them :(
That's cause Sony rushed SS development and axed like 6 months to give it to 1886 The Order. However, the game and character we got were still very good and solid. I love Cole, but Delsin felt like a breath of fresh air, and Paper Trails added alot of exposition that none of the other 2 games did. Celia herself would be the next antagonist and I'd love to see Delsin story end.
I want a new Infamous game badly, but i doubt we will get it because Sucker Punch is the Samurai Ninja dev now. Maybe they make an Infamous game where you play as a feudal era Ninja conduit with shadow powers. 😮
I love infamous Infamous 1 was my favorite game on PS3.I don't know why the hell sony can't at least give us a Infamous 1 and 2 remastered for PS5 are they that stupid
A lot of people got superhero fatigue over the years thanks to dc & marvel pumping out movies, tv shows & games, so it was maybe a good idea to move on to other ideas
I really liked First Light.. Hoping they follow that one up.. Def on my bucket list to play through those others.. Made sure to pick them up.. Ghost solidified being a huge fan of this dev because I’m convinced it’s the best 1st party exclusive
Sony's approach recently with bringing IPs across different mediums has lead to many IPs, that are dear to the fans, taking a back seat. Apparently they are not investing in something that cannot be turned into a tv show/movie/comic/anime. That's also fair as it has known to be the success sauce of many multi billion dollar IPs like star wars and Marvel heck they even did a theme park with Uncharted so you can imagine the vision.
That's a shame, I was hoping that one day Cole McGrath would make a kick ass comeback of a new Infamous Game after being ressurected with a strong bolt of lightning of course!!!
say what you want about Second Son but it was a pretty beautiful looking game that was a lot of fun to play. it's a shame we may not get another Infamous
Sony is on the Live Service Business and any game that doesn't make 10 million plus is considered for them a failure. By the way Infamous Second Son on PS5 via backwards looks absolutely beautiful, it's a shame Sony has lost his way.
I think its a good thing they did... The only problem is that sony dont go back to abandoned franchises... Like a new infamous game for ps6 would be cool.
@baki484 i believe they could also continue off of the good ending cuz in the last scene thunder struck cole's grave. So there are many options to spin this.
Sony has made it clear they want to distance themselves as far from the PS3 era of their games as possible. They will bend over backwards to acknowledge pretty much any other era of their consoles than the PS3. They did the same thing to the Vita as well. They'd rather mothball entire franchises than go through the effort of potentially tarnishing their Prestige Games aesthetic by daring to have anything that runs counter to that narrative. Even for however much of a mess it is, Concord is still trying for that vibe too.
I wish they’d do one more game. The swan song for the franchise. Give us back Cole McGrath and even throw in Delsin as like a team up for some big push against the anti-conduit movement. It’ll be a culmination of all of the different powers acquired over the games as well as some potential new ones. And refine the open world game design (which was Second Sons biggest fault). Oh and bring Zeke back somehow. I’d buy that game instantly. Sony has some great franchises that they could do so much with. Infamous is one of those games that’s only limited by the developers imagination since it’s all about superpowers. Days Gone I think was a good foundation and deserved a sequel. But the biggest opportunity that Sony has is of course a Bloodborne sequel. Plus I’d love to see a new generation of Uncharted (and make Nate and Elena’s daughter the new main character). Sony also needs a fps game to call their own so Resistance would be my choice for that. And not just a remaster but a full new arc in that franchise. As much as I love Sony’s stable of franchises, they have dropped the ball on quantity during the PS5 generation. During the PS3 and PS4 days, it seemed like every few months there was a new exclusive coming out. Sony needs to get back to that.
I love Ghost of Tsushima, but I would not be bothered at all if they decided to make a new inFAMOUS after Ghost of Tsushima 2 before making a third game. Do what Insomniac does, their main focus being Spider-Man (and Wolverine) but taking some time every few years to give us another Ratchet & Clank. But at this point I'd happily take a Remake of InFAMOUS 1 and 2 (and Festival of Blood) for PS5.
Sucker punch is the most complacent studio in Sony's stable. With so much talent they are capable of producing a AAA superhero game alongside GOT 2 but no they choose to produce one game every 7 years.
The best demo I have ever played. I was able to play it for an hour, just enjoying the game. Well at least for the first, and second games, the others were fun, but the first 2 were amazing. (I've had the first 2 games, but once I forgot the information for my account because it was for an old Gmail.)
Infamous walked so Ghost of Tsushima could run. Also a remaster collection of 1&2 not being around is still mind boggling. If you aren’t going to bring the PS3 forward with backwards compatibility then at least bring the games somehow. Not streaming shit.
Imo Infamous 1 was the best, 2 was a solid game and SS is my favorite. In this climate of woke shit i would be scared to see a new Infamous game fall into that, but its crazy to me how InFamous SS still atands high next to (insomniac)Spider Man 1 and 2, and lowkey better story than 2. Imfamous 1 and 2 also gave me vibes that made me feel it was Sonys answer to Xboxs Gears of War series
Sony didn’t kill infamous. Sucker Punch wanted to move on after the second installment, but Sony asked them for 1 more because they needed a console seller

people want Sony to make these games but they refuse to buy by showing support for the game and studio involved. The same people complain that Sony needs to make new IPs because God of War, Uncharted, Infamous, Horizon, Resistance, Last of Us, Killzone are becoming repetitive in every generation.
Sony complains about rising costs but with these Superhero games, they gotta give a huge cut to Marvel. Maybe concentrate on your in-house heroes more and you keep a bigger piece of the pie. Damn shame that you guys have Abigail (Fetch) Cole McGrath and Delsin who are all interesting characters and you're not doing anything with them.
multiplayer a team of only 4 where you create your character and have a choice of 4 different powers after second son you and your few friends escape the prison and try to stop the supers and mobs who are trying to get you and you're friends you take back the city and by saving people and become the hero or take the city by force
The success of PlayStation brand in the earlier days(what made big money for them) is actually the third party during the ps1 and ps2 that released their game only on PlayStation. I bought second son as my first ps4 game. I think the studio just moved on tbh. Personally ghost of tshushima was not for me because am not the biggest fan of assassin creed like games
