I did my research and it wasn't the USA who started the 440hz standard but the Italians and it was later adopted by the USA music industry I think because Rockefeller wanted 440z. Apparently, humans can be more controlled with the 440 hz than the 430hz. You can verify this.

When I tune my acoustic guitar to 432hz, there is definitely a higher perceived sense of physical resonance with the guitar and air. I brought it up to 440hz to match guitar tutorials, but quite frankly the guitar resonates nicer (from what I perceive) at 432hz. Awesome topic ! P.S. Thank you for breaking down the details of mixing/transitioning all those years back. My technics are in storage but you were a pinnacle of teaching me how to mix well! 🍻
Here is one for you to ponder, Ask people if they like the song Imagine by John Lennon and you’ll find that the majority (even if they don’t like John Lennon much) will say oh yeah love that song. That’s in 528kh which is the earths vibration or natures vibration… Logic and other DAW,s you can change the frequency before starting any instruments up and record pretty much what ever you want… also have a look at Cymatics it’s a way to visualise audio frequencies ( loads of RU-vid vids on this) and lastly we are 60-70% water this is why we resonate the way we do with music. Some of us love House, some love Rock or pop etc… to better understand this there is a great book by the Japanese Dr Masaru Emoto called The Hidden Messages In Water. It looks at the molecular structure of water droplets with different types of sound etc, you’ll be blown away. There are videos as well, fascinating.

Once I was interested in 432Hz theory myself and even tried to make some music tuned like that. I was quite qurious trying to understand how the whole tuning practice in music works. But the more you learn, the more you understand that 432Hz does not work as the very best way to tune everything. There's so much information involved, I can't stress in enough: whole history, history of music, history of music instruments, historical tuning, tempered tuning, astronomy and history of the solar system, Earth evolution, physics of sound, vibration and resonance frequencies, physiology, psychoacoustics, world standards, experience of being a musician in a band, common sense. Just imagine, what if we're measuring seconds in a wrong way? Like, whole planet had a different spinning speed back then and now our BPM counter feels different, for example. So would you stop using your BPM counter in a DJ software in order to use an alternative better system that is synchronized with The Universe? I hope not. I've read quite some info in Russian, but there's alot info in English as well. For Example, Adam Neely has some decent videos on 432Hz. As for me, just making good music itself is more vital, than choosing a proper tuning for it.
What do you think about audio in general being in 432hz? The news for example. Do you think people would have more discernment hearing it that way? Without the undertones of anxiety and aggression.
But how can music be changed from 432hz to 440hz when both of those frequencies along with every frequency between 20hz and 20,000hz is in the music we listen to aswell ?
Instrument tuning was standardised against the note A4, the A above middle C. It used to be 432 which is flatter, but was changed to 440. This is so all instruments play the same note frequencies and are all in tune with one another.

If you would like to consult the historical sources about the history of tuning, the go-to books are "The History of Musical Pitch" (1880) by Alexander John Ellis (it is available online) and "History of Performing Pitch: The Story of "A"" (2002) by Bruce Haynes. It turns out that contrary to what is often said, 432 Hz has never been a widely accepted tuning. Before the official standard became 440 Hz (which, by the way, was first established in 1917 in the USA), the most popular tuning was French diapason normal (435 Hz) established in 1859. Unfortunately, one can find a lot of false information about music in the internet nowadays. The 432 Hz conspiracy theory is quite a recent invention. Everything about it is made up from scratch in the last four decades.

Yes this is a fact (frequency change) that Ive known for a while and, yes there are deceptive people/ organisations in power that do not want us to be happy and content, e.g. WEF. Thank you, very good subject here I believe music can heal and I also believe it can kill if programmed with certain frequencies. Stuff of science fiction? I'm not so sure. All these things you hear about People suddenly getting Sick in the head by hearing certain frequencies. I remember on the science channel where they had a flat speaker with sand on it, and different frequencies would cause the sand to create different designs and shapes. It was amazing, and I think the Buddhists use Om, in a certain tone and frequency. But yeah, I always thought if they want to program us, it would be with frequencies that the conscience mind cannot hear it would have to be programmed to our unconscious mind. and the tool to do it it would be our phones and music

Well, if you get the right frequency at the right volume, you Will make someone with the according mass vibrate. Low frequencies are known to cause that effect. Then again, high frequencies, shatter glass, for instants. So yes, I believe that the effect on our mental, psychological, emotional and physiologycal equilibrium by sound frequencies is real. Think about it, have you noticed the type of background sound you are exposed to on a long flight? It's a full sound wave used for calming purposes. If you take that same sound wave and subtract frequencies (if you have a synth just mess with it, use synozoidal wave, no FX, just filters, use your phones, not the speakers), just as if you were sweeping a track with an EQ, looking for annoying frequencies. They are annoying for a reason, that's why we try to get rid of them when we mix during production. Also, the right frequency Will damage your hearing capacity and it doesn't need to reach the SPL. Tell you what, I get tired of texting, I'll just start recording my thoughts on this and post them as well. Keep digging, they do exist and they like to keep us on a short leash. Later.
Hey man, love your videos, been watching a while. So 440Hz equals the note A in the classical world, has been that way for a minute. Can I just ask, do you stick your deck speed/pitch fader at 0 and try to beatmatch from there and never change it? No. You change the fader position to beatmatch the previous track. That changes the pitch/frequency. What I’m saying is your pitch/speed fader is rarely at 0, therefore you’re rarely at 440 assuming you’re in the key of A. I think you’ve been reading a few too many conspiracy theories…and in fact you , as a DJ, can manipulate the frequencies to suit the vibe…..so if you end up on A=440 (rare AF) you can notch it down a touch to 432. You have the power!

I’m a BBC sound engineer who records classical music for Radio3, not saying I know a huge amount about sound physics, although I did study it 20 years ago, so have a tiny amount of knowledge. Everything is relative, changing A=440hz makes zero change if the DJ is beatmatching at a different speed. Does that make sense to you? Hope it does.
@@sifidelity With all respect to your background and effort for the comment : I would like to share a bit of information and some of my thoughts too about this subject of tuning the root notes and what there would be to say about it (with my beginner knowledge of music theory ) : First I would like to mention ,after reading some comments , that the common tempo fader on several dated CDJ 's /turntables can ,as I see it , indeed be used to rise or lower pitch without the use of master tempo , but do also speed up or slow down the music track in time ( and 'context' ) as well ,if it is not just one tone one would play in a loop or so . Please correct me if I am wrong . These video's of Early music sources ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-si6QNVn40GM.html are a good reference for me how to see it on how much is tuned to A 440 today . That without starting about the good feeling / cosmos factor with other tunings and all there could be said about it over time together with the ancient religions that were busy to ban tunes that would make one turn on or go dance with the devil .
