Why did we leave “The Organization That Shall Not Be Named?”
We get asked about why we left "The Organization That Shall Not Be Named" a lot. And, as members of this channel I feel like it's ok to share with our Pro Monkey Family a bit more detail about why, after so many years, you would step away from an organization you love so much. So... here it goes... the whole story why we left.

As a Clinical Social Worker who works adolescent inpatient (hospital) with mostly suicidal or serious mental health cases, I completely understand the position your wife was in. It is a recipe for major burnout. Hard enough keeping your head screwed on right as it is working that kind of job, without also doing similar on your spare time. Got to take care of yourself first before you try to help anyone else.

I admire you both. I belong to an organization that we know have a mission for kids and veterans. We do two charity rides. A year plus multiple fundraisers through out the year for both causes. We have an ex senator ( bill diamond ) in Maine who started up walk a mile in their shoes. And we were the first to get his charity out there. We are doing everything we can to helping the children

I don’t think you owe any kind of explanation. However, as a follower of the channel I kind of was wondering. I’m not part of an organization that shall not be named but….I work an a branch of healthcare that I am constantly fighting hospitals, doctors and insurance companies to give and provide the care that people, especially the elderly, can be able to live at home and maintain a quality of life. What I’m talking about is a can of worms that requires so much conversation unless your in my world. The Healthcare system is broken. Anyway, I salute you both for your decision. That took some Avocados, all in or out. I have a funny feeling you two will be back in your organization. I can tell the passion is still there but maybe right now is not the right time. I’m still on fire for my cause because I’m single and have that luxury. I wish there was an organization in my Missouri area that addresses elderly and handicapped persons. I would be on board. God Bless!

This is just my opinion. I think the heroes are the kids who go through that stuff. The 10 year old that gives up a better life , goes back to the parent that abused them because they are worried about the 2 younger kids. Raises them, then becomes a cop. That's my hero. Her name is Kirsten.. good vid. I could never do that sort of work/ charity.

Wow,Totally landed here by accident but your cool but your bride is cool as hell.😂We have 3 step grandkids moved in with us that I never believed the s.daughter could be involved with things she was. I understand working with kids that have been abused. I’m sure her great sense of humor got through tough times. You being a big guy I’m sure is a hit with the kids. We also were involved with Special Olympics as we have one son with CP and an adopted child with autism. You have to put your own family first. No guilt in it at all. You guys seem like the kind that should be in this work. You can get so involved with other things your own family goes to crap. What do you do live and learn.

I was a founder/president of a BACA Chapter in a Northern CA County where the services were much needed. We were well on our way to becoming a full charter when an issue arose at a State Conference. Some of the chapters in the larger metropolitan areas decided that retired and or current members of law enforcement should not be members of BACA. These chapters had been attending CofC meetings and began to be influenced by the clubs of CofC. As a retired LEO, this left a bit of a bitter taste. I respectfully left the chapter, along with a number of other members who disagreed with this type of direction for the organization. It is truly an awesome organization. It was just sad that many had lost their way and became a bite too full of themselves. I fully respect your decision and the reasons for that decision...and huge props to Mrs. Monkey for the work she does. I had been assigned to child sexual assault cases during my career... toughest cases to handle for anyone.

Thank you for showing love to law enforcement for helping when kids are going through hell. Too often the motorcycle community finds it fashionable to hate cops for no reason other than "culture". Keep in mind, a shit ton of cops ride too, so, we can get along if you want but you have to make that choice. Cops go through a ton of nasty shit on the job from seeing bikers run over by big rigs, to finding infants murdered in their carriers and discarded outside in the winter cold by their own mother who was too twacked out of her mind to realize infants cry when they're hungry and the way to make it stop is to feed it. Any way, soory for the rant, all that to say, thank you for breaking with biker culture and showing law enforcement a little love for what we deal with. ML&R

I love your videos just found them a couple weeks ago. I went on my first bike run this summer with a couple friends luckily a couple of them had an extra bike and let me ride it for the run it was similar to what you were doing i think in a way but more of a focus on helping less fortunate kids in the county raising money for new bikes. I also bought my first Harley the end of last month and find your parts videos helpful. I'm trying to find a seat that is better then the stock softial one after about 40 miles it starts getting very uncomfortable the problem is i live out on the west coast in the middle of nowhere its a 2 hour ride to the closest Harley shop other then that i have no clue where to get a new seat other then online but then i might end up going through several seats before i find one that works and that looks expensive from what i have found. also would like to ask if you have any thoughts on how i would get the older V-twin cam lop this milwaukee-8 is nice but it sound more like a Honda then a Harley feel free to direct message me if you would like

Anyone who prioritizes children have a special place in heaven. In my opinion, children are the most important gem( I didn't want to say "thing") in the world. My wife and I donate to children's causes. When we were members of Ft. HOG, we were invited to Daytona for a party were we donated money to Boggy Creek. On that Sunday we were to go visit the children but I couldn't go. It was too emotional for me as I would have cried the minute I would have seen those precious children. God bless you both.

I’m an old gray goat now and been in a dominant MC for many years. BACA was my very first introduction into the “Motorcycle World” Not “club” since BACA is NOT and is an organization. But I spent 5 years in BACA. It was in its infancy then. Like you say, it’s a great “Organization” with an absolute awesome cause. I understand the training now is intense and pretty well put together. The time, travel and investment rivals that of any MC I have been in, including the 1% MC I am in now. 10-15K miles a year is NOT uncommon. I was in a chapter that has ALL 4 Seasons and we rode ALL 4 Seasons! The kids expect bikers to show up and on bikes, not in cars. I left BACA because of burnout stage, and back then, we TCB not knowing what they know now. We were the ones that made BACA have “intense Training” on what NOT to do! Lol. The main problem with BACA is its Blessing and Curse! It is Co-Ed. Meaning you have both male and females, boyfriends/girlfriends, husband/wives (like yourselves). I was solo. But the drama that came from this “Co-Ed” set up was insane. The testosterone would build up and a guy who thought he was in an actual MC had to take orders from the woman (officer) who he was smashing behind his other brothers back? Chit like that! All possible Fooked up scenario’s occurred internally! And like you say, we had to keep self checking ourselves that we were NOT an MC, esp a 1%. Luckily, I had made my contacts during BACA and left when I couldn’t take the internal drama anymore. I prospected for a 1% support MC for 2 years and was approached to “Step Up” where I have been for 16 years (16-haha). Anyway, a great “organization” with a great cause. It does have intense incredible drama if left unchecked. I always pitied my BACA President for trying to keep order between the Testosterone/Estrogen filled battles. I can’t believe that any of that has changed much..because it CAN’T…lol. That particular chapter ended up imploding (surprise) but then reformed and they are still going. I do see them at our open events from time to time. But yeah, a lot of commitment, a lot of riding, and a lot of money…but all for a great cause. Funny story…I am very good friends with a judge (now) that was a SA back then we all worked with. Kinda weird he knows what I do now, and I know what he does but we never talk about any of that. Thank God I have never had go before him for anything! Soon I am to retire from Club life and I am sure he will give a big sigh of relief when I’m done! Good video and you did well “dancing around” what some of the reasons why you left. I completely understand! 😜 ☮ Dingus 1%er

@johncoffee5837 7 месяцев назад
With respect, what are the reasons you joined the 1% MC? I appreciate that you shared the comment; and can’t help to notice that being in the MC was actually LESS drama than being in BACA. I figured the MC would demand much more commitment, riding and $$.

You're decision, as difficult as it may have been, is very admirable in that you put family first. The children in foster care are in great hands with Mrs. Monkey, no doubt. You 2 rock. Stay safe and god bless Monkeys.

Why did you feel you couldn’t name the organization (BACA) when doing your videos? I feel not only would you bring attention to the cause but also educate your followers. You should feel very proud of yourselves and I for one applaud you. Bob jones

There are strict rules on discussing the organization especially via media outlets. Best to avoid running afoul of any

Forgotten Angels is another great charity for kids aging out of the foster care system. My wife is an outreach Community Healthcare worker or a homeless healthcare plan here on island and I am a former cop and run a program for the National Guard Youth Challenge doing team building. I also have a full time State job so I know where you are coming from.

I really appreciate for all you guys did for all those kids for so many years and for all the sacrifices you guys went through. I think you and your wife should make a podcast about it to encourage other people to help with this cause. I have a nephew who is a psychologist who works with abused kids from different countries coming to United States and know exactly what you are talking about. Again thank you guys, we need more people like you guys.

I went to a few meetings with the intent of learning about baca and wanting to become a member. What i found was that i really do not have the time to commit to them. I still think they are a wonderful organization and try to support them as much as possible. Thank you both for all you have done and continue to do for, not just kids, but everyone you help. Your channel has helped spread fun, happiness, and kindness to many people across the biker community. Thank you for being kind people. Hope to see you in daytona for bike week.

You two have my respect and admiration for how you handled it and made sure the Heroes and your duties were completely taken cared of and/or resolved. My wife & I left shortly after we earned our “tomatoes” and bottom rockers for the secondary reasons you left. We absolutely loved the organization and the majority of the people but there were some patches that treated us like we were scum and not worth anything even though we gave and would give more of every ounce of our soul to empower those kids during their darkest times. At the end of the day, we left because we wanted to protect our family from the chauvinistic, hateful and down right mean spirited treatment we received on the L1’s. It’s amazing how some patches acted when they knew no one was watching versus when they thought they had the spotlight and their ego & self worth overshadowed the mission. We appreciate you two and we love your channel and it’s content. Keep up the great work and know you have our utmost respect and support. God Bless 🙏❤️

I am sorry you had that experience in the Org. That is not how anyone should be treated. Everyone has a role to play and no one should be treated that way. It is not indicative of the Org or every chapter, just to let you know.

@@cem1133 We both appreciate the time you spent reading & replying to our comment. We’re truly heartbroken when we reported the behavior, we got “yeah, we know who he is and we got a lot of complaints about him. He’s been with BACA for 15 or 16 years, so he’s not going anywhere” instead of “don’t let that bother you but please focus on your own reasons why you’re both here in helping the children. Yes, it absolutely is a kick in the gut when that happened to us but we did the right thing and those who we’re still friends with after we officially left said we did the right thing. Who knows, we may want to come back if things change and the culture shifts to being about the mission versus a “big D party” and doing everything in their power to make new members feel uncomfortable & unwelcome. Until then, we’ll focus on our own family and business and we know you’ll do the same. Keep up the great content and attitude, we’ll be watching and supporting you guys. God Bless.

@davidtruong9367 Again I am sorry that you were treated that way in the Org. It is supposed to be all about the kids but can get toxic on occasion with bad members. That should have been taken care of by your sponsor and by the CEB. Unfortunately the Org has started to become in my opinion to big to fast and things are taking the CEM and SEB's away from mission and having them focus to much on policy. As a sponsor myself and as the chapter Sgt-at-arms I was disheartened to hear what ya'll experienced. Again please don't let that one member taint how you view the Org and I hope one day you guys will decide to come back in. All the best Doc Tri-city Va@@davidtruong9367

@@cem1133 Unfortunately it was our sponsor that said that when we reported the awful behavior to her and we got ZERO follow ups from the CEB. So after a full three days, we officially left and gave back the patches. It was a very sad day; we miss our brothers and sisters so much as we now watch on the sidelines cheering them on from a distance. Wish we were in your chapter based on your insights and thoughts about how things “should have” happened or been handled, but that was not the case. Praying for all those who still ride and give their all to those kids.
