Them Farmfoods pamphlets are literally junk mail that we get shoved through our door by the postman all the time 🤣 now you can say you're a victim of British junk mail to!
Hope you like the book! The tracking STILL claims the parcel is "Awaiting Delivery Scan"!!! I forgot to put 'no cheese included' on the packaging! 😁And sorry about the rubbish writing skills.
I absolutely love Anna and JT....they are fun loving people. I heard one of them saying something about being adults....pleaseeee..... don't ever grow up!! Have fun, laugh at yourselves, laugh at life... I'm 62 and I don't act my age! It's against my law to do so! Cheese and rice guys...(sorry JT...just nicked your catchphrase)....😂.
My tip for the super noodles when you try them is to cook the noodles first and drain the water and then sprinkle the flavouring on as it gives it a more intense flavour. I find adding it while the noodles are cooking waters the flavour down. 5:38
For your information there is no tax on food in the U.K. unless it is cooked from a takeaway. There are many items tax exempt. Newspapers, books, artwork, racehorses and children’s clothes. Energy is (gas and electricity) is taxed at 5% everything else has VAT ( value added tax) @ 20% Petrol and diesel has a road fuel tax around 50% plus vat @20%
Don’t have room for the racetrack? Get yourself a sheet of plywood. Take it out to your yard on a nice day. Then simply set up the track on the sheet of plywood wood and enjoy! 😊
I have one. You have one. So do bears, rabbits, squirrels, and even whales. Innie or outie, belly buttons are one of the distinguishing characteristics for mammals. They are proof that once upon a time we were tethered to an umbilical cord. I hope that helps
Its not just different on a state level, its also different on county and city levels as well. The taxes can be different in a store a mile down the road, that's why they never include tax in the price. Its just too complicated. There are thousands of tax districts in the US because of all the different tax levels. Oh, and there's also different taxes on certain items. Its a mess.
@@Laura-mi3nvthat sounds utterly mental...we pay one price in shops here in the u.k..admittedly they can differ from shop to shop but not by much...a few pence at most for the equivalent product..
@@NevilleBamshu23 - it does sound mental, but it benefits the communities that you're spending in. Florida is a great example, they should tax differently as tourists bring so much traffic into certain areas that that income helps to pay for all kinds of public works that benefit the tourists. And at the end of the year, Floridians don't have to file/pay state taxes because they don't have any.
Fun Fact : the Burton's Salt & Vinegar Fish and Chips were made by your Wales People. They are in Llantarnam which is about 10 minutes from where I used to live. also, my brother works there so I used to get loads of freebies, wagon wheels, maryland cookies, jammie dodgers etc.
Hi JT & Anna, Also over here the tax on (main food items) is low Eg, Bread, Milk, Meat, Cheese, Tea etc, But Luxury food things like, Ice-cream, Sweets, Cakes, Biscuits (cookies) etc is higher plus we have a sugar tax on some luxury foods to try to counteract obesity (but I dont think it helps. The normal tax rate here in the uk is 20%.
@@ikitclaw7146 How come when i buy a packet of wipes for like £2 then its £2 when i get to the checkout in the usa its probably $2 on the shelve but like $7 at the till
Now Ana, think about it. ALL mammals have belly buttons whatever species. If it was born from a uterus and has an umbilical cord connected to a placenta .. it has a belly button. Come to think of it, even some sharks have belly buttons.
U.K. food has tax (VAT) included but a lot of food stuff is tax free. Sweet foods, crisps etc are charged 20% tax. High sugar items are also taxed higher so Coca Cola original is more expensive than Diet Coke.
As an English person who is feeling the pinch of the Recent increases of food prices. I am absolutely shocked at the prices of your food across the pond, how can anyone afford to eat?
I have a sales card from 3 grocery stores and I’m sent a eflyer ever week and I go to the grocery store that has the better sale, last week Market32 , has pot roast for 99 cents a pound, I bought three of them and today, when I went to the same store, I checked the price of the pot roast for this week, it was $6.99 a pound.
Re the choccy tea cakes. Back in the day the centre was filled with a proper marshmallow not the awful fluff stuff. This meant tha a break time we would smash the choccy then pick it off Then pick the marshmallow of finally the biscuit was the last. 🇬🇧
The farm foods place is a food warehouse, not a supermarket. So the theory is you can get better deals at a food warehouse for the amount of food. At regular supermarkets chips are more money.
When you try the mars bar, Could you guys go and find an american "milky way" to try at the same time. (apparently they are the same thing, Also our milky way is like a creamy filled thing)
They have the 3 musketeers bar which is the same as the milky way we had before it was changed back in the 90s to the one we have now, back then the filling was chocolate flavour , its vanilla flavour now, the reason it was changed was they introduced the flyte bar which was basically just the same as the old milky way, but they discontinued that as well in the mid 2000s, if you would like to try old UK version of the milky way they still produce them in Australia
I know why tax isn't included in ur pricing. Each state differs in tax and the price can change from street to street if they are close enough to state borders, so instead of confusing people they just list before tax price and add tax at the end to stop confusion and I guess aswell as price match as they would be the same price before tax just not after
So instead of confusing people by telling them the actual price, they let them guess what it will be at the check out (if prices varied by street)? Shops showing the price on the shelf is normal, so each could show the prices for that shop and there would be no confusion. The real reason is - not showing the tax makes things look cheaper, and it makes a political point of “look how much your government is taking” by making people see it as separate - which makes people resent paying tax which is what corporations want.
when it comes to prices i remember going to bars in New York and not having a clue how much any of the drinks cost in the uk its law that a bar has to have a price tariff on display behind the bar (all mammals have belly buttons)
Interesting that different states have different taxes on food. You get it a bit in the UK. If I remember rightly the alcohol tax went up in Scotland but not in England and Wales. So you'd pay for for the same alcoholic item over the boarder.
Those FARMFOODS prices aren't quite as good as they look - those prices are in UK pounds, so you need to multiply each price by approximately 1.26 to get to the US$ equivalent.
Just looked because of what someone else wrote and I was really surprised? Knew it was German as I used them in the early eighties when stationed over there but..........The first Aldi in the US? 1976 in Iowa. Don't know how long they lasted though?
I can assure you moving to the uk for are prices will not be a good thing. $10 dollars for a gallon of fuel and farm foods is one lowest priced food shops in the country the rest are ridiculously over charging us right now. 3 years ago would of been ok.
Chip Shop curry is a sauce/dip sold in UK fish & chip shops to dunk your chips/fries in like the little pots in McDs but a lot bigger and slightly runny
Tax is included guys when you get to the check-out, you pay what is on the label that is it, you don't have to wait for it to be added, we cal it vat in the uk
@JT Reacts , you can set up the tracks in the yard if you have a large wooden panel for it to sit on . As for the hedgehog dog toy my dog loves them and biting into the soft spikes helps to cleanthe dogs teeth .
Hi guys, love your videos, really helps me detach from the stresses of day to day life, thank you. I will be sending you a treat parcel from the UK soon. Tee x
