If you think that through, it doesn’t make any sense. Why would Damien kick out if he heard music? Or, why would the ref stop counting when the music hit? He’s pretty clearly had his bell rung if you watch the footage. The real tell is that he starts wiggling his fingers after he hits the ground, which is a natural response after you get disoriented.

The predetermined reveal was like maybe 30 years ago. I've seen people today in video comments, "You do know it's fake right?" Like the 5, or 10%, there should be 0%. Some break kayfabe, while others maintain it. Thank you Taker! It is a testament to professionalism of the performers to maintain the suspension of belief/disbelief after all these years. We all should know it's predetermined, but we still accept it.

I just thought Finn Balor paid the ref to not finish the count, that whole backstage scene they shot made it seem like he wasn’t going to get directly involved but was still involved

@@69WolfLink that would’ve been one way to handle it, yeah. I think the way they did handle it was really interesting though - by just going straight at it head on and mentioning it on the show.

They likely should’ve picked a better spot for drew to cash in…or maybe queue his music right when Seth tries to pin priest so Seth stops the pin himself because he got to worry about drew now

If you think that through - why would Drew’s music cause Priest to kick out? It doesn’t quite add up that that’s what happened.

People also seem to forget that the ref has to make that decision in a split second. He does not have time to way all the options. It is easy to state what would have been the best option afterwards when you are not under the same spotlight.
