man if weiland dropped all those tapes and songs he was teasing during the packrunner era, he would definitely be in a different spot rn, but at least he didn't fall off 🤷♂
weiland got alot of potential especially from his unreleased snippets, although his infrequent updates to fans and not dropping hurt him in the long run.still enjoy his music
I think it's because the self titled album had music that could have blown him up in this time. But he switched to a genre that is harder to blow up in currently. I think he saw that his current sound has more longevity potential he just should've gained a bigger following first.
Nop: it won't, because he will drop it way too late, and after American Pop he is going to disappear for another 2 or 3 years, that making him not blowing up anytime soon
Interesting.. forgot about this guy till i found demons again and remembered how much i fuckin loved that song back then. Always remember looking out to see him come up more but never seemed like he rlly did. I was going thru his soundcloud the other day after stumbling across demons and listening to his old shot which is fire i didnt get to listen to vices or any of his new shit tho.. i see u said in the vid he just randomly switched up his genre.. i guess maybe thats why i havent rlly seen much about him or had soundcloud reccomemd me his songs or anything bc it wasnt the type of music i was listening to. And part of me thinks, damn, so unfortunate.. if u just stuck with it u rlly coulda prob blew up.. BUT, at the same point. I try to put myself in his shoes (and i really dont know alot about him i mostly just knew demons then listened to a bunch of other ones and heard that fake news report into in that one song and then wanted to look it up and see if it was real and found this subreddit and now here i am lol) But maybe the whole packrunner shit drug dealer stuff wasnt totally him and he was just having fun tryna get attention doing what was cool and trendy. Then as he grew up and developed and found himself he started to do what really spoke to him and felt more right. Who knows 🤷♂️ ill have to look into it more Alternarive tho? Yikes. When i went thru his sc i didnt hear any of that but ill have to go back and listen again bc i just went thru his top tracks.
Even though packrunner Weiland isn’t here anymore there’s still artist out there that sound similar to him like R3alt4lk or Hi-c to kinda keep up that vibe
