I agree, and I'll keep writing letters to Disneyland and Disney World to fix and update Tiana's Bayou Adventure with a better drop off song "Friends on the Other Side" more characters added like Dr. Facilier or his iconic tombstone, and a better storyline until they can make it just as good as the both former Splash Mountains. In the future I kinda would like to go to Tokyo Disneyland to ride Splash Mountain but only if my family members agree to take me on the trip but it's going to be expensive for me and my family to fly over to Japan and China Disneyland.
I mean it is one of the most popular rides there and the characters are well loved because of the culture differences compared to the one's in America. If I ever go to Japan i might stop by just to ride splash again. I went on the Disney World version back in 2012 and I believe that splash gave me my love for water rides. From the videos you can see that Tokyo Disney takes really good care of the animatronics. I hope Disney doesn't do anything that would make them get rid of the last original version that we have. Edit: YES IT DEFINITELY IS THE BEST VERSION!!! the animatronics look so amazing.
Walt would be so proud of Tokyo Disneyland. It truly envisions the magic he wanted for the other parks which have been destroyed by corporate political greed. RIP America’s Disney magical. 😢
@@Pokemanmon It’s not that DEI is bad. It’s the way it’s used as an excuse to send a political message when that message has nothing to do with the film being made or today’s standards. Iger and his woke cronies want to send the world backwards and create social diversity and distrust. Where as Walt wanted to “Keep moving forward” and build a better tomorrow.
I was recently at tokyo disneyland a few weeks ago and they were playing “everybody has a laughing place” in their music loop near the esplanade, though it seems there is no splash mountain merch there , as the most i could find was a pin of splash mountain with chip and dale
Another weird thing Disney did to tokyo, was banning br'er rabbit fox and bear's meet and greets on the park (tbh it's not surprising they don't even appear at once upon a studio, so it would be weird to have them at the parks)
So would this make the Br'er characters extinct characters now??? Oh man, and to think they used to be so common only 10 years ago... Think I might even have some of their signatures in my old autograph booklet, gonna have to check if I still have it.
@@jeffreymodesitt3345 yeah... They were at Disney parks even when Disney annouced that splash Mountain was going to close, so yeah, they're now extinct and excluded of the entire Disney enterprise and history in less than 3 years🙃
The characters got more love than usual in 2019 with the 30th anniversary of Splash including new plushes, Funkos, etc….just to all be pulled less than a year later after the announcement was made. That’s probably part of what made it so jarring for some fans because it looked like the characters were going to start getting more love and then…yeah…
It's crazy how Disney is going further to scrapping any evidence of this ride as possible that they banning a popular catchy song from playing through out an international park that they don't really own.
@@SirBuzz I agree. think Disney’s DEI bs will settle. It is my beloved dream that Splash would one day be brought in a few decades. At least it is still in Tokyo.
I mentioned in a different comment section about "Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah" being banned outside of the ride in Tokyo Disneyland, and someone said they were just at the park, and they played it at the entrance of the park. With that said, I think I don't think it's banned there.
Interestingly, the rumour that Zip a dee doo dah was removed from music loops seems to be false, as it still plays in multiple parts of TDL including the monorail.
It certainly is/was the best of the three in terms of maintainence and details, but I really like the way WDWs “How Do You Do” section was set up tbh. All three of them had their own quirks which I liked. But at the end of the day, I’m glad we still have one left and hopefully it sticks around.
@@FM7StudiosAs a supporter of what Disney USED TO BE, I heard about Tiana’s evil plan, and a fan of lost media and classic Disney, once I saw the once-proud Disneyland version getting rethemed, I said, pretending to be talking to Iger “You can’t show that junk! Think of the lawsuits! Rethink your decision, especially closing it during the hottest summer yet!”
I haven’t been on that ride in almost a decade and yet I will never forget how I was constantly singing “Zippitee do Dah” whenever I got off of it. Amazing story. Worst decision for them to change it!!
@@FM7Studios Do you think the new ride will be successful or will it lose popularity due to it being inferior? Definitely don’t see it going 30+ years!
@@applianceman6009The replacement was absolutely hated just look at the dislike ratio😭 (using a Google extension). Everyone absolutely hates it bc Disney replaced it for being “racist” or smth so they could be more inclusive. The ride already broke down not even one week after operating either.
@applianceman6009 Bayou Adventure won’t age well. Its already got technical issues and is very unpopular to begin with. My hope is that someday they get changed back to Splash……but who knows. I don’t see it staying Bayou Adventure though. I think those animatronics will eventually be used for a new Tiana ride.
One of the most beautiful and emotional adds on TDL is an anime style ad showing a girl growing up from baby to old lady visiting the park and riding Splash Mountain with her boyfriend in their teens. This is how Japanese cherish Splash Mountain, an icon as important as Cinderella's Castle.
Tiana's apparently has technical issues ignored by the people responsible for it. That's why it keeps breaking down. All of that lurking below the surface of today's Disney Co, now corrupted by obnoxious politics, half-crocked creativity & corner-cutting economics.
I did enjoy Splash Mountain when I visited TDL. I hope they keep it & Disney just quietly let it be. That would keep both sides happy. Banned elsewhere in the US, but left alone in Japan, especially as the film is already in Public Domain there.
I'm very glad to see people chanpion this version of the attraction. When TBA was announced, anytime I mentioned this version, there was a chance I'd be attacked for it. It didn't matter if i mentioned that Japan has a very very different cultural perspective of this attraction. "They should still close it because it's the right thing to do" was my favorite excuse. 🙄
I recently visited TDL resort earlier this month, and while it was rumored that they removed the Zip A Dee Do Dah song from the monorail, it still exists. I heard it.
Japan is getting more aware of “the Messege “ nonsense, especially after Ubisoft throwing doo doo at Japan’s history. Ubisoft could have said it’s all fiction, and called it a day. Nope, they didn’t do it, and made a black samurai game killing their people, and making Japanese peasants bow down to the fake samurai. Thank you Ubisoft, for getting Japanese more aware of the woke nonsense. (Random rant) Samurai is not only a man who wields his sword, but also a man who owns his land with peasants living on it. It’s more like Nobel Knights, but Japanese style.
That would need to start at the top with Iger. And he will be picking a like minded CEO I’m sure. So things are VERY far off from changing anytime soon…..if ever. The only way would be for fans to completely outright boycott them. Money is the only way to hurt them. That’s why I was so disappointed Inside Out 2 is doing well. They’ll just use that money to spread more woke propaganda nonsense…..and attach Inside Out IP to everything they can I’m sure. Journey Into Imagination will probably be rethemed to it now 🙄
In America we take our wild west culture and southern culture for granted. Not thinking that they're considered exotic to foreign countries. That's what Splash Mountain is. A piece of Americana and folklore that they don't have so it's very special to them. No wonder they made a restaurant to it. When I was a teen I always wondered why so many foreign guests come to the wild west park we had. And watch a shoot out. Then I realize, they didn't have cowboys.
Do you know Song of the South was released on home media in Japan 🇯🇵 in 1990 that’s one ☝️ of the reasons Splash Mountain is staying at Tokyo Disneyland
I’m going to Tokyo Disney in September the day tickets are under £43 a day😮 the parks look far superior and they don’t charge extra for events such as Halloween. I have been travelling from uk to USA for Disney parks since 1992 and this year decided to try Tokyo
It’s a totally different experience but with familiar vibes. The people are super polite, they sit on the ground to watch parades (& take their own mats to sit on), standing up is only permissible from the very back during parades, there’s a “lottery” for the fireworks at the castle (I think it’s fixed so you see them at least once in your visit), Disney Seas is a fun park (try the Sinbad ride & you’ll sing the song for days), & just have a great time. I loved it & will treasure the memories.
Tokyo Disneyland should definitely keep splash mountain. There is too much political things at Disney theme parks in the states so they changed the whole concept of splash mountain
Disney should have retheme one of the US-based Splash Mountains rather than retheming both of them at the same time. It's a test to see if Tiana's Bayou Adventure would do better than Splash Mountain...
It will get rethemed down the line if they are sticking to their current plan. They’ve been gutting or retheming rides past 20 years old. Mickey Mouse Revue for Philarmagic, Autopia got scrapped for Baymax and Beauty and the Beast, Space Mountain for a new Space Mountain, Buzz Lightyear for a Wreck it Ralph reskin and Small World is getting a limited time Marvel version.
@@FM7Studios If it does get re-themed, it's bound to be something that is huge in Japan. Imagine a Stitch overlay for example where it's you going across the island to spot the different experiments with the lift being Stitch jumping onto Gantu's ship with pressured water etc
