someone else made a video exactly like this but took it down recently, i recreated it bc it's really funny and i like it a lot. if you're the original guy and want me to take this down just lmk audio: • alan walker - faded (n...
everyone PLEASE do yourself a favor and read homestuck exclusively through the Unofficial Archive, it's a godsend and it has everything in HD, including all the interactive minigames and the walkarounds
For all you Homestuck fans out there, a solution to the problem of shitty Viz media Flash renders: The Unofficial Homestuck Collection, which restores all the original qualities of the Flash animations, as well as giving you different options on how to read Homestuck. There's a downloadable version, and there's a web version (you can't use the flash stuff on the web version, so what's the point :p). The downloadable version is, in my opinion, the best way to read Homestuck in 2023. or 2024. or probably any year after that. Okay, you're welcome now.
Technological advancement can do as it please, all I want is to one day be able to once again see Dream Jade shake and slap Dream John in perfect unison with the horns section of Descend.
You don't know my level of disappointment in finding out that there were once playable sections of homestuck. Knowing full well that I could have started reading it in highschool instead of 3 years later.
Headcanon: anyone/anything that’s made ectobiologically is secretly radioactive which would cause the camera to look completely grainy in terms of quality, which is why all viz media flashes look like that
I'm showing my friend Homestuck for the first time because it's such an important cultural artifact and he'll never get to see it the way it was intended 😞
i mean hey, there's the unofficial archive..? it preserved the entirety of homestuck homestuck perfectly, precisely the way it looked, sounded and, well. the way it just was
This video shows up every time I start looking into Homestuck again. It's like a beautiful reminder of how much I love/hate this very cool amd new webcomic
honestly, the flash versions all still work perfectly if you have the ruffle browser plugin. occasionally it'll throw a warning at you but I've yet to find any homestuck stuff that doesn't work properly
the video quality is fine but for some reason the player switches to 144p mode by itself after a few seconds of video and stays like that unless manually dialed back up
They're 1080p but they *totally* cut corners on compression, especially with the sound. I'm disappointed. I hope someone out there has the old flashes.
SOMEONE OUT THERE DOES HECK YEAH I KNEW I COULD TRUST THE INTERNET HISTORIANS OF THE WORLD. Some dude named Bambosh saved all the flashes *and* gifs, and developed a program that allows you to read it just like the good ol' days.
