Why do men lie so much? 

Stop telling men everything you are looking for in a man. Reason, he will put on a show and act like he is at your standards when in reality he is manipulating you into thinking he is the man you're looking for. Once he has you hooked, he will drop you like a hot cake.

They lie because they want to lie. Lying takes energy. And men put more energy into their lies than they do their lives.

A married man told me he was single. I found out he was married later on my own. Why did he lie to? He wanted me to have no issue sleeping with him. I could care less about his pain when I have pain of my own: Men trying to use me for sex. I am no man's therapist. That is a job I don't want.

The last man I dated lied to me and said he dated one of his female friends. He then told me he never said it and made me feel like a fool for “believing” him.

It’s scary to deal with men who don’t understand...you don’t have to lie to kick it. When a man’s self esteem is grounded in the self...it does not matter who bombards him with ideas of who he should be! Lies keep him from being seen as a positive, necessary, and welcomed addition to the lives of others. Who wants to deal with this???

I let the men do most of the talking and I listen and HEAR exactly what they are saying, which has saved me from going into some very bad relationships and also getting out of a few after a short while. I will continue to let the man talk and I listen, this will be a great way to find out his true intentions and also to learn about him. I also watch to see if his actions match his words.

You are speaking the truth. I'm currently dealing with a man that has deal with a lot in his life, and its soooo hard to understand him ALOT since I been with him. He is a hard worker, but after the work is over, he tend to forget the importance that surrounds or in his life. He drinks ALOT, not compassionate at all its like I have to be the one getting affectionate & its getting old. He said he been hurt in his past with woman, but I'm not them & I let him know that several times. I'm getting to the point where I'm tired of trying. I'm a good women with a good heart.. I deserve BETTER..

The way you explained their reasoning in the first 5 mins is SO TRUE and that can apply to anyone with things stacked against them.

For women it's having a child making you a women. They feel like you don't know what life is if you have no kids. I prefer to bring one into the world with my husband. We have enough kids with dysfunction .

As a wife of 13+ years, it is definitely a turn on when a man can fix things or build things around the house as opposed to having to call someone else and pay them to fix it. But you are right that no one is perfect and we all do the best that we can.

my Ex lied about almost everything... - He lied about his age, - He lied about him temporarily living with his parents because his dad was sick while He actually never moved out of his parents’ house at 35+, - He lied about being a man of Integrity while he cheated on almost all of his exes (Me included, and even got that woman he cheated on Me with pregnant), - He lied to the woman he was cheating on me with that he can’t break up with Me because I’m his boss’ daughter and he will loose his job if ever try to leave me, - He lied about wanting to start a business so that he can secure a good future for us and our future kids, while the whole time He was trying to get me to invest my parents’ money, but got frustrated with Me because I was too smart and difficult to convince (according to his pastor and his ex)...

Anytime that I am out with a man, I just ask questions. I volunteer little or no information about myself or what I want in a man. I realized long ago that they are liars. I just let them talk, talk and talk. Plus they love talking about themselves. I don't know why or how we ladies put up with them. It is all so draining.

I agree that women shouldn’t expect for people to be honest and well intentioned by default, it’s not practical - in business it’s you, your desires and instinct. That was my mistake. I spent so many years working on and refining myself - therapy, books, spiritually, audio books 8-10 hours a day (just like you) while I was building my business out of my kitchen. At some point my default (trauma based) view of life changed, I became more heart centered and deeply authentic. Somewhere along the way I just started to assume that everybody was that way. You get to a space where you are so healed, you “Become Love” (I Love that BTW) loving of everyone and everything that you want nothing more than to contribute to Humanity in a positive way. I went into corporate Tech with this line of thinking and logic - it made me a great leader and I advanced quickly right to the top without trying. We ended up build the fastest growing Unicorn in Silicon Valley history ....in 18 months. I found out the hard way that my view of life and people....I had to keep myself isolated, most people, especially pathological traumatized men are absolutely NOT about connection or growth. They are anti social and anti Life. Vet all men with callous ruthlessness - that’s my advice.

Tony is 1000% correct especially the point about listening. I have done that in every relationship and men tell me that they love how attentive, open minded and a good listener I am. They feel safe to express themselves without judgement but the downside is...when I'm ready to walk away they have a hard time letting me go because they've never had that type of interaction with other women so they hold on for dear life making promises to change 🤦🏽‍♀️

My bestest friend from JHS til this day, her boyfriend at the time called me inviting me to dinner of course I wondered what happened he said they were not together anymore, well I called her asked her how did her man get my number I told her what he said. Well she said keep the date and we both showed up at his front door, well the lying back stabbing sob was choked for words.

The men I have been out with men who lied; and yes they were almost paralyzed in fear and insecurity. Ofcourse, I perceived; and kept thinking it would stop. If they lie, they are liars...No worse sin...and they will not change . Period. No liar will be in my life. Nonnegotiable

We all sin and no man is perfect. The goal is to Change your mindset and become a positive individual. Self-awareness is key and having faith that you are a great man. During times of self-doubt know that you are made in the image of god and spark your inner peace.

I get that. But at some point men need to come themselves, and realize what it takes for them to be a man. They need to stop letting society tell them who they are supposed to be, and seek who they are supposed to be in God. I understand some people have a rough upbringing, and all of that. But it comes a time when we have to stop making excuses.

I’m also a truth teller. I keep telling the guy I’m seeing that if something doesn’t feel right I have no problem ending things unfortunately. I do a lot of the talking at times so I’ll make sure I listen to him more. Thanks Tony! I just have a lot of growing to do. I learned about Job at his church yesterday and it was on how Job should have learned to control his emotions and repent. My emotions get the best of me and I don’t think I’m helping the guy I’m with because he knows that if something doesn’t feel right then I’ll just end things. I guess now he feels cautious around me. Some people are just really broken and I know that he may be insecure and rejected I see that. He should know that I don’t care about possessions I’m not that type of woman.
