Senreve has been absolutely shoved down our throats by influencers but it's a brand I've never once seen someone carrying in real life. Stop trying to make Senreve happen. It's NOT going to happen!!! 🤢

100%, the marketing is not working and just makes the brand look despite. I do have the belt bag, but I got it a few years ago for travelling (got it 50% off otherwise would never have spent the money). But I have only had American's stop me to ask questions. Influencers who shall remain unnamed. are now plugging the vegan version. For the same money, just go Stella. If they had priced themself around the Coach or Furla market they would have cracked it. But they tried to price at a point where you might as well go a few more quid and get a piece more likely to hold its value.

I CAN’T STAND the Senreve bags. The cost doesn’t seem justifiable for that boring bag in stiff, non-textured leather. I mean, is it leather? 🤔 Someone showed it next to a vegan dupe and I couldn’t tell the difference... The influencers REALLY tried to make “Fetch” happen. 🤦🏾‍♀️

Hear me out: Sometimes you need a low-key bag. Sometimes, you wanna carry a nice bag but you don't need everyone to know you're flexing. I don't carry branded bags when car shopping, negotiating the price of antiques or getting a quote for a home improvement project (the more overtly expensive my outfit the less negotiating power I have). I don't carry branded bags when volunteering. I don't carry branded bags when visiting low-income family. You can't flex all day every day.

Exactly!!! I am in one or more of these scenarios most days. I carry a very nice Globe Trotter handbag. It sort of looks like a Bolide. I live in the US and no one has ever heard of Globe Trotter. I use my luxe bags for going out.

I am so glad you mentioned those Senreve bags and here for your authenticity on the subject! They're not that bad, and I might consider one for work as you said, but I hate their marketing strategy. Everytime I see an influencer talk about how much they love it I just laugh. We all know if they weren't gifted those influencers would never own them!

Cassie, I was one of the people who was "influenced" to buy the Senreve bag and I sold it within 2 weeks. If you wore it with the strap on your shoulder the bag would tilt forward. It looked horrible. When I opened the bag while I had the strap on one shoulder, I was in danger of losing the contents of the bag. It was horribly constructed in that regard. None of the RU-vidrs I watched ever mentioned this flaw and when they were "modeling" the bag, they always seemed to make sure they had their hand on the bag to keep it from tilting forward. I lost so much respect for some of these ladies and I feel they only were pushing this bag for the sponsorship. This is just my opinion and I do not know these ladies personally.

My husband hated the trendy CC and coco handle. He said they gave major granny vibes. But, I think it depends on the colour. I was lucky to get a very vivid Kelly green in the trendy and it's honestly one of my most complimented bags. The lambskin is divine. The coco handle can look very mature as well, depends on how you styled it. But then again, my style is more mature and formal lol.

I completely understand the Senreve Maestra being on this list. I’ve only ever seen the bag once in the wild and it looked ridiculous. That was the bag that opened my eyes to influencers pushing anything if their paid enough. 😂😂 Also, the Chanel Trendy CC is definitely a granny chic bag!

THANK YOU for mentioning those bloody Senreve bags!! I'm sure some people do genuinely like them, but these bloggers with fancy collections being sponsored by them claiming they love them, come on! There is nothing interesting or lux about them. Awful! The only thing they have going for them is they cheekily sponsor every influencer under the sun. Where is the class please. Love that you're so honest! Totally agree re Coco Handle, its the strangest shape ever! Same with the Hermes Evelyn, awful shape that looks so cheap! Would you recommend the chanel belt bags/clutch with chain?! I have seen the new gold belt bag from 21P and its so cute!!

My motto is never to leave a comment unless it's positive and encouraging but I had to say this out loud somewhere. Just like everyone else who commented down here, I really REALLY do not understand the hype around Senreve, esp. Maestra bag. I am so glad that there is a luxury channel that doesn't endorse Senreve. Thank you Cassie!! Those influencers always say 'I get nothing from talking about the bag'. That might be true but I can't stop thinking if they were NOT influencers, they wouldn't ever be talking about Senreve because the bag wouldn't have been in their possession in the first place because it was a free gift.

I’m so glad there is finally an influencer that is honest about the Senreve bag. I keep seeing influencers praising it so much and we all know that bag was gifted to them or they would never wear it. Lol As for the Chanel Trendy, only a young person like you could wear it without it looking granny. As much as I like it on others I’d feel like a granny wearing it at my age (47).

Omg i feel the same about these! EXCEPT the trendy. I think its quite cute. anyway, LV PM truly looks like a mini briefcase and the handle is so flimsy to be held on its own. I too find the Evelyn bag unattractive. Its awful! Looks like something I’d use during my adolescent years.

I agree with senreve not being for everyday HOWEVER for college is the most comfortable practical and low key bag I own, and i also call it my Covid bag, it’s so worry free and functional. I have the Loewe bucket bag and I love that she only catches a few eyes but makes a lasting impression when she does. After a GucciMarmontMoment that lasted all summer I felt that I had to have some Loewe to keep the balance of the universe intact.

Totally agree with you about all of these bags! The Chloe Faye bag especially makes no sense to me. I'd also add the Hermes Picotin bag. I doubt the Evelyn and Picotin bags would be sold if people didn't know they were Hermes.

The Hermes Evelyn makes my never ever list! I'm sure the leather feels lovely and whatnot, but no way would people pay that much for it if it didn't have that perforated H. I don't think it's hideous, but I do think the height is too much for the length. Something about the proportions seems off, and I like a top handle.

Please please please stay you and stay honest, it is so refreshing. It’s always a worry that when people go full time they will stop being honest for sponsorship. I would rather pay a subscription than lose that authenticity. Senreve has some fun designs, but the price for the brand value makes no sense to me. It thrives on influencers to try and push it out of contemporary brands to high end designer.
