I couldn’t imagine dropping $1350 on the bottega earrings! 😳 love the style, but for costume jewelry? They must be mad! I bought the knock offs on Amazon, they were $12 and I love them.
Agreed on the price aspect. I was actually upset that I saw so many knockoffs, but I also would not spend $1300 on costume jewelry either. I don’t buy costume jewelry from any brand because it seems pointless. For the price of a costume jewelry piece from a designer brand, you can get a fine jewelry piece from Jared. I wish they would just do fine jewelry. Costume is not luxury for a luxury brand.
@@emajjamarie For sure, you can get way more bang for your buck! I see so many pieces of costume jewelry (cough, Chanel) with missing rhinestones, etc after minimal wear.
Something about bubblegum pink always strikes me as Pepto Bismol, so I don’t think I could ever rock anything in that particular pink. If I’m going pink, it’s electric hot Barbie pink.
Possibly they're silver plated. I mean yes silver is cheap but not that cheap. Just letting you know for your care and maintenance purposes. I mean if they're a small version I guess it's possible they're that cheap. But if they're the same size as the originals. I don't see it for less than 40 or 50 especially for sterling silver there are other mixes of silver that could be cheaper but sterling silver is quite standardized.
@@dragamboazulinqiacupuntura122 Mass produced, very light and they have visible seam on the inside. Also, I live in Central Europe. Here silver really is THAT cheap. There is a huge markup for brands from shopping centres with lavish packaging, but we have a lot of small companies with singular stores near our "wallmarts" that sell high quality but very cheap silver jewelry.

I think the Loro Piana L19 is the perfect example of people buying into the hype of brand. I’m shocked it became so popular because for me it just looks like a cute pouch you can get in a random leather goods store. I actually think some kind of logo would have actually added some zing to it weirdly enough.

I had the Chanel Ballet flats (3 years old), MiuMiu ballets With belts and ribbons (7 years old), Chloe Lauren Flats (5 years old), Bottega Ballet flats (3 years old) Gucci Baby Horsebit flats (3 years old) and the Gucci interlaced GG Flats (3 years old) and I sent them off to a consignment store. Everything sold except the Gucci flats! Still hoping they sell but I do love the baby Horsebit design; they just slip at the heel on me. So happy they've gone from my wardrobe, they were hardly worn! 👏🏻
Same with the bottega earrings … won’t lie I picked up a pair on Amazon for 12.99 and I’d be willing to bet they will have the same longevity as the real ones 😭

I really appreciate you Cass, you know your taste and you're ride or due with it! I realize that I prefer the "if you know, you know" thing. I tried with the logos but it makes me feel insecure. I take the underground and quite frankly I've had to hide my Chanel or Dior under my coat or with my hands in the past. In defense of the Bottega earrings, they are actually made from precious metals. The silver earrings are sterling silver and the gold is sterling silver with 18k gold plating. I still bought the dupes from Amazon 😂, but I just wanted to clarify.
I love love love looooove the Bottega earrings but the main reason I didn't get them is that custom jelwery (specially when it has brass and zinc) gives me THE WORST SKIN REACTIONS 🙃 and it intensifies by 10000 if that is on my ears, so they were a no for me until I found a 25€ dupe that was 18k gold vermeil xD
I really wanted the mochi vernis nano speedy but oof I cannot imagine it aging well enough. Vachetta handles AND vernis leather. Both materials that have to be babied 🤡😗👀 I’ll settle with my stardust pink nano speedy lol

MY SA offered to sell and send me the new chanel kelly - the handles just remind me of what the lady dior bags are like with the weird - i can't even describe them but those thick stiff handles - am I wrong here? My boutique is in another state, so my Chanel purchases are sent to me unless I go in to by a classic

I wish I’d seen the pink speedy when it came out. But my husband surprised me with a hot pink speedy 20 b with mini pink monograms. 🥰 I also liked the small Bottega earrings but thought the price was too high. I got the dupes instead.
Im glad i didnt buy the alia bag, i dont personally like the strap, its kind of bottega vibes with the lack of hardware. I really dont like how close inwards on the bag the strap is attached. I ended up getting a pink heart bag from AMBUSH which has a moredefined heart shape and I like the strap and that its more or a solid shapped bag.
that LV bag is awful. I got year ago a LV speedy monogram bag, got it in Paris and I saw nobody in the states with it, best and smartest purchase I made.
These Loro Piana L19 bags are too boring for me. The luxury is so quiet that it looks non existent, sorry. I, too, am not a fan of ballet flats. They are so unattractive on my feet. I'm also glad I didn't purchase the BV earrings, at those prices I'd go for fine jewelry.
