Tatoo's are cringe. Ppl get tattoos to be different and actually think they stand out lol... Sticking it to the "system" when in reality they have been brainwashed to accept the tattoo mainstream. They destroy their bodies with tattoos, everything against what is right. Most if not all, regret the tattoos anyway. @@jenniferw4157 or… or… we get them because we like them. It ain’t that deep. You tried to write a whole dissertation on this and make it a “one size fits all” thing when it’s really not. It can literally be as simple as we like them, they make us feel good. If we regret them later, that’s our problem and not yours. Minding your own business would work well here. If you don’t get tattoos, that’s great. If people that want/have tattoos get one, that’s their choice and that’s also great. Being on a high horse because you’re tattooed or you’re never getting tattooed is on the exact same level of cringe to most of the population.
When I was young I wanted a certain tattoo. When I was a teenager I wanted a different tattoo. In my twenties I had an urge to get more serious tattoos. As a man in my thirties I had friends who got tattoos about their wives and children and I considered that. I’m now in my fifties and I am so glad that I did not get any of these tattoos. I will die with no tattoos.
I’m 22 and I don’t want any tattoos either. I love my skin just the way it is. Mainly because I can’t decide what I want to be on my body for the rest of my life. My dad has one and I thought of getting one as a boy but not anymore. Plus they’re expensive and I’d rather spend my money on something else.
It’s graffiti of your body. It is no question a trend. The great majority of people who have tattoos for over a decade have regrets. That is the reality. I’m so glad I never got a tattoo but then again I also don’t draw on my furniture
J V not a physical weakness but a personality weakness. Because why do you need a tattoo to express yourself, shouldn’t you be able to express yourself through your personality, Confidence, self assurance instead of getting a tattoo to do that.
That's like saying everyone should wear the same clothing and should not look different. So many reasons why people get tattoos other than expressing lol
its just one way to express yourself or enhance your look, the same as changing your body in any other way like working out, getting liposuction, or any cosmetic procedure lol
Tattoos are fine but remember if your Not who you want to be or able to express that, your not gonna be more after a tattoo, strong personality don't need to talk about it

@@AriaIndythe fact you replied to a 2 y/o comment shows you have issues 😂 but the point is, tattoos are just a way of conforming to the pattern of the world. It’s a need to identify outwardly, instead of looking Inwardly for God. Peace be with you.

Honestly, as someone with no tattoos or desire to get any, I perceive people with tattoos as less "fluid". You are stuck with that aesthetic for the rest of your life (unless you go through the long, expensive process of laser removal.) I'd much rather keep my canvas blank and add paint, or henna, if I do want to "adorn" my skin. I also don't agree that it is truly being "non-conformist", as you are simply conforming to a made-up style of non-conformity
You're generalizing. Sometimes tattoos can hold meaning to someone. It may hold/symbolize something important to them . There's lots of ways of looking at it.
Pit bill victim group 🙏 May peace be upon him 🙏 It’s like an offshoot cult from PETA. The apathy and fear leaves many needing to look tough or maybe that is the only way they can get tough in this prison of public school, drugging of our children by pharma companies etc. Apathy about humanity explains the dog love and inability to love anything else. If they can get their rebellion worked out, it can all mean something good. However, it’s not enough to just rebel, you need understanding. While I understand and empathize with the sentiment, tattoos are not necessary for rebellion against the luciferian tyranny and the trend mongers make it all the more confusing.
Not all people love dogs. Only dog owners say that people who don't like dogs are narcicissts. I hate children, I don't like most dogs. I am a horse person.
@@HeedAndSucceed wow crazy I have 3 tats big ones wait I looked at your channel you seem to be very over weight you need to get on a diet and loose that weight you look gross
Tats used to be earned as a rite of passage, or were used by military, and gangs. Now, for the most part they have no meaning. Pretty pathetic that they have to get them to try and make themselves more interesting.
None of my tattoo's are for other people but are for myself. They all have been designed by me and each have a different meaning behind them and represent an aspect of my life. Whether it is my zebra tattoo which is the symbol used to represent my disability or the butterfly in memory of my deceased best friend. But still tattoo's should never be taken likely and is something you seriously need to think about before going ahead.
You say you got the tattoos for yourself, not others.- Ironically you're the only person who can't see them as they are!! (unless you got them done mirror image)...
It’s really not too hard to understand. They are adornments. People have been adorning their bodies with artistic and creative things since the dawn of time, like jewelry. There permanency and how other people wouldn’t dare get a tattoo because of that makes it alluring to some. Otherwise it’s decoration.
I don't have any but, it's in my culture (pre European) here in Aotearoa/New Zealand. It signifies rank, status, and tribal affiliations. It was banned (like many other practices) by the english and has had a massive resurgence over the past 20-30yrs which, is awesome to see, even better when non Maori get them too 😊
Three main reasons...1 Inability to express themselves as a human being (read: very poor communication skills). 2 Herd mentality or conformism. 3 Complete lack of understanding of the role of art in human evolution.
I truly don’t understand the hate against tattoos. I suppose it depends on the specific tattoos If you are judging someone’s ability to make good choices etc. but I am 24 now, and I told myself that I would wait until 25 to get tattoos. (I wanted tattoos and was extremely interested and intrigued by them since 15) I see well done tattoos as amazing art that can enhance someone’s look. I’ve always loved how they look on men and on women. It makes me feel this person is more of a free spirit, more artistic, and I just feel so drawn to having them on me as well. I’ve been saving artists and planning them for the last few years. I think you should consider style, color/black and grey, placement etc and choose things you either find beautiful or meaningful personally (not relating to partners etc that can be fleeting.)
People are insecure and hate anything against the norm. We live in a very shallow world full of sheep that feel entitled to treat you poorly because the group masses have a unwritten law that they can treat you bad because you want to be yourself and express yourself how you want. The judgments and narrow mindedness is off the charts. I think they are just insecure and envious that they don't have the courage to do the same and are so unsure of doing something so long term permanent. People love to hate though all while they themselves will go out and buy all these expensive clothes and jewelery to show off to their fake friends it's a clown show
To me a tattoo on someone just says, look at me, I’m a poser and probably a narcissist, which is probably why they’re so popular these days, narcissism if very abundant.
I do not like tattoos. Therefore, I do not have any. I think they are ugly. I feel uncomfortable around people that have them, especially if they have a lot of them. Don't bother replying and telling me I'm a jerk. I really don't care what you think.
Tattoos are for people who feel insignificant because there is literally nothing special about them. This increases their feelings of self worth but it is only superficial . There is no virtue in putting graffiti on your body.
I think it is more to do with attracting attention. People who did not get enough attention when they were younger and feel they were neglected or didn't get enough attention as they wanted, decide to get tattoos. It's mainly about attention seeking I think. There are those who do see it as art etc, but the majority want attention.
It's not just about the attention - Ppl get tattoos to be different and actually think they stand out lol... A lot of tattoos look awesome imo, but often when I see people with outlandish tattoos it just makes me realize how HARD they’re trying to affect the way others “see” them.
I have 4 myself and am getting a chestpiece soon, I tend to agree most tattoos do look awesome, and yes there are some weird people who have outlandish designs that make no sense.
As a young person (20) covered in tattoos this is my perspective. I don’t get tattoos for anybody besides myself. My tattoos tell my story in my own personal way that only I know. For me tattoos serve as a reminder of what I’ve gone through and that I always need to do better

One of the few things my Dad preached about. He got one when he was a teenager and it got infected. The result was a large, thick keloid scar on his arm. He’d occasionally point at it while telling me not to ever get a tattoo. Very effective method for me not to get one.
@Victor Joseph You don't know women very well if you think we don't just randomly apply makeup because its fun and it looks nice. Some of the best makeup I've done on myself was just for sitting and home and enjoying.
it's simple. To be like everyone else. This wasn't a thing in the 80's and 90's. The people getting tattoos now would have been afraid to do it back then.
I see having tattoos alot. It's hard to find someone that isn't. My opinion is they think they need one to fit in, be trendy or they possibly have low self esteem. Alot of people also regret getting something permanent like a tattoo. Here's one way to think about this. Since people hate labels so much and yet people still go to the effort to physically and permanently label themselves? Not to mention how expensive it is. Here's an idea, instead of tattooing yourself how about you commission an artist or tattooist to create a piece of art you can put somewhere. If you get tired of it you can resell it possibly for a profit. Can't do that with a tattoo!
I have 4 tattoos currently and I'm going to get a chestpiece soon, I prefer my artist design it since I lack creativity. I mention a subject or something I'd like, he comes up with multiple sketches and keeps working until I find something I'm satisfied with. Often times drawing your own stuff has more meaning sure, but if you have a lack of drawing talent like me you're sure to end up with a blob of sorts.

I get tattoos for me and myself only. Permanent marks of a message, or a part of me and myself. Of course I think they’re pretty, I’m also an artistic person. If I get a tattoo it is because it has a signification, a story, an emotion; it’s an expression of oneself. What I do with my body is mine only and not anyone else’s business. I don’t want big tattoos, I just want small ones, dainty and delicate ones because they represent myself. I’m not a loud person I don’t like the attention I love nature and plants and flowers So that’s what they are for me But for some others it’s to express their inner, bigger self. They have a lot to express; they want to share it but not scream it. And it’s great too Any tattoo that makes you feel happy and more like yourself is good and it’s not anyone else’s opinion. If you want one, get it not because it’s a trend but because YOU want it.
This was pathetic. Usually the underlying items is lack of confidence more than anything else. I know a lot of folks that were war veterans or very accomplished people with tattoos but you still see the lack of confidence in those individuals. You’d be surprised how unsure people are of themselves.
Yeah I still don't understand why people get tattoos. It's weird because it's like, people get tattoos to express a specific part of themselves, an interest, loved ones, etc. It's almost like advertising a part of your life so if a stranger comes up to you, they can ask about your tattoo and that's an easy in for you to talk about yourself and get them to know you and build a relationship together as friends. But on your body. People wear band shirts for this same reason, it's advertising and interest so a stranger on the street who also likes that band may cone up to you to talk about it and you strike a friendship. But you take off that t-shirt, you don't wear it all the time like tattoos. It's strange to me someone would get for example a Marvel Endgame tatoo. Like they put this "talking point" on their bodies, forever. Forever garnering questions and comments about it. It becomes a part of your life, permanently. A t-shirt advertising Marvel you take off, it doesn't become a part of your life. I could go on about other tattoos designs express an aesthetic or desired to be connected to certain qualities like "edgy" or "outdoorsy" etc but this comment is already too long.
@Someguy136 I agree. I will say, the one type of tattoo I really respect though now that I think of it, are memorial ones. It's a wonderful way to keep their memory alive by not only keeping them in your thoughts so you may talk about them more with others, it can be a talking point and way of bringing them up in a way to new people instead of a less-organic more difficult way. It might not be the most healthy way to cope but I do respect those with tattoos like that.
Tattoos are trashy. Nothing unique because any moron can get one. Just a trend and people follow trends like sheep. Just like watching the new drama on tv or that clothing with some popular brand logo.
I have many tattoos. The reason why is because I aways liked them on other people in my life. My mother had tattoos. My father had tattoos. Family friends had them and I always liked them. I went with my mom to a tattoo parlor when I was a kid. I never saw them as a way to communicate, i never saw them as prison art. I just saw it as wearing earrings. Or a necklace. Its body art
Here is something that people who get tattoos should know. Many people you show your new tattoo to may not really like it. They may say stuff like cool, neat, awesome or something positive. They are just being nice. If you take note they don't have any tattoos. I say how cool or how beautiful it looks which is true.

I don't have tattoos, any of them. I do have an idea for a tattoo for myself (and that would be a really big tattoo for my left chest and arm), however, it is just a plain idea, I don't feel literally any need of having it. There are also three other things that definitely stop me from getting it and the experience that made me sure I don't want to have one. -It feels scary to me, that I'll have something permanently on my skin, that I couldn't get rid of. It is some kind of a feeling that gives me very uncomfortable vibes. So uncomfortable that I'm sure there is no discussion about me getting a tattoo unless there would be some technology, that would allow to "turn it off" haha. -This one is probably weird, I have never heard anything like that from anyone but - it makes me feel VERY uncomfortable, to think about that my tattoo would make me recognizable in certain way. I do value very much a possibility of being much more anonymous if I prefer to, by not having any tattoos that could draw unnecessary attention whole time. If I'd want to get more attention, I can regulate it better trough clothing or car I'm driving, but if I want to just calmly live my life, I am able to be a "grey man". Tattoo in a visible place makes it much more difficult, sometimes probably impossible. -I haven't found so far any actual, science-proven benefits of having a tattoo, which makes them appear kind of pointless and worthless to me in term of owning one. It doesn't make sense to me to I have one from a purely rational and scientific point of view. -Last but not least, I did have a dream about having a quite fresh, VERY WELL MADE tattoo on the inner side of my left forearm. It was seriously well made tattoo. I was looking at it and I started to have thoughts "Do I really need it? Did I actually want to have it...". More and more questions where appearing in my thoughts in that dream and the feeling of regret was rising faster and faster, till the point where I've woke up kind of scared and immediately looked at my forearm. The relief I had seeing it without that tattoo was so good, that I've understood clearly, it is not a thing for me. I want to add, that I do respect tattoos and people with them, I am able to appreciate their aesthetics and quality if it is on a high level and the topic itself is very interesting. It takes tons of skill and experience to be top-level tattoo artist for sure, I also like certain types of tattoos on people and I'm not afraid to compliment them if I find it the right thing to do. It is just not a thing for me, but if someone likes it, up to them. I will be most likely either neutral or positive about it.
Tattoos are a risk, dont get me wrong, tattoos can be a great self motivation in terms of values, the very origin of tattoos comes from tribes that used tattoos not as a form of self expression but self discipline, some tattoos are negative some are positive in many different ways, but I would assume the glorification of self expression is a self destructive practice not in concrete certainty but in a fashion of back and forth if you will. A tattoo is as important as an educational curriculum it needs to be heavily studied and calculated, while doing so building a trust bridge and understanding with the tattoo artist him/her self. The common mistake in debating the right or wrong of the tattoo comes down to human value, if you can Express human value with a positive message to the world and younger generations then nothing wrong with it. If you are creating a narsacistic tattoo you will be viewed as narcissistic because it would represent a narcissistic behaviour. For example you ask anybody what the meaning of there tattoo/s are/is and you encounter a response somewhere along the lines of... it has no meaning I'm just expressing myself' what that person is telling in reality and in most cases and by the way, doesn't realise, is that its completely from a self obsessed mindset, now there are many self obsessed individuals in the world but going down the root to alienate people that made some bad decisions is also not the right thing to do because that displays in present time, that the person with a stereotypical judgement of the tattoo displays exactly what they seem to criticize negatively about the tattoo/tattooee, which is also an in many cases far more self obsessed mindset to that of the tattooee. if you are to view the matter in fact, the reality is that you come to the conclusion that bad tatoos or not, tattoos are actually a good tool for us to study certain parts of present human evolution. They are scripts and art of wisdom not platforms for characters. What we need is more moral restrictions from tattoo artists themselves. Dont ever go to a tattoo artist that dosnt understand what I have just shared here. Tattoos are an identity, a permanent one for the most part, so make sure it's something that means more than just your sex appeal or self expression because just those two traits together could be very toxic and completely destroy healthy and happy values. Fundamental meaning =👍 Any other meaning = non essential risk.
@@klassicjammer7322 I mean tattoos are permanent and it's gonna leave some scars when they try to remove so I guess they have no choice but to defend it to death
I think the whole thing has to be some kind of signaling mechanism that you are "in the know" or "of the street" or "down to earth". To me it definitely has some dark associations to "being tainted", "marked", "not pure" and also I think it signals a "loss of innocence". It also has connotations of being working class or of low culture. Also, just because a lawyer gets a tattoo doesn't mean he doesn't have an uncultured mentality or a working class background. In this case this would be a kind of nostalgic "remember where you come from" spiel. Because it's related to the working class, it's also usually more likely in left wing circles who want to signal that they are "working class".
That was a very long winded way of saying that you’re a classist individual with superficial values on an individual’s predisposition to art and their idea of how they should portray themselves. If you’re going to label lawyers, scientists, doctors, business executives etc and working class because they have tattoos then you may want to have stronger premise.
@@DTGMRunsThere's a difference between being classist, and acknowledging people belong to classes. The first thinks your class is all that you are, while the second merely realises that you belong to a class. I don't discriminate based on class, but I realize classes exist. Denying it would be foolish instead. But I do appreciate you assumption that I'm a bad person. I probably am :) I'd say the superficial ones are people who put tattoos on themselves instead of acquiring the character they advertise. There's a difference between telling people who you are, and embodying what you are. The latter group has no need of tattoos. At the same time the tricky thing about tattoos that even after you have no need of them, you will still have them. Many people continue to get new tattoos as an update of their mentality. Maybe I just never found a good enough thing ot tattoo myself for my whole life. I represent myself anyways, felt no need to make additional ways of expression on my skin.

I’m a guy with some tattoos but it was never for intimidation. I have a few with deep meaning like family loss or my love of something. Never a person’s name but some are just visually cool. Will i regret a few in the future? Probably. But I think they are an expression at certain points of life. Some of the nicest and most genuine people I’ve met have them. And a lot of us are prone to anxiety for some reason. As long as it doesn’t offend anyone like a Nazi symbol or something, who cares…
Lmaoooo y'all are acting like everyone who has a tattoo has hundreds of them. This video keeps showing people with sleeves, but most people only have small tats, most of the time they only have only one. I've read some people say we want attention? We're not happy with our skin? Mine's literally invisible unless I'm naked, arms raised up, what attention am I seeking? How about tats like a smiley in between our fingers? How about tats behind the ear? Tats on the hips? Those are as common as arm tats and they are invisible unless the person shows it, how's that seeking attention?
I’d say it was because they don’t appreciate the beauty of their skin in its natural state. They aren’t happy with themselves in some way or want attention. Or both. Nothing uglier than a woman covered in tattoos.
I actually appriciate the untattooed parts of my body even more since I have tattoos. They made me connect with my body more due to the pain when they did it and that my attention is drawn to the tattoos. I don't think it is healthy to judge something that you haven't tried yet. But even if you tried something that doesn't mean everybody else had the same experience like you did. I don't give a shit what people think but deep inside I wish there were less people like many of the commeners under this viedo. I don't wish them to die I just wish them to wake up.
The way I see tattoos, I would be disturbed af to take something on my skin that would be there literally forever. And what if after a couple of months I get bored of it and want to get it removed? I'd rather keep my skin clean.
In a free country we should be able to confidently and courageously express ourselves with our natural forms of expression. I like and believe in so many things that my visible body couldn't possibly reflect them all. I've also been known to change my mind which is easier than editing my body art! To me it's a form of rebellion against conformity. I've known too many people that regret what they did to their bodies when they were young.
Not to be rude, but I kind of disagree. I feel people today just get tattoos to look cool or just because. Like it's a necessity. A lot of people I know have tattoos.
