Let the Rabbi explain Jewish law. Why do so many people commenting think they know better than him? Jewish people are allowed to explain Jewish law without outsiders insisting they're wrong. Do people tell Muslims they are wrong about Islam? Do people tell christians what christianity teaches? Why the double standard? Let the Jews be free to explain and practice their own religion.

I am of of Swedish and English extraction but I don't really care about who my ancestors were in terms of my sense of belonging...I feel like an international citizen, and speak 3 langues and have lived and studied in three different countries and languages. It must be a warm and reassuring feeling to be part of a group, clan or community with shared values, goals an ways of living. Very interesting about the blue and white on the Israeli flag (there being more white than blue and if I understand him correctly this symbolizes that there are many things still to strive for) I wonder what this rabbi things about the plight of the Palestinians for all men, women and children dererve to be treated with dignity and respect...i hope that a peaceful solution will be found that allows all to live in harmony.

The colour blue is fairly new because it could not be found in natural pigments. Therefore the colour was blue was often decribed as green in old books. When was the blue thread thingy introduced?
@Lagolop

Here's a question that is basically a non-issue but still: why do some European-descent Jews (MC Serch, Howie Mandel, etc) have natural hair that's almost like that of a black person? a "Jewfro" some of them call it.
@pandate2036
@pandate2036 Год назад
I can't say for certain but I can give you my best guess, being someone who also has a "Jewfro". Judaism encourages marriage within the religion, and many would try to discourage people who want to marry outside of the religion. This is less the case now, but it certainly used to be that way. I think this would lead to some things being exaggerated, due to the smaller gene pool. This could be seen with curly hair, and also with genetic diseases that are more prominent amongst Jews, for example Tay-Sachs disease.

The Law is contrary to us. It cannot take away sin. The very fact that you have to "try" to be good proves you aren't! If there was a law that could give righteousness, verily righteousness would have been by the law. But Jesus Christ fulfilled the law and ended up being crucified, buried and raised up as the ultimate sacrifice for sin; first for Israel and the Kingdom of God, to fulfill the promises to the fathers. But since Israel rejected Jesus as Messiah, He put the kingdom on hold and began saving ALL by grace through faith WITHOUT the law of Moses! The law of Moses cannot save anyone today because Israel rejected Whom Moses wrote about!

Moreover, by conceptualizing God, he holds the infinity of God within the human conception. This is a challenge to the omnipresent God. Second, the God of Israel never allowed himself to be an image of the nation of Israel. However, as the image of the god who summoned him from Egypt for themselves under Mount Sinai was made into a golden image of a bull, this time he drew the concept of God in a strange form. Is it idolatry or what? The way the Jews tried to rationalize the Kabbalah and the Sephiroth tree was the same as the way the Roman Catholics introduced pagan rituals into their churches. Judaism doesn’t believe in hell in that way. It’s not as punitive of a religion

Definately not! This is the empowerment of a mitzvah, not an obligation in fact. The people who raise do so out of a desire to keep a mitzvah in the best possible way

Rastafarian have stuck on woolen hair and never wash hair out of laziness and they just smoke weed all day. So they are not religious in any way.

Who is the messiah ? Proverbs 30:4 4Who has gone up to heaven and come down? Whose hands have gathered up the wind? Who has wrapped up the waters in a cloak? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is his name, and what is the name of his son? Surely you know!

By the way he speaks he seems like an intelligent and educated person; how can he not see that these beliefs are ridiculous and backwards. Religion is turning intelligent people to children, it is so sad.

These were commands from God more than 3,000 years ago. However, there are traditional Jews who believe these commands are still relevant in today's world.

Considering that the concept of a god is non-falsifiable, and therefore your belief in a lack of a god or need for organized religion is nothing more than a belief the same as theirs, it is your intolerance of others' beliefs that is sad here.
