Princess Haya is sister of King Abdullah of Jordan, as opposed to some of the other wives who did not have that kind of connections, and that surely played a role on her succesful escape to the UK, as her brother protects her and gave her a diplomatic position so she could get a resident visa.

For the young man who was not offically recognized by his father because his mother was a Christian and he grew up with his mom, this is not such a bad thing. If he had grown up with his father he might be dead or threatened in some way.......The Dubai ruler may have all this money but that doesn't mean his children have it and many he treats terribly......What is the use in having money if you don't have freedom?

Haya is a real royal from the kingdom of Jordan, is very educated, has strong ties to the British Royal family, that is why she used the Royal high court for divorce, and made the best deal for her divorce! She was very smart and kept her children.

I personally think the Greek Woman was the smartest. She made it clear she was not relying on his finances, to raise her daughter. She gave her daughter freedom to choose as well. It appears his most trusted wife, "Hind bin Maktoum" was most familiar with cultural expectations. This appears to be a very important factor. I'm fairly certain there are many obligations involved with marrying at this level. I doubt that any of these women were not aware of them.

Oh so thankful that I grew up In Australia with the freedom to choose who I married and whether I could drive or travel alone. I probably would have been stoned to death as a teenager for my rebellious behaviour and certainly would never have married anyone of my parents choosing, let alone tolerate any interference from them. Princess Latifa was tortured in prison after being forcibly returned. Another daughter is believed to have been killed. The fate of these two stepdaughters is what made Princess Haya suspicious. She is a beautiful woman and deserves much better.

He might have the money and power in a material world, but he lacks of emotions which is the most important thing. I was sitting outside a bar restaurant in Dubai in the Burjuman, I was telling the service that his wife and daughter escaped to London, a table further i saw two man in perfect suites standing up, they didn't finished they Pepsi Cola, and in silent they leave the place, I remember the words: don't say anything about the Sjah and his family, also notting about Allah, in Dubai they put you in jail for it, so I was leaving that place so quick as possible!

I met Princess Latifa, the first daughter of the King of Saudi Arabia in the 1990s, a couple of time when I worked for a famous photographer in Los Angeles. She came in twice. The first time one of her security detail came into my office and asked me if I could get him a glass of water (he was stationed outside), and I said, Yes, and opened the door to the studio, and told him, the water dispenser was right inside the door. He explained that he isn't allowed to be in the same room with the Princess. Oh! I didn't know. So, I got him the water and told him if he needed anything at all, to please come to me and I will make sure he has it. We hired someone to do her hair and makeup, and she had a handheld mirror and she would look at me through it. When it was time for me to leave, as I had a school course I was taking, she smiled and waved to me through the mirror, and I waved back. She was very pretty. A little on the plump side, but nonetheless she was very pretty. She was sweet, but at the same time, she was like a spoiled child, but never rude. The second time she came for a photo shoot, she brought her two kids. This time, there were security in the studio, even though she was there, I believe it was because they were in charge of making sure the children were safe. Those little boys were adorable, but spoiled rotten, and they were destroying some of the giant rolls of paper that are used as backdrops and on the floor, and no one said anything to them about it. No one said, NO! Not the guards, not their Mother, no one. Little terrors. After that second photo shoot, Princess Latifa took the hair/makeup women we had hired for her photoshoot. She took her on her emerald green Boeing 747 for a couple of months and traveled far and wide with her. When she returned her to Los Angeles, the makeup woman came to tell us about her trip. The Princess hired her for that entire time, paid her rate for the entire time they were gone! The Princess wanted her to teach her how to do her own makeup, which she did. Later, I read that she had purchased this historic home in Italy, and had to sign something stating she would leave the home as it is and not make any major changes to alter its appearance or the style, in order to keep its historic value, which she agreed. Years later I tried to see if I could find a picture of her from that photo shoot, but was unable, and then discovered that she had died, but have been unable to find out how. There is a mosque named after her in Riyadh now. It's lovely. I was sad, and posted on a page associated with the mosque, asking if anyone knows how she died, because I had known her and wanted to know, and then I wrote something very kind about her hoping someone would know and tell me. No word. Latifa bint Fahd Al Saud (Arabic: لطيفة بنت فهد آل سعود; 1959 - December 2013) was a member of the Saudi royal family, House of Saud. She was one of King Fahd's children.[1] Princess Latifa was the eldest daughter of King Fahd and Al Anoud bint Abdulaziz bin Musaed Al Jiluwi. The 2nd or 3rd wife exactly knew what they were getting into, but anyway wanted the money, so I don't think just the ruler is at fault. The women are equally responsible for getting into relationship with the ruler, despite knowing what happened to the previous wives🤷.

I do remember Sheikh Mohammed wedding vividly in the late 70s. His guests stayed at the old Hilton close to the trade centre. I was working there at the time. It's a shame, but it doesn't surprise me about his wives, that's Islam for you.
