That is not a god complex. God complex's are much more sinister and serious than thinking that people are stupid and worthless. Thats just having self confidence or being narcissistic

I don't believe in myself that much. I haven't done anything that impresses me. Not walked on water, I might float a bit in the dead sea but so does everyone if that's where the thing originates. I buy my wine at the store and tap water only from the kitchen. I would like to tap wine but haven't got the powers. How about you, can you get a Cote du Rhone from the water tap? Food, I'd be glad if I managed to catch 2 fishes but don't expect them to serve 5000 people. Who is God? So many claim they know but there is no proof, they all want me to have faith instead. I can't possibly have faith in so many people. There must be one true and the others lying, isn't that how it works? Could they all be lying, has that even happened on earth that all are wrong on something?
aDotFromTheFuture i think i read a study that said the exact opposite, that the most accurate diagnosis is to just ask them to rate how narcessistic they are from 1-10. i dont have a link though so youre going to have to take my word for it.
As the child of a narcissistic mother who runs a business, I can tell you that they do not make good leaders. They just scream at every person who does not do exactly what they want done, even if they did not tell their employee what they expected of him or her. This is why I want to get a job somewhere else...it does not matter how logical your reasoning is for doing something they do not want or like. Unless you are gushing blood and/or need to be hospitalized due to injuries, there is no excuse for not doing exactly what they expect of you, even if the narcissist themselves is incapable of doing it.
I love the concept of watching creatures like ants form their own society and blessing them with gifts and protection, I just really like being a god to them and I can't really explain why, it's just fascinating to watch

well there plenty of them as the heads / leaders of departments / businesses / institutions, but since are truly "intelligent" they've learned to not have that kind of attention on them and manipulate the people to focus on something else. the unfortunate truth that narcissists are also master manipulators :(

I swear these kinds of people are everywhere in college. Especially in the higher division courses. They always have to prove that they're better than everyone to the professor. Has anyone else noticed this?
The only issue I have with this diagnosis criteria is - "Doesn't see people around them as humans" but apparently values human criticism enough that it can destroy their self-worth and make them upset. I think a real god complex is one immune to all criticism and just do whatever the heck he or she wants no matter what anyone ever says.

I used to be completely nihilistic and had a severe VERY SEVERE god complex, me believing no one else was real, believing everything’s a simulation. Based on the criteria listed, that almost also describes a lot of socially awkward introverts for whom the behaviours don't come from self-interest but from an inability to figure out how social interaction works. They legitimately empathize/sympathize with others and want to be part of the group and so they try to mimic what they see but fail to grasp the nuances and thus merely look like they are full of themselves. How do you tell the difference?
Is it bad that people like this scare me? Like terrify me. i know a few people like this and we're good friends but i get really uncomfortable the second their god complex creeps out.
I will admit being a little bit narcissistic. However I will say that when someone is arrogant or displaying to much pride I see them as a lesser person.

Worse is covert narcissists, the ones who's narcissism is almost entirely unobvious to most people they interact with. The one's who create and act out a persona for themselves of being entirely normal, or even as extremely caring, selfless people. It's not until you're in a relationship with them or a family member (or even sometimes with friends) that the mask slips and you see what kind of person they really are, the kind of person who can deliberately seriously hurt people with no remorse and the absurd degree of entitlement they feel. Very skillfully manipulative, very likable, makes a great impression of everyone, doesn't at all come across as narcissistic or having a crucial part of their brain not properly function, which would be the part that makes you actually give a shit about other people. There are people frighteningly good at acting like they care so much about other people, that they are so selfless and empathetic, while inside their mind it's the exact opposite - They can so coldly and deliberately hurt people, and don't give a shit about it, or even specifically want to hurt them, either because they enjoy it, or because they want a certain result. For some narcissists, being able to hurt someone so severely feels good, because it allows them to feel like they are that big of a deal, that they have that much influence over people. Be aware of people like this. There's no "they couldn't have done that, they're so kind/selfless/volunteer all the time/donate a lot to charity/are so helpful/etc!" Cause there are people who have that false persona but are complete lies. People who seem that way can be abusive, they can ruin peoples' lives, they can sexually assault and abuse people, and do so without remorse. Don't think you couldn't end up with someone like that in your life. In all likelyhood, you've meet several, or at least one, and you just never knew because you only ever saw the persona that they show to the outside world.
Lack of empathy is the scariest thing about the "god complex" I am sure there are doctors with this which is terrifying. Also, I cry for fictional characters lol, I can't imagine not caring about real people at all.
I have some of the attributes of a God complex, I have the self importance, and the lack of empathy, but none of the other attributes, I do not update my Facebook nearly at all, and I WILL not allow a picture to be taken of me until I earn the right to be remembered. I have a thirst for perfection in everything that I do, (and I will not in the slightest say that I ever come close to that end) I also say that if we believe ourselves more worthy of life than any other living thing, it is our most important responsibility to prove that we are more worthy of drawing breath
I have a friend whom I have deemed the "Self-hating Narcissist" since he constanly goes around bashing himself but god forbid you agree with any of his flaws and he ALWAYS has a story to one up you. He's better than you in every way! Even when it comes to hating him! He's just better than you at it!!
In the Human Design system their is Gate 45 which is known as the gate of the King/ Queen/CEO. If you have definition in this gate you will have this archetype dominant in your personality and it feels like you are accomplished even if you are not because it symbolises your highest unrealised potential until you self realise. There is the high masculine component and on the other side there is the little mind, the boy king. If someone is stuck in the boy king the greatest gift you can bestow upon them is to show then how the king feels when not stuck in the shadows, then they have a point of reference for becoming the benevolent king (archetypal) and express this more often until it becomes second nature. 🙏
Narcissism is a spectrum disorder...which means it *isn't* rare...we all have it, to some extent, it just isn't considered a disorder, until it becomes a problem. ;-)
I find it rather interesting that someone with a god complex is characterized as having little empathy among all the other qualities with which we consider negative. We look down on people who have these qualities yet so many people worship gods who have these qualities and consider them positive thing.
Jokes aside. If I don't relay on other people for admiration because I think that relaying on others when seeking happiness is dumb, is that better or worse?
