Great video, as always, Buckin! I don't comment very much, but I thoroughly enjoy the content you make. About two months ago, I showed my grandfather your channel. He will be 85 on July 4th and still operates his small engine repair shop that he opened in 1964. So every day at lunch we watch one of your videos. And while doing so, he talks about being a little boy helping his grandfather skid logs with a team of Clydesdale horses to feed his steam powered saw mill. My grandfather also still cuts and splits all his own fire wood. He said I'll find him dead at the wood pile saw in hand when he's ready to go. It's what keeps him young at heart. Cheers, Buckin!
God bless, Buckin. You're a true friend to us all. I would love to share more of my life with you in return. I know there's many of us and one of you so that makes it a little tough. I'm about to close on my first house in years, with a shop, and as soon as i looked at it i knew it was right, no question. God gave me the gift of carpentry and mechanical skills and i can't wait to put them to use on my new property. I've got my filing dialed in, thanks to you.
I enjoy your videos and the messages that you give. Theres that old saying: You can lead a horse to water but you cant make it drink. I got sober 3yrs ago and best thing i ever did. Im enjoying life 1 day at a time.
Hi mr buckin. I just wanted to say thank you for posting this video today because you said the word inspiration then all the pieces started to fall in line i have lost my inspiration and lost connection to my inner soul and peace and must find it again then and only then will i ever truly be myself again until then wish me the best and I will keep you updated
Church has a firewood ministry , which includes bucking logs to a certain firewood length and also dropping some firewood trees , and giving that firewood to the people who can't afford to buy firewood !
Just started a new job and was praying for a bunch of things I needed that I thought had a very small chance. Just found out yesterday almost every thing I prayed for was answered 🙏. Wow, I’ve been trying really hard lately to live the way Jesus teaches us to, it’s been very difficult but I’ve pushed through and now this. He is good, thank you lord.
It ALL points up☝️☝️🙏🙏brother!! Glad your listening to it😊😊❤❤ you are spot on about the three things we need, it's a 10,10,10 for me right now brother, but it has not always been a walk in the park😊 just keep listening, I'd say your on track💪💪lookin good out there brother, nice cutting, and that saw....😮😮😮WOWZAS!!! much love from the Barth family❤❤
One of the better videos in a long list of great videos I've seen from you Buckin! Strong message and valuable techniques on display, thank you brother!
Love the fire in the spirit of you Buckin. Its truly contagious thats the best part. Alot of us need to catch that fire from you brother. Thank you brother, we are changing the world together ❤️
Yew trees are in fact a collection of all of these parallel vertical limbs, that extend up into the air without any changes of direction. It's kind of the opposite to an ash tree, which is always doing strange things and venturing out sideways in every direction. We don't have enough maple wood in this part of the world, but it's interesting to see how maple wood grows in that way.
The Husqvarna 585 saw is a bit like what you describe. I've run the 372 and 585 back and forth a good bit now to compare them. And I cut a couple of feet of hardwood this evening using a 585, where I knew the chain had gone dullish. I didn't put pressure or lean on the saw, and I could see interestingly that the 24 inch chain and bar was making pretty good chips. That wouldn't have happened with the 372, and the 372 is still a strong piece of kit. I wouldn't endorse using duller chain on saws, and it was just to give the tool a quick start up. But it did surprise me, because I've had the same 24 inch bar on all the tools now for a bit, to get a like for like comparison. I wasn't pleasantly surprised how much work an old 365 even could do with it's 24 inch chain and bar. The hurdle though with those lighter tools, is not being able to work them for long enough, before you have to rest tgem up a bit.
I love when you give us these talks Buckin, we like when you get "goofy" as the early morning wind hits the burning stump. Don't get any better! We spend so much time going outward in our lives, and to go inward to that early child energy or intuition is exactly what all of us need in our fast paced western culture. Heal on folks!
Thank you for the messages of sharing and caring. And also as you said being a bit selfish; there's nothing wrong with some self-help, some therapy with the chainsaw. Superb video Buckin', I'm so happy to be here to learn.
Leading by example. Buckin, as always your message is powerful to me and I’m 58 years old, not a spring chicken. The saying about old dogs and new tricks is bull baloney. Stay strong friends. 💪
Good morning buckin I Watched this video again this morning, particularly the last two minutes fact I replayed it about three times, those are some powerful words. There are people in my life that need to hear your Powerful, heartfelt words,. Maybe you can put it in a short that would be easier to share. Thank you.
Great content as usual Mr. Billy Ray, Don't know if Dr. Phil is syndicated up your way,but he needs to have you as a guest on his show! Perspective of a student enrolled@ H. K. U.( HARD KNOCK UNIVERSITY) We never graduate from the school of life until our day of passing.Love& Thanks for all that you, family & positive input from comments of BBR'S ARMY,as well as random viewers that leave posts.😀
Love it!! THANKS Billy Ray! I especially loved your words beginning at 1:15 about connecting with the Man Upstairs. I totally agree with it all. I love hearing your perspective on faith and why it matters.
Man I tried to win that husky.. would’ve been perfect. I need to drop a couple 60’ pines for my father. I’ll use my 20+ year old stihl 270 20” ;). It’ll work but not at good. And I will hand file it as needed. I love watching your videos so much Buckin. So dang humble……
I want to meet you! I really wish, I could meet, and just pick your brain on things. Oh, and go buck some trees for people. That would actually be an amazing vacation.
Can you please explain the difference between conventional versus undercut. Why do people cut down to cut their face versus cutting up? If I am asking the question correctly.
I really enjoyed the video but your message to or about men really hit me because it's true. We all have our own reasons and our own fears and sometimes they're hard to face without anyone else around or so it seems. Thankfully I have managed to overcome some if not most of mine but I'm still on the loose at all of em! One at a time perhaps but I to will get there!
thiis older gentalman from nova scotia . in todays viedo . i get to see the advantage of the hombolt cutt thanks . in what a novia scotian would concider to be larger wood ,... this is probly why this cut not common in n s thanks Boss

You are right . He did give us free will , we don't have to believe . Nice the way you dropped those three trees . I could tell you had a grind . Your pile of chip tells a story . Seeya
I don’t have to go to the five o’clock at St. Andrews tonight. For the new guy its make a decision. The old timers say Made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of God as we understood Him. Pass tense already done it for real.
Yeah! BROTHER!!! I feel ya!!! Thanks for ALL the healthy reminders🙂 looking good my RU-vid spirit Dad❤ Truely I need those reminders. You do that with snap n pull💪 Thanks for you 👍
Buckin love the message. Like how you explained it Mental, physical, and Spiritual. I'm on a path myself. The Saw rips right through those Trees with that square grind. I really like the encouragement to follow your Heart.Dont listen to others. Pure Gold. Love your Channel.
The serenity prayer is a very great mantra 😁🥳 Ive even said it a few times throughout the years 🥳🫶 just to help me get stronger in mind body and spirit 😎🥰🥰🥰🥰 so hopefully the powers of the universe will come to help me to stay level minded 😁 I’ve even got a massive thunderstorm of a answer in the past when things were overwhelming 😱 I would love to send you a present from Ireland 🇮🇪 to thank you for your great wisdom and input on your channel 🥰🥳🫶
Great video / Sermon! I really needed to hear this today. I'm working out of town in the San Francisco Bay Area and feel a bit lost in this part of the world. Not in what I do for my job, but in the masses of this area. I jumped on here to get some direction and feel more at home and this was what was first to pop up to play. THANKS!
@@BuckinBillyRaySmith I don't feel alone at all - I don't like the big city no matter where it is. I probably should have said more out of place than lost. Too many people and not enough space. God Bless
@@BuckinBillyRaySmith Bill ! Thanks for the personal reply but you've missed the point haven't you? How to chop (or bowsaw or whatever) safely when you can't do a bore cut? The barberchair threat still exists doesn't it/wouldn't it?
hey Billy! nice wood! but why do you call it hard wood? and why cut down so much for 3 or 4 redwoods? does it need that much for good growth? no criticism, but I would like to enrich knowledge... Nice work again buddy!! Greetings Kristof Belgium
