I have a question about the last tree in the video: will long branches work to thicken the apex? Or these branches no longer thicken as much after bending?
As you lengthen the branches, the crown of the tree will become thicker. The reason for bending the branches is to allow them to attach to the trunk in the spring.
@@bonsai-shinshi Yes, I understood that. The question is a little different. Will the branch thicken just as effectively after grafting? My bonsai has a sacrificial branch at the top for thickening, but I want to attach it to the trunk.
