For me, trying to remove pubic hair always resulted in skin rashes and discomfort, followed by the discomfort of the stubbly hair as it grows back. Thank god I stopped that nonsense years ago.

I do not feel that the disclaimer at the beginning of this video is justified. If there is someone who should watch this video it's the kids. This tabu on sexual education is a bit daft, and it is actually damaging the sexual development of teenagers.

People get infections after shaving because they dont do it right!You have to take care off the skin after shaving and you dont get infections.And use proper blades and not just any blade,no only the good ones prevent much damage to the skin.

The guy with booger kids (5-12) should be able to have good learning on sex ed, about puberty, everything literally its good to know hygene and proctection, why you have it , and comfort when going through this process (anyone should!) .I agree little little kids 1-7 shouldnt know about sex but once they hit 9-10 they deserve to have the basic knowledge ! It can really improve their future and being able to know things can help them lots when growing up and its extremely comforting knowing that you arent alone through this process and you arent bad or disgusting for having body changes. Please normalize being informed! And it isnt taboo learning about the things and changes we go through.

First: Some parents may be uncomfortable with the topic being introduced to their children. Younger viewers, I would imagine, is a term that applies to those who aren't even about to hit puberty, so putting warning there is a non-issue. The warning isn't hurting anyone. Second: Neither me nor my girlfriend cared about pubic hair when we were dating, and she would shave occasionally but I never required that of her. I've met a lot of people who practically freak out about it though. It's like people have a phobia of hair.

When people shave, it start to itch when it grows and people tend to scratch, it leaves the skin red and sensitive. I stopped shaving both my armpits and my groin area because of it, never again did i deal with intense itching and pain, and blisters. Shaving is a big no for me.

As a man, I've never been a big fan of my pubic hair. I shave my chest as much as possible, and I use hair removal creams for down below on a regular basis. I like it like that, it feels better, it looks better. If I had the money, I probably would go for laser hair removal.

Hair cross-section is not a circle. At least not for all races. Asians have a roundish cross-section - that's why they have straight hair, that can be difficult to style. Black people have a flattened oval cross-section - that's why they have very curly hair. Europeans' hair is the combination of the two. We have a kind of rounded-triangle cross-section and it varies greatly from person to person. Also our hair is much finer, than the other two, about half the diameter of the other two. That's why Europeans have lots of various hair styles.

He didn’t spoke about trimming. It’s only if you completely remove it from above your skin. Trimming it doesn’t affect it much, like cutting your nails and other hair. Or I hope so for you, it would be horrible to have skin problems when you go to the hair dresser. As pubic hair are in a moist area, if you shave it, some have a lot of problems when it grows back. And pubic hair doesn’t have the same function as nails and other hairs.

I've always been very hairy in the most perfect of ways. Lots of it on my chest, armpits, on top of my head and on my face and around my belly button, arms and legs. A little on my shoulders at the tops of my arms. And that's it. None on my back on butt or biceps or anything. Even the distribution is perfect. Except for maybe a strong widows peak. But I'm kind of okay with that, because my hairline is still very strong at 28 (with some regrowth from going No Poo), and my hair is wavy, so it poofs out to hide it anyway. Plus, the look is distinctintive for my ancestral background, and completes my facial features quite well...esp once I grow my hair in! I LOVE ALL OF MY HAIRS BY A LOT!!!!

I Hypothesize that hair under our arms and between our buttocks, is to reduce friction. This is also what the pubic hair patch is for during sex. To reduce friction against each other in missionary position. Without it our skin sticks together and gets rashy, red & sore from friction & sweat (which can grow fungal infections).. Hair kind of allows sliding between skin in high friction areas. Even stopping our own genital and skin down there from sticking together, and to move more freely. That's my take on why we have hair down there, or even why we didn't lose it from those high friction, sweaty, hot areas between skin. It makes the most sense, and it works. You will know if you have shaved armpits, that your skin sticks together. Or had missionary sex with a person with a waxed or stubbly pubic bone hair patch. That hair is there to reduce friction between hot, sticky skin. Friction patches where are surfaces of skin can rub, seem to have hair. Think about it. Cheers.

I read the reason was because of the face to face sexual intercourse. The hair reduces uncomfortable friction on the skin at the groin. Same reason for the armpits - the friction of swinging your arms when walking or other movements is eased by the hair.

This video seems biased towards not waxing. Although I agree shaving with a blade has several risks, waxing in Brazil, at least, is a very hygienic method: the wax is disposable and anti-septic anti-allergic cleansers and wipes are used afterwards. In addition, there is evidence that at least in really hot countries, waxing prevents overheating of pubic areas, thus preventing recurrent yeast infection.

I have never had short and curlies..long and straight. Plus, my hair is so light you cannot see most of it, on legs, arms, pubes. Now, getting older, it has disappeared almost entirely..especially the pits and pubes.

Same. Don’t know if you’re male or female, but I’m a male who has less arm and leg hair than many women. I also have straight and not curly pubes, although mine are short not long. As I get older I have even less body hair. Judging from all the hassle people seem to go through to get rid of it I’m pretty happy about it.

According to the Kama sutra every hair is a sex organ. Pubic hair is also a shock absorber during vigorous sex (the best kind). Plus, it looks ridiculous for a grown person to have no pubes. Shaving the pits helps keep the accumulated smell from the sweat out, and just use some clippers to trim the hair down not razor blades, or cut them down with scissors.

My theory for pubic hair is heat retention. Think about it, Where does your body lose heat the fastest? Head, arm pits, groin. Where does your body hair grow the thickest? Head, arm pits, groin. Second to that, it hold to oils and pheromones, and offers a place for bacteria to breed, which, in turn, makes you stink. If we had pubic hair for the three stated reasons at 2:27 - 2:48, why don't we have a full coat of fur?

Pubic lice are slowly going extinct because people are keeping it nice and tidy "downstairs". The same goes for intestinal parasites because of today's high food quality. I once talked to a biologist working at my university who had received a petition from the head of her department if anyone would be willing to give a bunch of homeless tapeworms a place to live for the sake of biological diversity. Needless to say, I doubt he got too many answers.

2:39. it also catches urine and feces (and blood in case of women). Keeping dirt, bacteria, urine, feces, and sometimes blood hanging around your genitalia for as long as it takes for you to shower again*. I would say that the bacteria from all those sources isn't going to be blocked away by some hair. * I said "shower" because that is the only time people properly clean that area, because wiping is only drying the wet part, taking some of the solid part, and smearing whatever's left on yourself.

0:24hair is named after the region is grows, not the time it grows. Pubic hair grows at the pubis bone. Under-arm hair, grows at puberty, but not at the pubis bone, so isn't pubic hair.

I gotta say I'm dissapointed with the video. I feel like it is against shaving pubic hair as it gives silly reasons for shaving (like the one with "smaller" clothes"). There are 2 major pros of shaving pubics off: 1. Sweat - when you do sweat, it all lies in this hair and if you can't take a shower shortly after u perspirated then you are gonna stink. Shaving the hair let's you make sure that the antiperspirant u use will be enough to get you through the day before you hit the shower. 2. Sweat again :D - men In the summer, when it's hot and u must wear jeans f.e. ur balls are gonna sweat and it's so nasty and feels so bad to have it all sticky down there. Without the hair, it feels like you have more space for the skin to breathe and just feels more hygienic. 3. The looks - that ofc is very much a matter of tastes, but for me and most of people these days, pubic hair are not attractive. Specially in women ofc but also in man.

Not sure why so many producers of videos think it necessary to add background 'music' to their videos. Maybe if the 'music' didn't distract from the message it would be OK. But in a case as this do you really need background noise that sort of sounds like a roaring 20's flapper gig? How does that even approximate aiding us learn about pubes? Leave the music out please; your audience will pay attention better without all the unnecessary distraction.
