Please advise more on strap footing. Most of the time boundary wall are built prior to the building/house and the columns do not align with the column of the house or some does and some does not. My understanding is that in this case we do an eccentric or L-shaped footing where the column is not in the middle of the base and as such we use top and bottom mesh reinforcement in the column base and also use a thicker column base as well (around 450 mm.).

Is it possible to apply strap beam on both combined rectangular footing because my property line is supporting sloped land. So the wall on the property line will serve as retaining wall on the first floor until half of the second floor. Instead of making a retaining and making separate columns.
