I appreciate Craig and Lynell being the only two people in dc radio to do NBA draft coverage

I am surprised that people aren't impressed by Rissacher's two strong games to finish out the year in the French playoffs. Not many 18-year old's make that kind of impact in Europe.

Because the Wizards are already developing similar players in Deni and Bilal and has much bigger needs in other positions. There, I answered your question in under 10 seconds. What a pointless video, you guys are really running out of topics.

It looks like they can play together as 2-3-4. The reason is different. The Wizards have picked 4 forwards in the last 5 years, so the fans want something different.

@@itai4242I'd much rather draft Cooper Flagg, Airious Bailey, AJ Dybantsa, or Cameron Boozer as thr Wizards, plus, the Wizards will have the opportunity to draft one of these four forwards, who have way more upside than Zaccharie Risacher.

You are correct. Those who are saying otherwise do not understand that drafting Zaccharie Risacher needlessly complicates the Wizards' long-term outlook. Having three wings with no point guard or central to initiate the offense or hold down the fort defensively, respectively, is unappealing to me. That would be what the Wizards would have as a result of drafting Zaccharie Risacher. Furthermore, if they want to go with approach, why not draft either Cooper Flagg or Airious Bailey in next year's draft class if pairing another forward with Deni Avdija and Bilal Coulibaly is prioritized? Given that the Wizards will be likely tanking next season and the fact that Cooper Flagg and Airious Bailey are better prospects with greater upside than Zaccharie Risacher, I see this as a superior outcome for the Wizards, while also being realistic. As you stated, it truly is not all that complicated.

@@itai4242Playing together is not enough. They don't complement each other. Their skillsets are duplicative.

I'm getting increasingly worried that the Wizards will draft Zaccharie Risacher when it is becoming clear that they will tank next season, and if that occurs, either Cooper Flagg or Airious Bailey are far better forward options to pair with Bilal Coulibaly and Deni Avdija for the Wizards, in comparison to Zaccharie Risacher, considering all aspects. Moreover, Bilal Coulibaly and Zaccharie Risacher present redundant skillsets, and there is a notable positional overlap between Deni Avdija and Zaccharie Risacher.

Correct, picking Zaccharie Risacher is not at all optimal for the Wizards.

Because Risacher is a clone of developmental players already on the Wizards roster. How many 6'9" player who do nothing exceptionally well does one team need?
@vishnujayakumar1846
@vishnujayakumar1846 2 месяца назад
Exactly, plus the Wizards can draft a much better forward such as Cooper Flagg or Airious Bailey in next year's draft. Drafting Zaccharie Risacher distorts and obfuscates the vision too much in Washington DC long-term.

@@vishnujayakumar1846 If I had to place a bet, it's Sarr or Clingan at #2.

Because people don't understand the quality of the competition in the French league and don't know how to compare it to college basketball. Teenagers playing other teenagers is a lot different than teenagers playing grown men. Rissacher would have looked a lot different playing for say, Duke, and conversely, Stephon Castle would have looked a lot different playing in Europe.

Risarcher is a very talented kid from what I can see on RU-vid.. The only concern is character .. Is he tough enough to be elite in the NBA.. does he have that DOG in him ? His upside is tremendous at 19 years old and 6'10" .. but the NBA at the highest level is a dog fight.. With the 2nd overall pick in the draft you should be looking at getting a foundational player ! Come to think of it.. he reminds me of a young Kyle Kuzma talent wise ... Kuzma survived Detroit .. I dunno if the kid has that in him !!!
