That video alleviated so much stress that I was unnecessarily putting myself thru. 😂 thought I was going to break my bike by always riding in the higher end of the range.

I remember watching that. Forcing a bike to lug around at lower RPM all the time is hell on the motor.

Don’t get me wrong I love his videos, watch every single one when I get the chance. But we don’t have to spin it any other way. They’re designed for tracks and other professional races like the isle of man. Speed does kill people, and Gsxr is a ticking time bomb. I’ve seen with my own eyes a bike going 100+mph idek what happened but crash into the back of a car after going airborne and killing someones young daughter. Is it badass when we get to see it from his POV, see his experience and expertise on display? Yes. Statistically is he going to be able keep doing this without it ending in tragedy for not only him but anyone near him when him happens? No. I’ve commented for awhile to just relax cause he doesn’t need to go crazy for a video. He also admitted he hates doing it. We should be encouraging him to be hitting a track, instead we’re just gonna get some troubling news eventually. Just saying it like it is. He’s going to die at some point if he keeps doing it and we’ll all hold some level of responsibility.

But, having been fortunate enough to speak to Gixxer myself, I think he enjoy's spanking bikes too much to stop, or else he wouldn't be doing it. I think trying to get someone who enjoys riding fast to slow down, is like trying to get a drug addict to quit when they don't want to... impossible. You might stop them for a while, but they'll go back and thats when something bad usually happens.

Modern bikes evap stuff sends unburnt oil back into the airbox, so if he's ripping balance point wheelies there is oil going back into the cylinder. Not great. But going fast ain't an issue for sure.

@@bert_norton people always are surprised when my high mileage bikes get beat on and still run amazing. like bruh its a japp bike just do an oil change and spark plugs and the chance of it blowing up greatly decreases. thats all ive done for both my FZ1's and my current one has 60k miles and my other one has 96k miles

some older bikes do have issues w front cylinder starvation from wheelies like sv650s

Yea but the vast majority of bikes can do wheelies and not have any issues. But you start running into more bikes that don’t like it if you hold balance point.

There's a whole mod to prevent that if you're stunting though

as long as you maintain your bike, it will be nice to you

@@troy5203 correct you need to do your maintenance to make sure everything is good. And beat on it properly

same applys to cars my 07 ram (167K miles) i run to redline daily just for shits and gigs never once had an issue besides the radiator (hit a bird at 95mph) i just do proper maintenance and oil changes early owned that thing for 2 years and it never broke on me

I have a friend that won’t beat on his vehicles he won’t even floor them half the time I don’t know what he’s thinking. Well end of this discussion we get the point. I have nothing to say for people that think it’s abuse there’s abuse and then there’s proper abuse

Bro I’ve had my r3 for a little over 15k miles now. I don’t think I have ever rode it without touching the limiter. Great great little bike. I have a first gen and the brakes and suspension are kinda dog water. but, they haven’t really ever gotten in the way.

Oh yeah it was a 23 s1000rr. Got great power out of it
