@@newmoney8128 man I’m right there with you. I don’t know if they are the same maybe output power but the salt amps are made to work with low voltage everything I have seen tell me the JP amps like 14volts and don’t like low voltage. I could be totally wrong though 🤷🏽♂️
@@RealPivotTV I agree with you there I've had a few JP amps I had the JP33 and it really didn't care for a few future songs that have a lot of low base and no salt lamps you have to get a custom box made for the combo you put with that salt and the subs by sundown. But I would really like to see the comparison between those two
All respect to Price, but he is not an electronics engineer, just a bass enthusiast. What kills me is he alone is leading the big watt amp revolution, while the classic amp names are just fading away... yall remember Orion? Precsion Power? Hell JBL?? its like the dudes that been in the game for decades are hard-pressed to do anything amazing and here come Price, leveling up on all them fools. He's literally got designs upon designs. 7 channels, 5 channels, 4 channels... all under-reported rated powered, and beautiful (if u like Skittles colors, lol). Mad respect to this dude!! Seriously, major Thanks JP!!
I am impressed they did the right thing, other companies would have marketed 14,000 watts . As long as there is truth in advertising and decent sound quality it is a no brainer
Bought a skar rp1500.1 2 years ago when I first put the build in my 98 s10 extended cab....and it never gave me a mins trouble ....but I was a teenager in the early to mid 90s so I remember the old us amps and how cool those big boys were ....so I bought a jp23v1.5 and it's a beast for the price caught it on sale for 249 around first of the year ...and it seems to be a very good amp ...build quality and features for the price I don't think you can beat ....sure there are cheaper amps that might even do same power but for the money the jp amps are a incredible investment....i have run mine for hours and never heard the fan come on or seen the temp over 116 usually runs around 106....at full volume....granted I am only a little past half way on the gain ....because that's all the power my American bass xr dual 2 12 needs or seems to be happiest at ....so yeah as you say jp for the win ....great products
You do realize gain has nothing to do with how much power an amp puts out right? Its matching the input section to whatever your head unit is outputting. So say a Kenwood Excelon with 5 volt preamp section the gain would stay all the way down and still put out max power. Just an fyi
I have 2 JP23's. With all D4S mids and highs, D4S power/ground, etc. Brother, these amps, videos, and pictures don't do them justice. The output that these amps put out are insane and sound freaking awesome as long as you know how to tune your equipment.
Takes me back when I was going to mobile dynamics in phoenix and Alma gates showed up with their bronco. It was before there was any mids and highs just bass. 6 jbl crown amps. I got to sit in it and they played it to about 160 with me inside it. Seeing how small amps are now is amazing
There nice they smell easy, the speaker instert terminals strip super easy aswell on them. Overall there all right my jp23v2 they get down, but they get pretty warm really quick
couldnt imagine needing 6k watts to run the mids and highs, all for under 1k.....tech has come along way i love the clip in part to synch your gains.....
I wish I had 2 of those amps. I would run 1 amp on 2 subwoofers and 1 channel on the other amp on a 3rd subwoofer and the other channel for my mids and highs.
Down4Sound just keeps proving that they are the car audio brand everyone should be buying. I need one of these but with less power lol like 1k per channel.
I dont know what you were talking about with the quad box not being hella loud Big D. I had on some high quality earbuds and the bass was insane coming from the quad box. 6000 watts should get you into the 150's with the quad box in the right car. Anyways great video as always bro. Love JP's amplifiers. They pretty much changed the game. Way to go JP. I had been a d4s customer for years before this, but the next amplifier I order is definitely gonna be a JP63
@@RealPivotTV That's awesome. I was thinking about doing something similar with a pair of American Bass XR 12's in a 4 ft³ ported enclosure and an Orion XTR 2500.1 I have laying around from an older stereo, but I'm honestly afraid I'm just gonna knock everything off my walls with it, lol. It did a 148Db in a Trailblazer with a small 32Ah LiFePO4 lithium bank, and a 270 amp alternator, and the sound quality was really good on the AB XR subwoofers. Guess I'll try to stuff that old system into the trunk of a cheap hatchback and have some fun with it. Maybe add 2 more subs and a few more lithium cells, plus a JP63 and see how she goes.
Dang, that triple color clip light is extremely cool. Does the incredible D4S bass knob work with that feature? Wouldn't be shocked if it does but I think I may have found the only missing feature, one I didn't know existed, lol.
Holyholy crap man ive just fell in love man say it aint so man... that amp colour with the lexan looks right on oldskool... ive gotta buy one now dangit🔉🔉🔥
Not sure what you do with amps that are given to you for an independent test acter the test is completed. If get rid of them, id surely appreciate this JP amp. If you need my details for shipping (which i will be more than happy to cover the cost), just shoot me a message and i will reply. Truly do enjoy watching your videos. Im surprised you havent been approached to do voice overs for commercials or movies. Anyways, thanks again for the videos and testing you do. Keep up the good work my man. Big A outta Heeere!!
When I see things like this it makes me think it might be worth selling my m4a and grabbing a couple of these. I'll still probably keep the m4a but this is tempting
Thanks for all the testing & videos. Its great that you do all your testing the same. Curious amp dyno stops at 5k yet testing results show higher... Can you please explain Tyvm appreciated
Hi my friend Your video is always interesting to watch anytime and anywhere. Can you test a yamaha stereo amplifier on your dyno for example ns 303 from yamaha
Hey man I have a question for you I have a taramps 3k hd and and 2 dual 1ohm Rockville punisher wired at .25 ohm. Do you think this would damage my amp, the amp is turned down very low because this amps is insane on power! Big shot out to you and your channel because without watching ur vids I wouldn't of know how much power this amp has. it runs fine amp doesn't get hot no clip light or protection goes on. Would value your opinion cuz ur a pro!
That is awesome wow. One question at 5000 watts you said you could not test over 5000 watts with the Dyno but you went past that with the second part of the test I’m just trying to understand how the dyno works and where it’s limitations are. 😊
@@mcf3778 yeah it tells me on the video page in the comments. I'm not sure why that's the only place but it's awesome to see this! I'm not a big concert person, but the Swift one was pretty amazing. My wife got the tickets but it was through a reseller and I don't want to know how much she paid...so I didn't ask 😊
Power is much cheaper today than it was back when the JBL A6000 was made. However, the JBL was still more powerful delivering the 3000W x 2 at 2 ohms rather than 1 ohm. The JBL was probably cleaner power also. D4S really isn’t an SQ brand by any means. They are made for power and big bass, not really anything else.
Me personally I feel like this isn’t necessary for mids and highs with the huge footprint and current pull. It makes more since to get a sound digital 8k or Stetsom 8k or 6k just my opinion
Over 1% THD at 1 ohm? Yeah... thats a fail for a full range amplifier. Still a fantastic amplifier for the price.. but even subwoofer amplifiers manage well below 1% THD... so for it to not count up cleanly, thats a hard pass for me.
The amp not counting cleanly is definitely a cause for concern. Sounds like an interference issue inside the amp. Even with the outputs on a resistor bank, and nothing wrong with the bank, it should count clean. I would need to see a schematic, but I’m willing to bet there’s a filtering/emi suppression issue.
Won't be no schematics, this is a ZEON brand amp. They will provide no schematics. Its Korean....barely. S and I will provide schematics as long as you are their customer.
Bro planning on upgrading my teen sons car stereo for his birthday. Can you suggest a decent budget 4 channel amp and sub amp of at least 500 rms or more. Thanks bro
I just bought a JP77 but next sub amp im desiding between the jp43 and jp32.2 but at least now i dont have to run the skar amp but i want a half ohm test of the jp77 sub side
It depends on the Ohm load. the higher Numbers were on 2 and 1 Ohms. Looks like the Voltage gets too high. So it should stop at 10k at 2 Ohms and 20k at 1 Ohm
