Stevie Wonder, Jose Feliciano, Bill Cosby, and anyone else blind in one eye and can't see out of the other could see this suspicious, crazy store full of intrigue!!
100% correct....Goodell got hurt he was called names, names about him which are true, and Goodell leaked it...wish nfl owners would get rid of him, he is a pos
They didn't ruin his life. I like coach Gruden but he's filthy rich with not a care in the world. Gruden lost his job and hes a multimillionaire he will be ok. Someone didn't like the fact Gruden looked like he might succeed with the Raiders. The Raiders are screwed like usual
@@litedawg So true. And it's not about money for a guy like Gruden. This is his LIFE! The NFL is in his blood. He had his QB thing, MNF, back as a head coach, etc. And now he's done with the NFL forever, likely. He will be devastated. And it's not right.... (and I don't even like him, FWIW)
There are words and there are actions. The worst part of Gruden's comments were how juvinile they sounded. His actions show something different. He selected and nutured blacks and a gay man and is still with his wife from college. That covers race, sex and gender. None of his current players said a bad word about him even after he resigned, in fact they supported him. The guys a complete asshole for the words he used but his actions shows nothing wrong with his character. People really need to focus more on actions rather than words, but that's unfortunately not the society we live in. Gruden should still have a job. I have no more interest in Raiders games.
I think part of the point is, Gruden said and sent crazy things. These emails were continuous, knowing the responses and the lead up also provides greater context. He didn't send emails and they just died and he didnt just send out random blurts in random emails.
If you called someone a homophobic slur, how aren’t you going to take that personally. I don’t care who you are, you’d never let that slide. Say that to your boss on Monday and see if you still have a job by the end of the day.

@@Snakeyes11123 most of them are probably ordinary business as usual, but I’m curious about the ones that are similar to gruden’s from people all throughout Washington’s organization and other ppl from around the league.
You don’t need Sherlock Holmes to solve this mystery. Gruden shat upon Goodell and several owners in writing. They weren’t gonna overlook that no matter how many years ago it was.
Uhh no. The owners are hiding more. You genuinely believe those are the only bad emails and from only one source? Not a chance. I guarantee you there is much more to expose in those emails. Also, I don’t think it takes a genius to know that some owners, if not most, have said much worse things behind closed doors. Gruden is the scapegoat.
@@codysteven1314 Of course they are hiding more and Gruden is a scapegoat. However, that doesn’t change the fact that Gruden handed Goodell the loaded gun to be used against him. Nobody with an ounce of common sense would have felt comfortable putting that shit in writing. Gruden only has himself to blame for that.
Also, the TIMING is alarming! DeMaurice Smith, the same guy Gruden racially insulted and targetted in the first email, was JUST coming up for a vote last weekend by the league to keep him as head of the NFLPA. C'mon, this was NOT a coincidence! This ties together!!
Gruden was crucified for his "thought crimes" contained within his "private" emails to a friend released by NFL operatives to the NYTIMEs and published by the Times with all the vulgar zeal of the National Inquirer. Gruden was targeted for the content of his emails not the words. Fuss over big lips and queen are bread and circus. It was Gruden's private disdain for the NFL's WOKE diversity initiatives. He disliked league decisions to replace experienced male referees with inexperienced females. He deplored NFLs coercion of Jeff Fisher to draft the first openly gay college player at the expense of more talented straight players. In short, Gruden spoke out privately in an email to a friend about his misgiving regarding NFL's addiction to diversity at the expense of fairness and honesty. Those private comments heartlessly exposed by WOKE police and published by WOKE mullahs at the NYTIMES. Denounced as an apostate, a racist a misogynist, Gruden's career and personal life have been torn assunder and pilloried as a heretic for not conforming to NFL WOKE dogma. That is the travesty of this story. Not the big lips comment.
Look into Orgeron at LSU. Same situation but way worse. The sports illustrated story on why LSU "had no choice" but to part ways is an absolute disgrace. And also the president of LSU was hired out of no where over 8 people supposedly ahead of him and hes all about crt... This is probably gonna continue to play out with white coaches who dont subscribe to the woke agenda.
In what universe do you believe emails are private? Making excuses for him doesn't cover the fact that he's a bigot, a homophobe and a misogynist. Is he the only one? Of course not. But he was stupid enough to press SEND. That's on him. He pressed send. He has to own it. By the way, he left the NFL a multimillionaire. I call that winning.
If talking about lips and using the "F-word" is an offense that deserves firing, then WELL over 100 of my childhood friends of all colors are going to be fired.

Had the privilege of meeting, and doing some research for, Andrew Brandt while I was in law school. He's one the smartest, coolest men I've ever met. It's not surprising that he's asking the right questions.
Have they released any emails. All we have are a few out of context quotes and kind of a summary to what he said. And if you look at the quote about gay players for example. He believed Goodell FORCED Fisher to draft Michale Sam. Maybe just to use him for publicity.
If this stays in the spotlight, which I think it will, look for the government to intervene. This has all of the dysfunctions the MLB doping scandal had, and then some.
@@russ2991 Internally? Surely you jest. It’s the internal parts of the NFL that presents the problem. The people who enabled Gruden, who laughed at his racist jokes, guffawed and winked at his anti-gay quips, are still around. How do you propose the NFL flushes them out? Do you really think owners will blow the whistle on other owners, coaches, executives, etc? Does it not appear right now that internally someone is already trying to cover up for Mr. Snyder?
I’m a Raiders Fan and a Gruden Hater, so I’m glad to see him gone for bringing down the Raiders when they were on the rise, but I agree...he’s the fall guy for something bigger. You don’t have that much correspondence if the recipient on the other end isn’t on the same language and philosophical level as you. Where’s their responses? Can’t tell me Chucky was only sending!
He’s by no means the “fall guy”. No one put a gun to Gruden’s head writing the things he did, who he sent them to, and who they were about. He did it to himself. There seems to be little to no sense of taking responsibility for your actions.
Goodell needed a fall guy to protect the league after covering up the Snyder's mess in Washington. Gruden also made fun of Goodell and he hurt his feelings.
I agree. This investigation had nothing to do with Jon Gruden! What about the OWNER UNDER THE ORIGINAL INVESTIGATION!!!!!!! What emails did he send back to Gruden? This opinion was shared between these two friends... So only one side of the email chain gets in trouble????? This whole thing STINKS!!!!!!
He was sacrificed by Goodell partly to cover-up the other guilty parties, but also as revenge because he disparaged Goodell and other NFL execs. They simply wanted Gruden out and that's how power works at the highest levels in all organizations.
It's payback because Mark Davis tampered with Jon Gruden before Jack Del Rio's contract was up. that's tampering plus they went around the Rooney Rule. Chucky never should have been hired

They’re talking here about protecting the owners in case there was emails between them. The thing is, why do what they did to Gruden in the first place and bring attention to it? It makes absolutely no sense because no one up until this past weekend had the WFT investigation on their mind. They could’ve just came up with some lame excuse about the investigation and sweep it under the rug and it’s over. Now all they did is raise more questions and it’s not going away anytime soon. How they went out of their way to destroy Gruden’s career is ridiculous. Roger Goodell and his reign as commissioner has been nothing but one big shitshow. There’s a reason why the guy gets booed draft after draft when he announces the first round of draft picks,
I will never understand rich people.with everything going on now we have see it all they care about is their money and power.the public that gives these people money and power mean nothing as long as the rich stay rich.
I’ve seen a lot of Raiders fans suggest what Al Davis would have done. If we reflect on his famous quote before it was edited for space constraints, we get a clear picture: “Just win, baby... unless of course the head coach said naughty words in a personal email 10 years ago, at which point, winning isn’t all that important. Now, let’s take Heyward-Bey with our first pick!”
Uhh, they were offensive ten years ago, they are offensive now and in ten years they will still be offensive. FYI the emails are from 2011-2018, so some of them are only 3 years old.
ESPN kept that story at the top of their news feed the entire weekend. Absolutely a hit job…. Yet, Kraft is getting Happy Endings at massage parlors and nothing. I’d like to see those emails. And I firmly believe teams were forced to draft Sam, they can deny that all day long, I don’t believe any denials.
Neckbeard much? ESPN covered the Kraft scandal, and Jeff Fischer drafted Sam despite people trying to convince him not too. Gruden was sacrificed to protect Dan Snyder. Emails with topless pics of cheerleaders without their knowledge and they got a slap on the wrist. The emails are out there and the leaks are strategic. Eventually, they are going to take down someone the NFL did not intend to get taken down. ESPN sucks, but facts are facts kid, the covered Kraft and Kraft was never going to get in trouble because Kraft is an owner with 6 Super Bowl Rings. NFL would never allow big daddy Kraft to be canceled.
Kraft also has an army of lawyers who were able to block public view of the massage parlor video. Gruden got caught on paper. Yeah someone leaked it because he rubbed a very powerful person the wrong way. Maybe Mark Davis saw an out from that contract and took it. Probably all of the above

It's not just words. They are culture. These racists need to be exposed because the league needs to eliminate this issue or the players will not play for them. Even could be the beginning of the downfall of the NFL. We can get a new league and watch all the talent flock to the new league
There is no doubt that those 650,000 emails contain a lot of information that will ruin more careers than just Gruden’s career. Gruden has several comments about Goodell. Goodell deserves every insult that those emails contain. All of those emails should be made public and let the chips fall where they will. Gruden should have never resigned over those emails. Sacrificial or not.......Jon Gruden said what he said for many years, disparaging everyone, he’s a despicable human being through and through to the core.
If they weren't leaked by the NFL, then how did the Wall Street Journal get the information it reported. The only other obvious scenario is it was the law firm investigating the WFT work place misconduct.
@@cjcurtis8944 If that was the case, he wouldn't have coached Sunday. The story broke Friday. I think it was the NFL, someone who works under Goodell. Based on what Gruden said about Goodell.
