I can see where you come from on this, but I think it's worth noting that back when shows like Samurai Jack or Courage were still new, people hated them and wanted older cartoons to start airing more often. 10 years from now we'll start to miss shows people currently despise, if the trend keeps up.

Cartoon Network was a very different channel back then than they are now. They were still trying to figure out what worked for them, and we got very creative shows out of it. Now, they found out that TTG was their success, and they spam that show on the schedule. You're definitely correct on that front.

Honestly, they still did. I've been reading a lot of old forum posts from the early 00s and many of them are threads discussing the downfall of Cartoon Network. Complaining about the channel isn't anything new.

I grew up in the golden age of cartoon network as well. Those were the days. And now boomerang is slowly starting to suck cuz they got rid of the good 90's cartoon network shows and replaced them with things like grizzly and the lemmings and uncle grandpa
Raven's Hold at least they have a plot to them, shows like TTG, PPG, and Ben 10(remake) are terrible every other show has a plot but Cartoon Network doesnt even air these shows because they think TTG and so on are better
More kids growing up with ipads and ipods and shit they watch less tv and their attention span is reduced. Big networks don't want to spend the money on shows with substance so they give kids dumb shit to watch because thats whats cool these days.

I've identified 3 types of CN watchers: #1: little kids They make up a vast majority of the CN views and are meant to mindlessly watch the cancer (TTG, PPG remastered). They're the primary money makers. #2: The haters These are the pre-teens and teens who hate the cancerous shows so much that they think the new, good shows are works of God, and show little regard to the old shows. Probably no better than the little kids #3: the nostalgics These are the people who as well hate the cancerous shows, but their favorite shows are the older shows that have long been canceled. Most accepted group.

Even Cartoon Network in 2009 was better, at least CN real only aired once a week! TEEN TITANS GO AIRS 24/7!!! It also had variety (unlike now) RIP CN 1992-2009;2010-2015
They could've reached out to a larger audience and get more money if they actually went back and broadcast the older stuff because not only would kids watch it but our generation as well would get a long with the younger generation. They don't realize that they could be making more money if they just put in the last season of Teen Titans or the other good shows. Seriously though they could've made more money.
Here's the problem with that. CN never airs older shows because they don't get any ratings. They would rather put them on the CN or Boomerang apps, which I think is a much better way of airing older shows than airing them on TV.
CMB Chris actually a couple days ago I watched teen titans on cartoon network and I am not talking about that trash teen titans go I am talking about the REAL deal the teen titans I grew up watching, I was quite surprised as I thought CN was no longer broad casting the original teen titans, there was two episodes which they broadcasted and it felt good to watch teen titans after all these years So my point is there may be hope yet since they are occasionally broadcasting the original teen titans!

Yeah Cartoon Network is pure shit now, the last time I ever watched this Network was when they did there 20th anniversary in 2012 and aired old classic shows, like courage, Johnny bravo, dexter, tom and jerry etc.. idk like back then Cartoon Network was way more better the programming, the promos, and of course the cartoon characters. And flash forward till now and they don't even do any of that anymore.. so sad.
Cartoon Network was one of my favorites. I love watching my favorite childhood shows. I love Regular Show and The Amazing World of Gumball. But that stupid Titans take over the entire FREAKING SCHEDULE! *Snap at my head and turn my head* Regular Show ended that Cartoon Network didn't promote the series final, instead too many reruns of stupid Titans. This is a competition between Stupid Titans and Gumball. I'm fearing if Cartoon Network treated Gumball poorly like Regular Show. I hope Gumball will win by more ratings and took over as Cartoon Network's most popular show and Stupid Titans will soon be gone and put the trash.

Most Cartoon Network shows now consist of toilet humor, gross out humor which I'm not a fan of, pointless pop culture references, bad voice acting, lazy animation, bad morrells to teach kids and characters being jerks to each other. I miss the good old days but I have to move on. 😔🤦♂️
Ive been out of watching Cartoon Network for about 15 years. To me, there is zero diversity in animation style between shows. All the characters look like they could be in each others shows and no one would notice. I cant tell them apart at all.
I grew up with CN since i was 2 or 3 years old, now in 18. I miss the golden age of CN when it had awesome quality shows like Ed Edd n Eddy, KND & Courage The Cowardly Dog. Now theyre all gone and we're left with only three good shows now. Steven Universe, We Bare Bears and OK KO. The rebooted shows have terrible animation and plots. Im very disappointed in CN right now

I remember watching about five minutes of the PPGs reboot and immediately proceeded to turn off my TV, then I went to bed early.... Really miss old CN. Their lineups were extraordinary. Shows like: Chowder, Young Justice, Batman Brave and the Bold, Classic Looney Tunes/Tom and Jerry, Classic Ben 10, Powerpuff Girls, Alien Force and Ultimate Alien, Classic Teen Titans, Camp Lazo, Star Wars the Clone Wars, My Gym Partner's a Monkey, Codename Kids Next Door, Billy and Mandy, Fosters Home for imaginary friends, Regular Show, Adventure Time, The Amazing World of Gumball, 6teen, total drama, stoked, Old Pokemon, The Metal Saga Beyblade, Bakugan, Edd Ed n Eddy, Steven Universe etc. They used to actually care and prioritize fans a little more than making a profit ( which they made billions anyway sooo). The fact that these gemstones of shows are kicked away because of Teen Titans Go (which is dumbster fire) is infuriating to beyond a certain degree....
They even turned down the Galactic Kids Next Door which said to suppose to be the sequel to Kids Next Door, but they had the nerve to bring back Teen Titans and Powerpuff Girls in the worse possible way, although i will kinda admit i kinda like Teen Titans Go a little bit but that's just me and i do know why the hate for it but you know.
Like Mr. Enter said, they turned down a reboot of a classic show that was made by its original creator, and had at least most of the feel of the original show, and meanwhile, they took Powerpuff Girls COMPLETELY away from Craig Mccracken, and butchered it up beyond all belief. That's just hypocritical.
I showed my 10 year old cousin the original teen titans and loved it. he hated teen titans go. being an adult(22) I don't get it. I mean power puff girls would work so well in the current day with strong female characters. poor Ben 10 is just dying....what happened Ben 10k? I like regular show because it was so unique and strange. CN I will write you cartoons to make it better.

I know one way to restore Cartoon Network. STOP WITH THE REMAKES! Less quantity over quality. More diversity on the network, and no current trends like dabbing and twerking. At least Ed Edd n Eddy never did anything like that.

I used to watch Cartoon Network when I was like around my kindergarten days and a bit in my elementary school days when I was 1st grade to 3rd grade. I’m already in 6th grade and nowadays I just watch Comedy Central since they have south park in it and sometimes a bit of Adult Swim
cartoon network, rerun foster's home and ed edd and eddy. they are by far your most popular shows. don't reboot them, just rerun them, and see if you get some of your viewers back. also bRING BACK THE MR MEN SHOW AND DONT RUIN IT
A lot of CN shows in the past were good but then all the good shows were canceled, the new ones suck a lot. Teen titans is better than Teen titans go. Theres too much kid jokes and bad has bad graphics for TTG while in Teen titans you actually see real fights and they are being more serious than being weirdos. I even heard that people hated the New powerpuff girls show. And all the current shows that exist actually sucks. I hope Cartoon network shuts down for good because I highly doubt there will be another good show. Just watch other channels. And feel free to share your opinions and facts about cartoon network. I used to have a strong connection with shows that my generation grew up watching in the 1990s, but when I watch the much newer shows on TV as an adult, the connection that I had with the shows that me and my generation grew up with in 1990s, well, it's just not there with the much newer shows.

If the shows you grew up with are still watchable even today, then they're considered timeless. The same could be said for _Charlie Brown_ , and other kid shows that last into adulthood. The "It's for kids" excuse can only go so far. And if it makes you feel any better, there are plenty of kids out there who hate TTG just as much as we do. Just as there are plenty of girls who hate the _Twilight_ franchise. If you want your show to hold merit, it needs to be open to criticism, and thus, improve on it. If not, then it's no different from your average TMZ special that's "catered to a certain audience".

Yeah Boomerang doesn't even air old shows anymore thus totally defeating the namesake and purpose of the channel. While I don't mind Sonic Boom (TV show), it doesn't belong on Boomerang.
I hate what CN is doing. Xfinity OnDemand, they have a small collection of the old school shows. That's what I recommend my younger siblings watch opposed to that new junk. Now they're hooked on the classics.

Hey, Cartoon Network was originally created to appeal to both kids and adults, and the shows on the network were made to do so. Now it just wants to be hip and cool with the kids, and doesn't care about the adults anymore.

It's sad... It really is. I said it multiple times that I dislike Teen Titans Go, but I also know kids are watching it so it does have an audience as sad as it is. But that's fine, if kids like Teen Titans Go I won't argue with it. But the day I have kids I'll be super strict with Cartoon Network if they not only still air TTG, but they air it as constantly as they do today. I really don't know what makes Cartoon Network think that this schedule is okay, it's not, it's unhealthy. They may not be feeling it now, but eventually kids are going to burn out on Teen Titans Go, they're going to want more than just random humor 24/7. Eventually kids will watch it so much that they're just not going to put up with the show anymore. When Futurama was first moved to Adult Swim, it would constantly air the only 2 seasons for years until the new season finally happened. But by then I watched so much Futurama that there was no more appeal for me. I was burnt out because I watched so much of the same content. It was so bad for me that I was frequently predicting the episode every night accurately and it was then I decided to stop watching Futurama. Johnny Test was also a show that burnt out rather quickly, though it wasn't due to airing all the time... or not so much at least. It was bad, but like Teen Titans Go it had an audience. But what eventually ended that show was the fact it pretty much repeated the same jokes to where every episode new and old was seen a mile away. "Didn't see that coming" was a common line, and because of it, everything was actually seen coming. Lack of variety will be Cartoon Network's undoing. Even though majority of its airtime is Teen Titans Go, majority of the shows they invest in regardless is all comedy based. There is little Action in Cartoon Network anymore, and seems like whatever show does involve Action gets cancelled with little to no reason at all. And whatever action show does exist, must involve comedy. This is why Transformers Robots in Disguise and Justice League Action isn't as serious as their predecessors...ESPECIALLY Transformers which has acknowledged itself as a continuation of Transformers Prime, which is still being aired on Discovery Family (albeit re-runs). There is a BIG difference in tone from the two shows.
Cartoon Network nowadays sucks!!!! And I stopped watching Cartoon Network earlier this year when J.G. Quintel pulled the plug on Regular Show in Mid-Late January and I see this video. Seeing the current schedule of CN is completely ridiculous and so, so, so, sooooo cringeworthy. Four episodes of only We Bare Bears and Adventure Time gets showcased. I ain't gonna lie Gumball in it's earliest of years were good and some of the episodes (in the exception of that one episode included anime references into one episode.). But, Teen Titans Go and Clarence sucks so freaking much. When Teen Titans Go were brought up to TV on CN, I was like "Bruh...Really?! This is what they give us." To what Kmack Time said, they totally slapped us in the face when they totally watered down Teen Titans (original) with this piece of trash. Also...The Powerpuff Girls (2015) is also trash af. Back in the day, they used to kick a lotta ass, saving the world (Townsville) from danger and they replace all of that with this trashy, snickerdoole, cringeworthy, sandbag memes that's on the show regularly on the 2015 series. I call bullshit on that....Cartoon Network made awesome shows look like trash in the last few years. Including seeing reboots of Teen Titans, Ben 10, and the Powerpuff Girls and replaces all of that awesomeness with trashy reboots. You gotta be kidding me. Cartoon Network, you suck! Just end Teen Titans Go and the reboots of PPF and Ben 10, go back to the times when you didn't suck! Period! Word! I'm donezo! P.S. Teen Titans Go is cancer and the only reason why good ass shows like Adventure Time or We Bare Bears does NEVER, I mean. NEVERRRRRR get a chance to shine at all. I mean look at the schedule.
