Why Does Everyone Hate Sumeru? | Genshin Impact 

At the end of the sumeru archon quest I was as mentally sane as the Joker

Sumeru archon quest was best till date. Like liyue and monstad honestly where boring and straight forward. Inazuma started really good but ended adruptly making no sense. Sumeru was solid from start to end and kept me on edge. Fontaine was second best, like fontaines final arc would probably be the best one in game. I bet the next ones to come will be even better

people don't hate sumeru, they hate the dessert. sumeru was literally the best and prettiest region revealed yet 😤

Tbh I never liked it from the second I saw the livestream cuz I live in the desert. I didn’t wanna see more dirt then I already do when I leave my house. Jokes on you tho I don’t leave my house to touch grass cuz I have none but regardless he was right tho tbh

i got so bored with sumeru that i just skipped every dialoge and i dont know anything about the region nor the archon

it took me forever to finish sumeru cause it'd literally put me to sleep. The MOMENT I finished and started the quest after finishing it I immediately felt refreshed and like i was actually enjoying the game. Don't get me wrong, sumeru's story and concept are awesome, but the execution was so mind numbingly boring i actively avoid touching the region today as to not induce a headache.

You can't say an element is bad without using it at all. Maybe you didnt check how to build around the dendro element at all

I must say, i liked Sumeru much less then Inazuma. But now Fonten is out, and im starting to like Sumeru more :) I have suspicion Sumeru will be better and better with each new nation!

I personally liked it but there was too much desert...of it had one less desert zone and one more rainforest it would have been better

I'd rank the regions Inazuma > Liyue > Fontaine > Mondstadt > Sumeru Sumeru is the worst, but something had to be the worst. I think the quests are fine, but the exploration is not very enjoyable imo.

Not all 5 stars were mid only alheitam and nahida were good (dendro realy just s you issue its like best for the reations it has) and dehya was worst Charakter ever in genshin and 4 stars were well layla and yao yao ware the best after that i woude say mika and kirara are also good tge other Charakter were mid and desert i throue up please hoyo make natlan have more stuff snd not just sand and forest was Peak but i say it was sllrigth well better than Inazuma is not hard

While i agree on you on some points and i believe you do put up some valid points, there are also some points that i just think you dont see very well... This is coming from a person who thinks Sumeru is the worst of the 5 Nations so far... with Inazuma close Behind it. Sumeru's Story was... Unique... maybe a bit too unique but thats just me, I didnt like dealing with all the Samsara and Alternate time flow and Memories getting deleted... too abstract of points for me... i think it was cool, but quite... a lot to follow. The length of the Dialogues... im particualrly pointing out the Samsara quest where you talk with Kusanali and do the groundhog day thing... IT LASTS 2 HOURS AND ALL YOU DO IS RUN FROM 1 SIDE OF SUMERU CITY TO THE OTHER. Then you talk for 10 minutes and do it again... and again... it really makes ou feel like your in an actual Groundhog day loop, I can't say thats a good thing though. Dendro DID bring a TON to the Genshin Meta... It made EM viable on more than Kazuha and Sucrose, it gave some lacluster characters like Keqing, Yae and Thoma some much needed help. while making some of the best characters even better... which were ofcourse Raiden and Yelan. It finally made some teams where youd dint need to use Bennett... as before 3.0, the ONLY team that didn't get a good buff from having bennett, was a Yelan/Hu Tao Team as it was HP based... sure there were singular characters like Yunjin, Zhongli and Gorou that didn't base everything they did off of attack. but, they were most oftenly placed with Attack scaling characters. Dendro allowed for more teams to use higher amounts of EM and even Dehya was an HP scaling character... but heres the next thing wrong with Sumeru... ALMOST EVERY SINGLE CHARACTER WERE UNDERPOWERED OR NEICHE. Yes, you can make any character work... i'm an albedo Main and i have 2 friends that are Tartag Mains. But when you look at Ganyu, Hu Tao, Raiden, Ayaka, Yelan and Ayato... then you look at Tighnari, Cyno, Nilou, Dehya, Al Haitham. they all perform a notch or two worse... the only good Characters that got out of the Neiche Spectrum were Wanderer and Nahida... Nahida... Makes Dendro Overpowered, i still think tot his date that she is the best character in the entire game, She allows Nilou, and Cyno and Tighnari to be bad characters, and then get lifted up into place with her on the team... and Wanderer is one of the Harbingers... I highly doubt theyu are going to make a bad Harbinger for where they are in the game, Tartaglia was extremely good on release... Wanderer was also extremely good on release... then we get to 4 star Characters... 2.0 already didnt have... great 4 star Characters in Sayu, Thoma, and Kuki (Before 3.0). but each have been inadvertantly buffed since then... sayu works great with Furina, which yes... is a newer character... but her roll was always useful for getting around and doing Domains faster (until this patch where that added 20 million quality of life changes). She could get Crystalflies easier... Thoma became really good with Burgeon Reactions... and Kuki is one of the best 4 stars in the game now... doing non-negligable damage, having decent healing and Constant Electro Application that Follows you and does a Large AOE. makes her the perfect Hyperbloom carrier. But then 3.0... it has... Collei, who is worse than Dendro Traveller in EVERY way... Dori who is the most useless character in the game... negligable damage, decent healing, but just... worse than Kuki in every way. Then Candace, who is decent... on a team with Nilou... who as we stated earlier was not that great. The next 3 were... Neiche but actually good. Layla needs to be on field every 10 or so seconds, but has the 2nd best shield in the game... Faruxan only helps 2 different characters... but hey are 2 favorites by the community, Xiao and Wanderer. Yao Yao is a great healer and dendro applicator... but then we are back to trash characters like Mika, Kaveh and Kirara. Now i will say the Character Personalities are a step up from Inazuma... I like a lot of the characters personalities so i pulled quite a few... Tighnari, Dehya, wanderer and Al Haitham I all pulled. Collei also has some the deepest character development that goes OUTSIDE THE GAME??? LIKE SERIOUSLY... SHES AN ARG TO FIGURE OUT. That was very cool. Lastly the Exploration bottlenecks you into doing random sidequest to open up areas... always having dendro and elector characters on your team and the desert is both bland and impossible to navigate... all of these features drop it squarely into last place for me... 5: Sumeru 4: Inazuma 3: Mondstadt 2: Liyue 1: Fontaine
