God requires faith that following his wisdom will lead you to salvation. The truth is that by following the wisdom you get out of slavery or exile. The entire thing religious people fail to understand is that the scriptures offer you everything that your religion leads you away from.

@@andrewclark3390 Here, I hope this will help you understand: Hebrews 11:6 - "And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for the one who comes to God must believe that He exists, and that He proves to be One who rewards those who seek Him."

Why would we not? He created us, he loves us, he created this beautiful earth and all the animals. His love for us is so apparent everywhere. Also, he sent Jesus to die for our sin. After Adam and Eve ate that apple which let sin into the world, our hearts were never the same. Our hearts are evil and they’re very selfish and hateful. Jesus came show to show what it’s like to love one another and welcome the poor and the outcasts. Spend time with the sick and the hungry. Praise God because if Jesus were now worthy of Heaven or else we would all be going to hell! That’s why he deserves praise!

@@lauretta6699 no, he’s asking, what is the logical reasoning behind God wanting us to have faith? I can’t think of one. How does it benefit both parties (God and Us)

He is saying that if God demonstrates its power and existence, we could still deny Him. That makes sense, but doesn't explain why he is hiding himself, being so silent, to thw point of His existence be questionable. Okay, if he decides to show up, many people will deny Him anyway, I agree, but many people could trust Him more, as me for example 😢

Why does God do anything? Because he’s loving and seeks harmony (mutual benefit) in all things. Faith is part of God’s plan for a loving, saving relationship between us and him. A deeper question is “why doesn’t God physically reveal himself?”. I think the answer to this is that in a universe with coercive evidence for God’s existence, it’s possible that less people would come into a loving, saving relationship with him which is the ideal end case scenario for everyone.

@@slashholt23 I would, but that’s not how the English language works. The English language doesn’t have reverent ways of saying things as do most other languages. Even speaking God’s name can be considered irreverent. It’s an interesting idea however.

The adversary is the father of all lies. So irrespective of what lies (e.g. theory of evolution or Big bang theory) we should keep on believing God's words. Don't try to debunk all their lies but keep your focus on God.

The word FAITH has 2 meanings. ONE, means, a religion, e.g. Christian, Judaism, Islam, Mormon, Buddhism. The other meaning IS, believing something WILL happen eventually.

if you refuse to look at your hand that doesn't mean it doesn't exist... people refuse to seek God, refuse to read the Bible and then they claim He doesn't exist It requires faith to look at your hand and see with your eyes it's real, in the same way it requires faith to look for God to see He is real But if you don't have faith, you don't look and blame others who do, and know God, you can know Him too, just read the Bible, it's God's Word

Wait, I don't understand. Trust and faith are being presented here as the same thing. I don't know if I believe in Jesus as the Son of God (I lack faith), but I would trust him because the man seemed reasonable (I don't lack trust).

God requiring faith in us is like dropping your child off in another county and hoping he can find his way home. It makes no sense and would be a pointless lesson. Faith is only a word invented for situations that don’t make sense. The definition is literally “believing something without proof”. Please make sense of that. Also faith does not apply when your spouse is driving. You have driven with your spouse many times and based on evidence you make an educated guess that you will make it to your destination safely. If I drop my child off away from home where he is unfamiliar and never found his way home before would you have “faith” that he would make it home? I bet your ass would be out there looking for him.

It doesnt take a psychologist to tell that you're bias w this thinking, that analogy too was also a poor one. We would never know if that child would find their way back home, we cant predict the outcome becausd there are too many variables and factors of life. Sure I would put faith in God to bring them too me, but if I was a parent put faith in God that he would help me find it. We can still act in situations like that, and have strong faith.

@@Bugsy0333 Miracles are descirbed to be events that go against law of nature or possibilities. You're thinking in the way of man. Logic cant explain every single little thing in life. Not everything will make sense to us or would be explainable.
