We can't have Arabs owning the media right, that would be problematic because they might have alternative agendas, I mean, they might have a different perspective on things than other semitic groups that have a large stake of media control and we can't have that, can we...!

Nelson explains this about eleven minutes in to the video - it's not about foreigners, it's about any government interference with a free press.

Very interesting .... Why is this newspaper so valuable ? It has a very large library of stories, details relating to individuals, governments, corporations. Endless cross configurations. Relationships and power struggles. Present and past. A veritable Bletchley Park. £ 600 m is on the cheap side, I suggest. Compare it to Balliol College Library ? Who knows ? The story goes way way back to William Randolph Hurst 1880's. He built up an empire through negotiation and deals. Rupert Murdoch built up his empire , through more negotiation and more deals. Is it right..... non newspaper people just walk in and buy something that's taken generations to assemble ? Should the journalists have a right to buy ? Should they have absolute right to their treasured work ? Because this legislation , third reading is our journalists future they are protecting. From the .... I am trying to find a word ...from the interloper ? Next question ... Should all companies be open to workers ownership ? Effectively keeping the capital less mobile ?

By "the free market" do you mean the freedom of autocracies to buy up the infrastructure of democracies, and then use the resulting influence in the interests of their own political and religious ideologies, is more important than the freedom of the press to be able to criticize the power to do such things?

It's a shame these cheap shots from keyboard warriors don't also "just go away". I don't see a single analytical or articulate or philosophically grounded comment or argument or discussion point in either of those sentences, just emotional reaction and sniping without justification. I don't know Nelson, but listening to him in this video, there is a hell of a lot more thought and reason than there is in this "criticism". So who looks the most clueless, exactly?
