Gotta say Redeye, you are doing wonders at humanizing Segal, I actually hate him less now than ever before, he was rude to my grandma when she asked for an autograph, so I still hate him, but less, and that’s great for me! 😊

Very good action movie. Steven Seagal was on fire back then. Seriously good action choreography and he actually took care of himself physically. By the way, he was already losing his hair in his first feature film.
At least back then he could run, even if it looked ridiculous. Also, I totally forgot that the man, the legend, the one and only Keith David was in this.
This isn't the only movie of Seagal's that Keith David is in. It's really amazing to see the number of movies and tv shows Keith David was in during the 1990's and 2000's.
I remember going to see this at the movies when I was like 14. I was suppose to meet my friend there but he never showed, so I watched the movie alone….and that is what I remember most about this movie.
Great review! Segal's flappy-arm run was great fun to watch. I also remember the early Segal sported an odd toe-walk where his heels never touched the ground. Apparently someone told him the heel-toe walk was better and he took the advice.
I refuse to get Raid, unless we get a RedEye skin! Or even a champion: the reviewer! He could be a debuffer, caused by his comedic reviews of enemy abilities.
This was before phone games and TSA checks. This was sooooooo silly and it was as much fun listening to you enjoy your job as it was the jokes themselves.

And actor Tom Wright, who played the Jamaican cop, is really from New Jersey. He fooled Seagal into believing it. When he revealed the truth, Seagal never spoke to him again.

Ever notice how in the older Seagal movies they always put him together with great actors and together it almost makes a good movie? but then in his later stuff they got them teamed up with like a ham sandwich an old gym sock, a swivel chair… it’s just absolutely pathetic now.
Must say I'm surprised it took this long to get to this one. But then this was his prime so..less to laugh about I suppose. Also what you said at 14:38 reminds me of the time my g/f mom hadda chastise some teenagers who were being obnoxious in front of her house, and she found out they were drunk off 'Mike's Hard' she called them pussys 😆
So let me get this straight. The throughline on this story is Steven Seagal just happened to be at a bar where a drug gang turf war hit happens, and then one of the gangs decides to do a driveby on his house for some reason. That makes Steven Seagal go Out for Justice. Whoops! Different (same) movie.
My fave Segal flick, warts and all. At this point i realized he's no Jackie Chan or Donny Yen. Maybe it was Will Sasso on MadTV made him seem as goofy. But I did like the guy playing the bad guy(s).
I always wondered whenever watching this movie how exactly the liquor bottle filled with gas and a rag breaks when thrown in the back of a mustang. I get it’s a ford, uncomfortable back seats but won’t break a bottle.
