Why Does The Cookie Run Fandom HATE Gingerbrave!? 

I feel like Gingerbraves design choice was because: He's supposed to be an "ordinary cookie" that was meant to be eaten by the witch. Him being "basic" is literally what lead him to strive to be a braver cookie: to not be considered an ordinary cookie. If Gingerbrave had a more complex design his story wouldn't make sense

Wait, people hate Gingerbrave? He's not good to use in the games but his character is really entertaining.

I love Gingerbrave dearly, but a part of me does wish we do get to see some of his trauma shown, because boy has been through A LOT. If we dont, that's fine too. I just want ppl to not bully him for dumb reasons, Gingerbrave is a still , at heart, a kid, learning about the world. Kids do silly things or act a certain way due to different situations.

I love him, he's simple but I love him still.

I never really hated him, he was just fine but after watching this, it made it more clear to me why I liked the Pond Dino update story so much (hint: Gingerboi ain't there that much) I also find it silly how he cured White Lilies hundred or smth year old existential worries with just ONE CONVERSATION

I don't hate GingerBrave, I have always loved him because he give me vibes of Shōnen protagonists except without super strong powers. I also really enjoyed Jeremy Shada's voice for him, it also fits GB because he is famously known for playing Finn from Adventure Time. And I could see some similarities between them.

he's literally the main reason that cookie run even exists and he's been through too much in his 15 years of existence and is at this point the mascot of Devsisters not just cookie run. WE GOTTA APPRECIATE HIM MORE LIKE HE'S FUNNY AS ALL HELL 😭

I never really disliked Gingerbrave but I found the Special Episodes in CRK so refreshing since they didn’t use the main crew. We got to see the story from the perspectives of immortal grandmas, curious yet confined mermaids, ex-lonely children, and so much more

In all honesty, I love Gingerbrave. Hes adorable and I would love to give him a hug. But the main problem I have is how much plot armor he has. (I’m mainly gonna be talking about kingdom here) Gingerbrave is basically Tanjiro in my eyes. A kind hearted character with trauma that has the biggest amount of plot armor I have ever seen. Gingerbrave literally beat Dark Enchantress, A few of the ancients, and other powerful beings that should have easily crumbled him in a fight. And somehow, he also ended up playing the role of the Ancient Heroes’ therapist and Pure Vanilla’s Pokémon GINGERBRAVE IS A CHILD. And somehow he’s already guaranteed to be sent into a deadly war. But knowing his plot armor, he most likely gonna survive and leave unscathed.

I’m really glad you made this video as I, for the longest time, had a very hard time understanding why people hated GingerBrave. The points you brought up do help me understand other people’s views, and I appreciate that. To me, I agree GingerBrave isn’t the most interesting character, but he does his job of being the mascot character well and I love how positive he is. He’s a good friend to others and is indeed, a very brave Cookie.

Though the design is simple, with all the complex designs in cookie run games it does help him stand out and make him iconic It's also great that even after all the cookies, you'd considered Gingerbrave to be the protagonist because of repetition on how the story starts.

Hes not even brave bro, pick him up in kingdom and he starts SCREAMINNGG But either way, I still kinda like gingerbrave! Aside from the fact that he isn't as brave in kingdom than he is in ovenbreak, he could probably resist some one as powerful as longan! Why? well.. -The only way longan would be able to turn a cookie to stone is by SCARING them, but I don't think gingerbrave is afraid of longan! To further add on to this, gingerbrave in witch's castle was willing to face the witch, just to save our lil dozer! Timekeeper -I know timekeeper has the power to do as she wants, whenever she wants, but if Gingerbrave HAS to be there in every situation, then she kinda can't get rid of him! Dark Enchantress -(Talking abt the one in kingdom, not ovenbreak cuz she kinda weak there) In kingdom, Gingerbrave is able to convince white lily that, even though cookies were made to be eaten, they can still live life and have fun! If gingerbrave told her this before she fell into the ultimate dough, ALL OF DARKNESS WOULD BE GONE!!!11 all the big and powerfull cookies, (aside from hollyberry) struggle with trauma, but gingerbrave is able to endure all of that with little to no problem! I could go on but I don't got all day lol He's basic, but hes cool ✌

For the design, I think the standard gingerbread man design is fine, there's nothing wrong with it, even if he's naked. As for personality.. he's not brave, he's reckless. Well, in some portrayals. In some stories, especially Ovenbreak, he rushes in without thinking, which isn't what bravery is. Bravery is to keep going despite your fears, but sometimes Gingerbrave acts with a lack of fear, which is recklessness. And as for his role in the story.. the Creme Republic's story, AKA, the Odyssey, made me dislike Gingerbrave. Not hate, but I don't have any respect for him anymore. Obvious spoilers ahead. When Clotted Cream and Gingerbrave talk, Gingerbrave just.. REVEALS the biggest secret to a random person he just met and who he doesn't have any idea who he is. Clotted Cream could've been LYING and could have been a spy for Dark Enchantress (it IS a possibility). He revealed a secret that was Pure Vanilla's to tell, because it was HIS CLOSEST FRIEND, Gingerbrave just tells it, not even to other ancients, but to a damn STRANGER. But for another thing, while White Lily's is seen walking up to the crystal and asking Gingerbrave to destroy, and Dark Enchantress pops out of it, the gang had no direct confirmation that they were the same person, again, this all could have been a ploy by Dark Enchantress.

I feel like the vr game gave him Justice. And when i was thinking about beast yeast i was thinking what if gingerbrave sacraficed himself instead of elder fiere. (I feel like elder fiere didn't deserve to die and just be in the story and die litteral after 5 cutscenes and unsurprisingly be playable in the next update after that). And with what the vr game emploed. What if all the bravery of all the cookies were able to bring him back with him learning more about himself in some way. And as something i believe would be raw as f. That when gingerbrave gets revived it causes the reborn of DARKEST LORD COOKIE seeking revenge towards gingerbrave. (I was speaking for way too long)

Gingerbrave may be simple but, i still like this little guy! He's my favorite cookie all the time! I don't care if He's useless in every games, i still like him. I'm a guy who likes main protagonists, which he's one of them.

Honestly yeah. I understand the hatred of GingerBrave from a writing standpoint but I blame the writers rather than the character itself. I feel like the "forced inclusion' would make sense if we actually dug deeper into it. I remember people saying it should've been Black Raisin who went to the Creme Republic instead of GingerBrave and that's understandable. Black Raisin is supposed to be Pure Vanilla's trusted bodyguard. But Pure Vanilla knows more than anyone how capable GingerBrave is. He crosses continents making friends and fighting for what's right which is a skill they need for dealing with the Republic. I think the fandom is quick to forget that because he's a kid. The only forced inclusion I didn't get is him entering the "Finding the Dragons" story. I don't think it was really necessary for his group to be there and he should really be focused on "Finding Paradise". Are the dragons an obstacle for that? Yeah. Did the Guild Gang need some extra hands? Probably. But otherwise I don't understand why the writers threw them in. I also really wish they changed GingerBrave from a static character. It makes sense for him to be a POV character and to represent the player but it is seriously going to mess up the enjoyment of the story, especially in the Darkest Night. GingerBrave is going to be the center and there's no going around it. The story is centered around him as the prophecy. Unless the writers introduce a situation that is bigger than him, distracting him from his own arc, he has to come to terms with who he is meant to be and if he even wants to. If GingerBrave follows the hero's journey, there's no familiar world he can return to because he never had a chance at one. He should be rightfully miserable and the writers should explore that. But hey that's just opinion-

I love him because of the barrage of costumes in oven break. (God I love sugar gnomes) And his character towards other cookies. Specifically the cookies who are strong and want to take over earthbound in whatever.The fact he was the only cookie who stayed with sugar glass in the sugar glass story was touching, him pulling up that line in the dragon story so lotus could join em, the whole time keeper story. Man this guy can really pull some sentences and is over all friendly and wholesome no matter what some cookies may do. Unlike some shows- uhm. Best character of that category of those characters for sure.

I don't understand why people don't like Gingerbrave at all! He seems like he would be a great person if he was real, and a very unique character who stands out in a way. I'm pretty sure he might be the only cookie with no "cookie " in their name, which is pretty unique if you ask me.

How to (probably) give bro actual necessary screen time: Mention his relationship with FUCKING DOZER! (CRK) (I actually hate that witch’s castle made him and dozer strangers instead of ACTUAL brothers. But the game just came out so I’ll give it a chance.)

I think his role in the story is more of a problem with CKR, Witch's Castle, and older CROB updates (such as the first TBD update). In CROB I think he's fine as he never appears in new updates that don't need him, but it gets to be a problem in Kingdom due to how lore heavy some cutscenes are and then he's Just There, completely ruining all immersion. Like why are these (basically gods) and heros talking to him /why do they trust him?? He's just some random kid???

GingerBrave isn't like the bravest of all, there are a lot of cookies that are much much braver than him. Though, GingerBrave's kinda cool imo

Why would anyone dislike him ? I have always loved him since I played the original 2009 ovenbreak game. He's the game star and mascot, he is why cookie run franchise exists. At the end of the day, he still means a lot to me.

It might be due to his plot armor. His literal ability is to dash into enemies and bounce back. Not to mention the skill can get canceled. In the lore he gets so far defeating enemies who really should beat him. I still love him though.

I like gingerbrave he reminds me of Finn from adventure time (mostly because of voice actor) he’s basic but he’s a starter cookie so it makes sense. He loves his friends and adventure and adds so heart to a pretty dark game all things considered. I would like it if they game him a few changes like wear pants. But he’s the cookie run mascot so expect big change is not to be expected.

Can't say much about points 2 and 3 since I've never really played Kingdom, but as for point 1... Do cookie run fans just hate when cookies look like cookies now?? Because when the characters don't have complex designs, anime eyes and whatnot, they're considered ugly by a large chunk of the community. Anyhow, I like Gingerbrave because he just has that charm to him that no other cookie can really replicate I think. He's a brave silly guy

I don't hate him, I just like more characters more. If you put him up against Red Velvet, Matcha, or some of the other characters I love of I'll say I don't really like him.

He maybe useless in the gameplay (due to his low stats) But hey, he still has the will of learn everything on Cookieland, and learns to understanding each cookie's feeling.

The reason why I don't like him is because I just don't like his personality. The way I see him is he acts too bold for himself and he thinks that Ihes going to be the best king ever and I know he thinks on other people but I just don't like it. I don't like his voice or anything so I barely ever use him in teams so pulling him a lot is very annoying

He isn’t really like the Steven universe trope. He’s only there like 70% of the time. Also he’s there on pure vanillas orders most of the time. Lots of others characters do other important things. He isn’t the main problem solver. He Judy’s kinda there. I don’t get the hate
