I just replaced my one group 27 with two 6v 225ah batteries. Batteries were wired in series for a 12v system. Now when I am plugged in to shore power and I turn my lights on my converter fan runs constantly. Any ideas? Lights are LED and it does it with one light as well?
In my RV it tge fan starts when charging house batteries and and makes trrrr sound. At tgat moment tge fan stops for a few seconds and starts back again repeating trrrrrrrrrrrrr sound which is annoying. Any thoughts what might cause it? Thanks for your responses!
I installed all new coach batteries. Now, when I turn on my "power button" my vent fan comes on. This has never happened before. Now I just found out that once I start driving the van, I can't turn off the fan. Not even manually. Any thoughts? Anyone?
Just purchased new Forest river TT and has electrical smell coming from converter. I pulled it out and checked all connections and for burnt board or areas of concern and see nothing. Is this normal or should I get it replaced. No smoke and everything is working. Thanks
There shouldn’t be a smell, it could be dust from the building of the trailer. Please call the Power Pro Technicians if you're concerned. They can help with all your questions 8777-294-8997, Option 1.
How about when hooked to shore power with no battery connected ? my fan seems to be turning on when i run my furnace and a few 12 volt lights. is this bad at all ?
WFCO converter fans are load based, meaning if you have enough 12V loads on the converter the fan will run and will increase the speed with more 12 V loads. Your furnace will be able to pull enough current to make the fan run on your converter. This is normal.
My battery is disconnected and I have nothing on and my fan still runs all the time. What causes this ? Also, will the fan run all the time when on battery power? Seems like this will drain the battery.
Our fans are designed to run when you apply enough 12 V load on the converter. With your battery being a 12 V load, this will also make the fan run if the battery is taking a charge, if the battery is still trying to take a charge for multiple days, this can indicate a battery problem.
Not sure if my fan always worked full time, but lately it never shuts off. I am hooked up on the 120v and battery is also plugged in. If the battery is the one causing the fan to always work, should I disconnect it?
