I 100% agree with you. to add, unless they get something early on accident, canada is even worse for pre orders and exclusives. I've never seen a walmart exclusive for the lines I collect in canada. good talk billy. -jabroni

I think a lot of us are in the mindset of: We were told via Mattel That the remaining origin figures were going to be sold through Mattel Creations. The fact that the new waves are not available there is strange. I did see that the stranger things skeletor was on there.. But again we were told it would be where we could order off MC. Yet we can't. Duplico did come back around So perhaps there is hope. Great job on the videos Billy. Thank you for making and sharing them with the community.

@walmart absolutely terrible retailer for action figures and collectibles, disorganized messy and uneven distribution and mass preorder cancellations makes @walmart incompetent as they are.

That hat has been through hell and back. Walmart sucks because there's no regulation. I believe that what you can order online is only a set amount put into the system and will only ship from a number of warehouses, not stores themselves. That's kinda smart because it means they'll still make it to the shelves, but not to every Walmart. It's also not helped when you have pegwarmers which cause some stores to be skipped over for the good shit because they didn't have enough room to warrant another stock order for said items. As far as cancelling an order goes, I'm not entirely sure how it happens with orders fresh into the system, but damage along the way is possible. Do they only cancel the last X amount of orders, or is it a random selection? If, say, Mattel is allotting you 1000 items to sell, and you sell all 1000, but in transit 20 get damaged and cannot be sold, have to be destroyed, that's 20 orders get cancelled. During Covid, they quarantined a whole shipment of premium Hot Wheels, that set didn't make it to shelves for like 6-9 months, maybe longer.

I heard the Walmart stories for sure, but I gotta add that one thing they do right is clearance. Granted, the figs they put on clearance are usually ones people might already own, but the prices are dramatically slashed from their MSRP. But, yeah, the way Walmart handles exclusives is pretty horrible.

Even when they do get shit, you gotta beat the flippers to the good figures. At least that's how it is for me.
